Excellent for emails and landing pages
- ActiveCampaign is great for creating simple and complex automations easily and for almost any use case you can think of.
- No code Email template design. ActiveCampaign allows you to quickly create stunning email marketing templates with no code (though I think you also have the option to use code if you want to).
- ActiveCampaign as CRM may not be the most powerful although when combined with their automations it may well be. But typically we use it in its most basic form and this allows our clients to manage their clients very easily with little interference or even education from us.
- I use the ecommerce feature for email template design and there's been a bug where I can't change the colours of the shopping block to match a theme. Which is annoying in of itself and is actually quite critical but beyond that it would be nice if they could either fix it quickly or keep me up to date on the progress of the fix.
- It could be a little bit easier to find pricing online.
- Support isn't online at all times of the day, which is understandable but definitely would be a nice thing to have.

- Contact sorting - Contacts are automatically sorted alphabetically by email, which is absurd. In order to view contacts by most recent (which to me would be the most desired view), we have to click "Date Created" twice every time we go to the contacts screen.
We switched to ActiveCampaign earlier this year, and the onboarding experience was superb. They helped us migrate all our information from our previous CRM and walked us through how to use it according to our specific needs. We were very happy with the ease of the transition.
To top it off, ActiveCampaign is so affordable for us. It offers great value, not only with the features included in the platform itself but also with the top-notch customer support. I'm so glad we switched to ActiveCampaign!

- The ability to edit plain text versions of HTML emails needs adding.
- Button text tends to break onto two lines in some email clients.

Recommended, with caveats
There is a learning curve and there are still areas to focus on and utilize for my benefit. It's not a cheap product but it does provide good value if you fully leverage what it offers.
- Newsletters/campaigns - I've found it easy to create the newsletter I want to send out.
- Contact information - particularly the tagging facility which really is useful.
- Reporting information - great to get insight into what is working and what is not.
- Deals - I'm finding that this area doesn't yet reflect how I'd like to work. WIP.
- Campaigns - I've praised this and rightly so, but there are still improvements to be made in formatting and flexibility.
- Pricing - particularly for sole traders.

It is simple to use, has GREAT customer service, and they'll go above and beyond to show you how to properly use the tool. In our company, it is the only solution we recommend when it comes to email marketing.
- Their onboarding process is off the charts! They have a great customer journey that teaches you how to use their product.
- Incredibly complex, surprisingly simple. Usually, complex software is difficult to use or has a long learning curve. ActiveCampaign is very intuitive and simple to use.
- They have a great support system. Their customer support is easy to get a hold of and they have plans in place to answer any question you may have.
- For what we use it it might have a little "too much", but it doesn't really affect our performance. It might just create a temporary distraction.
It has all the solutions that we need and more. Their customer service is ff the charts and will help you quickly with any issues you may have.
Lastly, their education program is great. Thorough resources and opportunities to get on calls with experts that can show you how to properly use and leverage the software to grow your business.
Totally recommend using ActiveCampaign as your email marketing software of choice.
