Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

I cannot remember why I chose 8x8. All that I know is that when a competitor (Atlantic Broadband, for instance) hears that I'm using 8x8 they disappear rapidly. Over the years (and I think my estimate of 10 is low), I've found 8x8 to be a great advantage in business and life.

8x8 offers similar features to the ShoreTel system we used before we relocated. Not all of the features stack up to the quality of the ShoreTel system, but with the price point as low as it is for 8x8, it provided the features we required without a major investment in system hardware. Between ShoreTel and 8x8, we tried Microsoft Skype for Business with their "phone system." While some of the features were present, they were disorganized and many of them worked only intermittently. Users could not perform basic voicemail tasks on desk phones as you would expect with a phone system. That's why we decided to move to a different provider, choosing 8x8. 8x8 had better features that actually worked and allowed users to return to using their desk phones as most of them prefer to do. We chose 8x8 because it was well-reviewed, had a low cost of entry and ongoing cost of ownership, and had the features we needed.

The main choice for me was simplicity and cost. I'm a small business, so being able to get a fax line and a cell line with all the associated features for such a low cost and have it work reliably was just an amazing asset. This was completely worth the investments and within the range of affordable for me.

As far as capabilities and ease to use, they all seem about the same. If you are not technologically savvy this all can be a bit difficult to set up by yourself. Nextiva had great customer service, but the service was not cost-effective and call texting was ridiculously complicated. If I could have access to tech support via chat it would be a lot less time-consuming.

We replaced Allworx phone system. It did the job, but the new 8x8 X Series system is great. The added feature for sending and receiving text messages is awesome. The ability to change settings and the ease of this is great.

I selected 8x8 X Series from a referral from another agent. The price fit my budget and they gave 2 months' free on the installation. Hopefully, the initial frustration I experienced with the long installation and back and forth calls will eventually pay off with sales for my business now that the system seems to be working.

8x8's management interfaces are much more user friendly and intuitive compared to Ring Central.
You can setup just about anything in minutes with 8x8 where in Ring Central you would still be searching their menus.

We used an IP Phone solution from Windstream, which was purchased over 10 years ago. It was difficult to maintain, had no mobility options, or even a mobile application. That system was never updated with new features or functionality. To be blunt, we were sold a product and then the vendor disappeared. $1000s invested and left disappointed. The 8x8 X Series changed all of that in a matter of days.

8x8 was a replacement for local cable company lines and an older PBX system. We chose it because it was much more price competitive, and allowed us much greater control over call queues, users, and schedules. We also wanted a much more full-featured auto-attendant, that was more flexible than anything we could program on our PBX or get through the hybrid-VOIP system from the local company.

Both systems have their own strengths and weaknesses. RingCentral Meetings is better than 8x8 X Series. Ring Central has Glip and 8x8 does not have that in the X Series. 8x8 has fewer glitches and better technical support than RingCentral.

This system is much better. It’s been many years since I have used Vonage or Ring Central, but this system is much better. Yosemite, my rep, is the best. The best feature you have is this guy in your team. Get 100 guys like him and you’re unstoppable. I can’t stress that enough. He’s great.

8x8 X Series was one of the most affordable and comprehensive available. They were responsive during the sales and training process and helped walk us through our use case. We thought it was pretty clearly the winner despite a few gaps as mentioned, but those are not major and it works for us.

The primary reason that we chose to test 8x8 X Series was the free trial period and the subscription/hardware incentives offered. In all aspects, 8x8 stacked up neck and neck with the other companies we looked into. These offerings pushed them over the top and allowed us to truly evaluate the service to ensure it fit our needs.
