I use ActiveCampaign both as a CRM and as an email platform that connect to different applications I use in my business. It allows me to be able to simply get clients connected and access to what they need through the amazing automation system built within the app. It also allows me to send out campaign specific emails with ease for when I run challenges. It takes a lot of the grunt-work away from my day to day.

It's well suited if you want to do lead generation to get email addresses into your list, and connect those clients with their opt-in item.
It's got a pretty great feature for custom labels where you can also track the time and method of how they got into your list, which allows you to be able to follow up with clients who've not been involved in specific campaigns. The automation tool is great.

We are using active campaign to automate marketing processes among small businesses in Australia.

Once set up it is being used primarily by the business owner and the sales associates (including the owner in case of small businesses).

Business owners find it difficult to actively engage with their prospective clients and miss out on a lot of revenue. ActiveCampaign fits into this gap and, using marketing automation recipes, it helps with focusing on nurtured clients who are better informed and more suited to buy from the business.

It is very well suited for businesses of any size (especially small business due to its low introductory pricing) where the business is ready to create processes out of their existing sales process. It is more apt for businesses that genuinely want to create content that their prospective clients would like to know about.

It is not appropriate where the sales team is not interested to make the sales process transparent. It is less apt for businesses that are not sharing only sales information with their clients through this platform. The approach has to be more inbound for this to work effectively.

I use ActiveCampaign to build a list of my clients and prospects, but more than that it allows me to have a very interesting insight about who is interested, when, where did they click on the e-mail, when they opened it, what title worked, what word... it's almost building a database of what should be said during a future interview. I created a system to give "ratings" to people so that I know if they are really interested, if they come back to read again the e-mail. Pretty cool.

ActiveCampaign helps me automate my email marketing campaigns and materials to my customers. It gives me peace of mind knowing that I can still send customized outreach to my customers and on auto-pilot. The usability is pretty easy and the support staff is so kind whenever problems arise. I would totally recommend this platform to other e-commerce businesses. I sell physical products and still find it very valuable for what I like to offer my customers. It's not only for service based businesses but also super value for product based e-commerce businesses.

I think ActiveCampaign is PERFECT for service based e-commerce businesses. Since I am a product-based business, I believe that there could be a few more tools added but, overall I am extremely happy with the way my account is running for my business. For the price point, I believe that you should have at least 700 contacts to take advantage of all the features ActiveCampaign has to offer.

I use it to handle my inbound sales leads and my sales funnel. It's truly a set it and forget it solution for me, as I don't have to manage it on a daily basis. Once things are set up correctly, you no longer have to put much effort into it.

I use ActiveCampaign to manage my brand and send campaigns to my customers. The UI is slick and easy to use. The feature set is great. And it's super simple to create complex things like automations. I've tried out other email solutions in the past, and while many of them stack up with one another, AC is definitely my favorite. I'd recommend it for sure.

We use ActiveCampaign across every division of Catalyst Resource Group, including our Movie Division as well as our non-profit. It has been THE answer to our automation and e-mail marketing needs. We have hundreds of thousands of contacts we manage on a daily basis. AC allows us to easily and effectively communicate with them and drive to different projects.

  • CRM - with the ability to create custom fields and forms, it has handled our massive load of contacts without a problem
  • Support - wonderful LIVE CHAT function gets answers quickly AND their enablement team we meet with each month helps us to use AC with its full power.
  • Easy To Use - AC has been the easiest software we have ever used. They even have great training modules provided.
  • Perfect tool for the full customer cycle - acquire new leads, drip campaigns, sales
  • ActiveCampaign has some great design elements but would like to see more. The available fonts are limited, email styling is limited.
  • Text Message integration. AC does have some but would be good to be able to do more with it.
ActiveCampaign has been THE answer to our organization's CRM and marketing needs. We have several divisions/departments with hundreds of thousands of contacts. It can be a daunting task to keep each contact in their proper places and be able to daily communicate. However, AC has made it easy! We can now create landing pages with forms... that then tags and places them into proper lists. We can easily create automations and campaigns to communicate and follow up. Everything you need in one place.

ActiveCampaign is my go-to email service provider. Its ease of use, flexibility, integrations, and overall robustness allows me to limit the other tools I need to use for my business. The ability to set up tagging, lists, automations, and rules, allows me and my team to set up systems and let them run in the background without having to constantly edit, review, and maintain them.

With ActiveCampaign I was able to automate the management of my courses. Before it was a lot of handwork. Now it got much better. The main benefit is the communication with my students. There is a longer sequence with conditional events that is now easy to handle and much less error prone.

We use ActiveCampaign for all of our email marketing purposes. By switching from Constant Contact to ActiveCampaign, we were finally able to capture some consumer data so we can better personalize our marketing efforts. We also use the CRM to create promotions for certain gift occasions. For example, we recently started using our CRM to send reminder emails to customers who have previously purchased birthday gifts. It works great for us and our customers really appreciate the reminders!
  • Support! The customer support team is SO helpful, always patient, and they're very kind.
  • Capturing customer data. We get some very interesting insights into what our customers' preferences.
  • The email design interface is awesome! They provide a ton of beautiful templates
  • There are so many onboarding and training resources that you'll rarely encounter a problem that doesn't already have a tutorial online.
  • The only thing I would really like to see is better reporting. I wish there was a dashboard that showed big-picture stats like Constant Contact did. You can run reports to get the same information, it was just a lot easier to see the snapshot on Constant Contact.
ActiveCampaign is well suited for B2C companies like ourselves. I can also definitely see opportunities in the B2B atmosphere because of their wonderful CRM.

