Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

To improve the system, Act-On is developing custom reports and workflows. It is incredibly flexible as well as functionally sound and reliable. The other features that our team enjoys the most are the features such as all contacts. Creating landing pages and web forms is a snap with Act-On. Act-On Software was instrumental in resolving my issue.

We investigated heavily into automation platforms prior to purchasing. Act-On was easily the stand out because:
  1. Interactive reporting. Getting behavioral data and other analytics is critical for us making the educated decisions we need for our business to continue to succeed.
  2. Enhanced and easy-to-use tool. Landing pages, emails, forms, etc. all have extremely easy-to-use interfaces. When creating content, we don't have time to work with a coder (I'm not a coder myself). Act-On's tools empower me and my team to efficiently and effectively create what we need when we need it.
  3. Even for the items that were non-promotional such as a make-shift ticketing service, Act-On's transactional emails were able to be rapidly delivered to customers who complete a specific behavior.

I'm overall thrilled with Act-On and look forward to their product roadmap in our ever-changing marketing world.

Hootsuite allows me to add a month's worth of content to all of our social media platforms at one time. My problem with Act-On is it would not connect our accounts and when it did it would not use the company account. It would only use my personal account. Hootsuite also gives you a view of what was sent and what is pending. You can schedule certain post for certain days, times and platforms. Everything can go together or separately.

Our previous provider was not able to provide the level of reporting functions and multiple customer segmentations that we enjoy today. Now I set the segmentation queries and never have to run it again because it auto-updates! Wonderful!

We looked at using Pardot and decided to use Act-On due to pricing and ease of use. Pardot had a better Salesforce connection since they are owned by Salesforce. Pardot was very expensive and didn't offer some of the functionality we were looking for. For example, Pardot does not offer GDPR dynamic forms.

We like to know a variety here, and we know multiple marketing automation platforms to help provide the best direction to our clients. We need to provide the know-how in many different use cases. Sometimes, Act-On isn't always the best solution for a company's needs. Marketers have to be adaptable to help themselves and others drive success.

We have been evaluating HubSpot and Zoho CRM. These 2 are more expensive and more robust. These include more of the sales side interactions like pipelines, tasks, marketing emails, etc. Our team uses ACT as more of a Rolodex then a tool. Because we do have an outside ticket system so linking them all together is harder.

I am a relatively new HubSpot user and have only used a few different things on there but so far, the UI/UX is much more pleasant, seems more organized, seems more capable in general. I had heard rave reviews about HubSpot from my former coworkers who were using Act-On with me, and from my current coworkers who have primarily used HubSpot in their careers. I'm still getting into the weeds myself but it does seem more comprehensive, even the internal member tracking/info collecting you can do seems to be more thorough.

I think that if you're just starting out in email marketing, you'll probably navigate to a tool like Mailchimp. When you've gotten a good base of what the industry is and you want to do a little bit more, then you'll upgrade to HubSpot and then to Act-On. I feel like Act-on is a top tier software that rivals Marketo in some features, yet falls severely short in other areas.

Act-On is the scrappy little program that could. One of the biggest problems of the larger ESP and ABM services is that companies have to meet a high standard with their other software and IT in order to use them. I think this is a big failing on their part, considering that the majority of small to medium-sized businesses are using old out-of-a-box software that doesn't integrate. Act-On is the only software for marketing automation that creates a bridge between the two. Our company started with Act-On 2 years ago and we are still "getting a new CRM soon." With Act-On, those two years have contained the sales insights of Act-On and gathering data. Once we do finally get a CRM connected, we will just be able to build on that history, instead of starting over.
Additionally, Act-On charges you for active contacts, rather than the size of your full database. This is another differentiator that will save a company a lot of money.

We used to use a combination of SugarCRM and INBOX25, but we moved to a Microsoft platform and had to go to a compatible platform. Act-On was the perfect fit since it was compatible with both Sugar CRM and Dynamics CRM, which made our change over and integration relatively easy. Marketo is a very robust platform, but really more suited to larger companies using Salesforce. Act-On seems a better fit for a smaller organization like ours.

Act-On has a much more hands-on customer support focus than any of the other companies that we have worked with that do similar things. They also have a really easy to use platform (however I know they all do). It's one of those products that you feel good when you are using it.

Act-On is easier to use than Marketo, but not as visually appealing and user-friendly as HubSpot. It's much better than Pardot, as Pardot feel clunky every step of the way. SharpSpring is comparable because of its price point but surpasses Act-On in its tools and intuitive interface. We selected Act-On because of the pricing model and thought all things would be close to parity with other options. It depends on the team you have. If you have developers and a marketing team that knows some html/css, you can get by with Act-On.

Act-On was decided upon by the Marketing and Operations team. I am part of the Development team and was consulted on the aspects of reporting. However, our Marketing/Operations team were very pleased with the way you could personalize and create your own emails and campaigns without having to place many hours into the details. Our organization is on the smaller side with around 20 people so being able to manage one's time is critical to the success of our organization. Act-On is very easy to teach colleagues and this was one of the reasons it was chosen. Pardot is more complicated on many different levels.

Act-On does most everything that Marketo and HubSpot can and Act-On does some of them better and some of them worse. I've outlined the strengths and weaknesses of Act-On already. I am familiar with Marketo and HubSpot but not familiar enough with them to create a matrix type of comparison. Some of the differences are just different, not better or worse. For example, Marketo throws all the contacts into a master list of sorts and segments are created via queries. Act-On has user-created lists and segments built off each list.

Act-On has similar features as SharpSpring, but in my opinion, delivers better. While their customer service is not excellent, it is better than my experience with SharpSpring. As for MailChimp, Act-On has more robust features. But, it is also dramatically more challenging to set-up and deploy programs.

HubSpot's pricing tiers are much cheaper in some cases, and they provide some of the tools that are included with Act-On Software's premium tiers. I believe Act-On has more versatility in tracking conversion and other rates out-of-the-box compared HubSpot, which is why we chose Act-On for our production metrics and have continued using their products.
