While ActiveCampaign has a bit of a learning curve, it was extremely helpful in helping us set up systems, automations, and tracking our engagement. It's robust but not complicated (when you get the hang of it) and I feel like we have this massive, million dollar software for an affordable price.
  • Setting up automated systems
  • Tracking data
  • Integrations
  • Steep learning curve when you're learning the software
  • Ability to see the message for past campaigns without multiple clicks
If you want to set up robust automations that have several dependencies, ActiveCampaign has you covered. You can adjust everything as needed without too much hassle and set up an easy or complicated automation that will do everything that you want it to do. The data you can pull is also great and can help your business make better decisions.

ActiveCampaign is the perfect tool for my business. It allows me to perfectly design my email marketing and to exactly know my customer's behaviors. It gives me clarity about my selling process because I can follow each customer step by step. ActiveCampaign helps me to create a strong relationship with my customers.
  • Email marketing
  • Customers following
  • Selling process improved
  • More template emails
  • Videos explaining how to use it.
  • Better design
ActiveCampaign is well suited for email marketing and to create a strong relationship with customers over the years. For example, launching a company activity helps me to convey to my first customers our identity and my service promise. So far, I don't have any scenarios where it is less appropriate because for my business it is very suitable.

We use ActiveCampaign to track the progress of deals through our sales funnel. We also share emails with relevant and helpful educational content with our customers and prospects. We also send personalized emails through ActiveCampaign as well. It is a great tool that allows us to keep ourselves in front of our customers.
  • Great Metrics.
  • Intuitive Interface.
  • Easy Contact Management.
  • Once you send an email there is no way to review the content of it without copying it. So if I wanted to share an email that has been sent already with my team I have to duplicate it within the email builder.
ActiveCampaign suits as well as the pipeline tracking works well with our sales funnel process and allows us to feature our video content directly in the emailers. It was super easy to bring over our data from our old CRM and editing contacts in bulk is seamless.

We primarily use ActiveCampaign (AC) for automated email marketing and newsletters. It helps us nurture our leads automatically and generate sales. When leads sign up for a lead magnet, they get added to ActiveCampaign and send nurture emails for days-weeks before receiving sales emails. We also use ActiveCampaign for nurturing customers after a purchase. Because our product is a test that takes time to get results, we keep our customers "warm" by sending them emails over weeks about what they can expect.
  • It's easy to add/update contacts automatically
  • Designing automation is really flexible and easy to do
  • Campaign reports are in-depth and easy to interpret
  • The email designing part could be easier to use. There are certain simple shortcuts that don't work, for example, adding links is more complicated than it should be, moving blocks around is hard, etc.
  • There's no good way to filter by 'active' and 'inactive' subscribers when editing en-mass.
  • I'd like more reporting data on one page.
ActiveCampaign is great for anyone who wants loads of flexibility for building automations. They really excel at allowing you do build any automation you want.

However, because it's slightly more expensive than some other options for email marketing, if you're sending general newsletters or don't need complicated automations, you could go for a cheaper alternative.

I use ActiveCampaign to re-engage with customers, build landing pages and acquire leads, convert leads into conversions, and build embed forms on our website. We have linked our DB with ActiveCampaign, and in this way, we can filter every customer based on their own behavior and on their own data. We also use a lot the automation that lets you segment all the different paths that a customer can take (abandoned cart, birthday gifts, welcome kit email, etc.)
  • Automations
  • DB connection
  • Custom fields
  • Design template email
  • Conversations
  • Landing page
  • Tracking data
I think ActiveCampaign is well suited for enterprises with multiple paths/scenarios for their customers; if you need to segment customers, well, in this case, use ActiveCampaign. If you need to just send newsletters/campaigns, in this case, ActiveCampaign is ok, of course, but you don't use the entire suite of tools of ActiveCampaign.

With ActiveCampaign you can automate offers, list management, and contact management. You can schedule appointments, add notes to contacts, and send them direct messages. To improve the overall user experience, you can send personalized messages to your website users. To convert more visitors, you can build a kind of sales funnel.
  • For setup and automation of triggered campaigns, sales monitoring, automated segmentation, and dynamic email content, ActiveCampaign works well.
  • It is capable of sending sales emails automatically, one by one, through your own mailbox.
  • I would like ActiveCampaign to include the option to add phone numbers to contacts instead of just email addresses, that would be beneficial.
  • The ability to generate a report based on user activity on the website or in marketing emails is something I wish ActiveCampaign offered.
For creating landing pages, sending SMS, and having personalized discussions with website visitors, ActiveCampaign is effective. It's beneficial as it allows you to automate chatbots and even control how Facebook ads are shown to your connections. Automations can be started directly from emails you receive from leads.