I would even venture to say that ActiveCampaign has the ability to completely run a company's sales processes. If you fully integrate ActiveCampaign with your POS, you can get some really interesting consumer information!

ActiveCampaign is being used for email contact and tracking people through many multistep funnels that we have set up. The more we learn about ActiveCampaing the more we look at what else can we use the system for.

  • Provides a link between multiple software platforms utilising the API integrations
  • When you go into Automations, two thirds of the screen is taken up with helpful information but it would be better if the screen was reorganised so that more of the automations were visible.
  • A linkage to Cliniko would be great if we can get it. Cliniko currently only links to Mailchimp
ActiveCampaign is linked to many API integrations. It is fantastic to be able to pass information easily from our website and from our client management system over into ActiveCampaign.

I wouldn't expect it to be able to deal with more complicated pipeline information including conversion statistics though.

ActiveCampaign is the email marketing system that we use at True Blue Marketing, LLC for our funnels and newsletters. It is a streamlined system with an impressive CRM-style database that's more robust than competitors I've used in the past (5+ years) which allows us to have more in-depth metrics when scoring potential leads for sales.

  • Great deliverability (better than competitors)
  • Impressive integrations with many, many systems
  • The mobile app could use a view that shows scheduled emails and automations.
  • I'd prefer more integrations on the starter level of subscription.
I've worked with more than five major competitors and now recommend ActiveCampaign to clients (especially if I manage their client account) because it is a simple system that doesn't require coding knowledge in order to get a professional result, has great deliverability, good metrics into constituents, and integrates with the major systems I use with clients like WordPress, Divi, AccessAlly, MemberVault, and other membership site plugins.

If a client is looking for a very simple system for email deliverability without the need to integrate with other systems and/or to know more than very surface-level metrics, I'd consider ActiveCampaign but wouldn't necessarily recommend it since the smallest level of subscription is more than some competitors who offer basic email marketing features for low-cost or free. If you're serious about funnels, integrations, and/or constituent metrics, this may be for you!

As a small company with an even smaller sales organization, we have to automate most of the nurturing process. To that end, ActiveCampaign provides us with an easy platform to set up our automation, iterate as needed, and send general newsletters. It is also a great way to keep track of engagement as the contact DB is extremely powerful and integrates easily with our CRM.

Currently, we use Active Campaign for two companies: Escuela de Arte Online LLC and Nissimoo Enterprises LLC. We use it mainly for automation and autoresponders since it allows us to maintain an ongoing conversation with our current clients and to warm up new clients with welcome emails, downloads, freebies, discounts, and whatnot. Also, AC integrates seamlessly with all our other platforms so the process of taking new people through our customer journey and turning them into returning clients is fairly easy and automated.

We completely love Active Campaign for the automation. We use Shopify for both of our stores, both with physical products, and AC makes it a breeze to send new customers an entire path of several emails without having their emails in a specific list, which we find really useful. Contacts that aren’t in a list are not counted within the total contacts you get from AC, so you could have much automation for thousands of customers. If you need to send a specific campaign, let’s say a special discount for Mother’s Day, then you do need to have your contacts on a list.

ActiveCampaign is my autoresponder of choice. I use it to email my list on an almost daily basis. The emails provide valuable information, insights, challenges, and sometimes product offers.

ActiveCampaign provides me with tailored time delivery, ease of use, and customization. There's also the opportunity to spend a half-hour or so periodically with one of their experts who will help me to solve problems and make better decisions.

To me, one of the most amazing things is the foresight that they had to have in order to develop an autoresponder that can do some much, especially at such an affordable price.

I use ActiveCampaign for email automation when managing leads and new clients. It has been imperative to my customer service and my minimal work hours. It’s amazing that I can tag new users, and they receive emails in a specific order and [are] attuned to where they are at in their specific journey. I can see how engaged users are and therefore what kind of clients they are going to be. It’s absolutely worth the price!

We use ActiveCampaign as our main CRM and email marketing tool. We use the automation for nurturing and selling to our prospects and to send notifications to our current paid clients
  • Customer Support. It is fast and helpful
  • User friendly interface. Very easy to use
  • Drag & Drop features are extremely helpful when creating emails
  • full integration with other tools
  • Some glitches in the Automations tab (not showing the number of subscribers sometimes)
  • At certain times the platform gets a little slow
  • Price gets expensive when you have a little more than 10.000 contacts (the next tier is 25.000)
For onboarding and nurturing prospects is great and it is very detailed on what you can do throughout the sales process.
For transactional emails, I would suggest using a cheaper option. It is important to consider that this tool is very powerful for marketing purposes and it would be overkill to use it as a transactional notification system.

ActiveCampaign sets the bar for email marketing power and flexibility, which is why we use it ourselves and it is the first software that we recommend for our clients.

ActiveCampaign has three key advantages over every other email marketing provider: price, flexibility and integrations. Because the software is at a reasonable price point and is capable of integrating with virtually any marketing stack, it's the ideal solution when clients are looking to get into email marketing.

What impresses me about ActiveCampaign is that they continue to add features, such as a landing page builder, UX customization, and more just in the time that I've been using the platform. While there is a bit of a learning curve and the form designer isn't as robust as some of their competitors, there's not a lot to complain about for the insane value that you get from this product.

As a non-techy person, I think ActiveCampaign is a fantastic platform. It's user-friendly, easy to use, customer support is fantastic, as is the training support videos/FAQs. Everything is intuitive and well thought through. Now that I have learned how to use this platform, I wouldn't want to use another.