We use ActiveCampaign for our online marketing automation for both client-side and customer-side funnels. ActiveCampaign integrates wonderfully with our eCommerce platform of choice and makes setting up advanced logic and custom flows super fast and easy without having to code hooks from the API.
  • Marketing Automation
  • Email Designer
  • Customer Support & Feedback
  • Ecommerce Logic and Dynamic Content
  • Integration with fulfillment platforms
  • Contact bot filtering & form builder
ActiveCampaign is awesome in complex automation scenarios. It delivers tools that competitors like Mailchimp and Hubspot cannot match with its integrations with eCommerce. ActiveCampaign is less appropriate for making signup forms due to its lack of support for invisible ReCaptcha v3 meaning each form needs to include the big ReCaptcha box unless you integrate it site-side.

ActiveCampaign allows me to seamlessly track my customer journey experience from start (inquiry) to finish (past client) so I can be organized and quickly communicate and nurture my clients throughout their experience with my company. ActiveCampaign has allowed me to scale my business to a level I would be unable to maintain without its features and integrations: email, text, phone call tracking and website form integration are a few places we commonly utilize ActiveCampaign.
  • Client nurturing
  • Email sequences
  • Organization of clients through different aspects of the business
  • Landing pages are not as user friendly compared to Click Funnels
  • Done for you templates for different categories of client engagement
One-stop shop for client management, engagement, and tracking are excellent!

We used ActiveCampaign after realizing that we had outgrown our 'homemade' marketing efforts of individually emailing potential leads. AC integrates nicely with salesforce and just made sense! It streamlines our email marketing campaigns and ensures that all leads are getting a targeted email campaign that works for them! And the best part is, the leads respond so well, thinking that it is the live agent themselves who is reaching out! This helps us turn our cool leads into HOT leads! I highly recommend this product.
  • Customized scheduling features.
  • User friendly interface.
  • Conditional logic makes sense.
  • Umm....more options for split responses.
We use it for following up with leads. It can be used in many ways.....

We use ActiveCampaign for our B2B marketing and sales (CRM). The automations are great and user-friendly. ActiveCampaign has many features, and it takes some time to learn how to use them all. It's worth it, though! We use chat support quite a bit. It's fast, and the support people are very polite and usually manage to help us. It has many integrations. We use the one with Google Sheets a lot. We also use webhooks. One feature that we find is missing is Whatsapp integration which they are working on. We highly recommend ActiveCampaign!
  • Automations
  • Sending marketing emails
  • Landing pages
  • WHATSAPP integration
  • Merging deals
  • Copying data from fields among contacts, tasks, accounts and deals
  • Importing has a few bugs
Preparing and sending emails, landing pages, and Automations work very well. CRM needs improving. ActiveCampaign is expensive for Brazil.

We use ActiveCampaign to build an email list to market our business. We link it to our marketing funnels and Google Ads. We send out marketing emails and newsletters.
  • Good user experience once you learn where everything can be found
  • Good delivery rate
  • Clear stats and contact information
  • Slow to load pages - although this may be my poor internet connection too!
I only have limited experience with this type of software but I did a lot of research before signing up. We are a very small business and it is a great way to keep us organised with email campaigns and sign-ups from the Google Ad Campaigns that we are running. I like that it integrates with the other software that we use, allowing automation to run, and tags to be added. I also like the visual layout for the automations.

ActiveCampaign is used primarily by our Marketing team, but it also integrates with our sales team communication. We use it for our weekly newsletter, marketing automation campaigns, signup forms, auto responses, etc. It's primary use it to connect with customers and potential customers. We have a community of users so email communication is extremely important for us.
  • Their HTML email builder is easy to use.
  • Their automation workflows have tons of options to send custom messages to your audience
  • It has advanced features at a much lower price than other vendors
  • I wish they had a landing page builder included (like other tools do)
  • Their forms are not very customizable
If you're a startup or small business and are looking for quality email automation at a low price, I can't recommend ActiveCampaign enough. But if you're looking for an all-in-one platform with the most advanced automation features, you'd probably be better off with a more expensive solution like Hubspot or Marketo.

We are currently using ActiveCampaign on both the corporate side and as an opt-in feature for our franchise locations. On the corporate side, we use ActiveCampaign to manage our franchise sales cycle. We use it to assign automations to leads that come in as well as assign tasks to our team in how those leads are handled. On the franchise side, it's used to manage client leads as well as handle the hiring process in some cases. ActiveCampaign is really useful in cutting out a lot of the grunt work involved. The automations can handle a lot and are very flexible in how they can be built. On top of that the interface is very intuitive and easy to learn.
  • ActiveCampaign is really easy to use unlike some of the other automation software available out there. The automated campaigns are very flexible and you can manage contact forms, emails, and users all in one system.
  • For the features it offers, it's the cheapest solution out there (as far as I am aware). ActiveCampaign offers a different range of pricing and even has a reseller program.
  • ActiveCampaign is still a relatively small and new company. As such, there are some features missing. For example, there is currently no way to change the design of any internal emails or notifications sent. This means if you are a reseller, any notifications your clients get from the system will be stuck with the blue color scheme.
  • Another big feature missing if the support for SSL on custom domains. Again, if you are a reseller and want your clients to access their system on a custom subdomain, the connection won't be secure unless you use ActiveCampaigns generated domain.
ActiveCampaign is well suited for businesses that need an easy to use automated campaign system. If you have previously used a service like Pipedrive before then you will find its bucket system intuitive. ActiveCampaign is great for managing and even generating leads through its automations. If you need an automation system that's very robust and has corner case uses, then ActiveCampaign is not for you. However, for most, ActiveCampaign will be the perfect solution as it is flexible enough and easy to learn use quickly. There's no steep learning curve here!

In my organization, we utilize ActiveCampaign across all departments - from marketing and sales to customer support, making it a crucial part of our business operations. We primarily use ActiveCampaign's powerful email marketing features to manage and optimize our email campaigns. The platform's intuitive design tools and vast template library have streamlined the process of crafting compelling emails, enabling us to maintain consistent engagement with our customers and prospects. Additionally, the split-testing functionality lets us experiment with different email elements, providing insights that drive better performance in future campaigns.
  • ActiveCampaign's marketing automation features have also revolutionized our workflows
  • We utilize ActiveCampaign's messaging features for sending targeted SMS and site messages, helping us reach our customers in real-time, and further driving engagement.
  • In terms of sales and CRM, ActiveCampaign provides a comprehensive view of our customer data, making it easier for our sales team to track and manage leads.
  • The mobile app could be improved. It doesn't offer all the functionality available on the desktop version, which can limit what can be accomplished when I'm away from my computer.
  • While the platform is comprehensive, its user interface could be more intuitive and load faster at times.
  • Some smaller businesses and startups might find ActiveCampaign's advanced features to be pricey. Offering more scalable pricing options or packages tailored to smaller businesses might be beneficial.
ActiveCampaign has proven to be a powerful and comprehensive tool for managing and optimizing our email marketing, customer relationships, and automated workflows. Its intuitive email design tools, robust automation features, and integrated CRM have significantly streamlined our processes and bolstered our customer engagement. Despite a few areas for improvement such as a more user-friendly interface and enhanced reporting capabilities, the platform's overall performance and the value it brings to our business make it deserving of a strong 9 out of 10 rating. Its capacity to personalize customer interactions and increase our operational efficiency has truly transformed the way we do business. We look forward to seeing the enhancements ActiveCampaign will undoubtedly bring in the future.

ActiveCampaign is being used across my entire organization. ActiveCampaign connects seamlessly to my client portal through a direct MemberVault integration. I use it for CRM, email marketing, form building, sales pages, gamification, and more! What I value the most about ActiveCampaign is its scalability. If I can think it up, I can build it in ActiveCampaign, and that is huge to me as a business owner.
  • With ActiveCampaign, I am able to build automated engagement workflows for my clients that are targeted to where they are in my unique client experience. We all want targeted and timely information, and ActiveCampaign makes this easy for me to provide to my customers.
  • With ActiveCampaign, I can integrate directly with MemberVault, within which I have built my client portal and all my offers. No double entering information or having to set up a third-party integration to zap my data from MemberVault to ActiveCampaign.
  • With ActiveCampaign's scoring abilities, it was very easy to extend the gamification within my client portal to things my clients do outside of the client portal. Not only can I reward clients for completing modules and lessons, but I can also reward them for reading emails and checking out my social media sites.
  • Every time I am creating a workflow, there comes a time when I will copy an action or set of actions and the system will give me the spinning wheel of death--until I refresh the screen. This is disruptive and happens so often that I see it as a part of using ActiveCampaign. That is not good, and if another system could do what ActiveCampaign does without this issue, I would leave ActiveCampaign. That is how frustrating this time suck is.
  • I wish that there were a way to input a field as text into another field so that whenever one field is updated, another field's data changes accordingly. For instance, if a client books an appointment with me for Monday and I want ActiveCampaign to input that date plus two days in another field.
  • I wish there was a way to make sales pages and forms pretty. These are so boxy and clunky and there is no modernization to draw the eye.
Someone or some businesses wanting their email marketing system to do the most if asked to, wants ActiveCampaign and will see value in the time it takes to set it up. Others who want their email marketing system to be simple, offer well-designed emails and sales funnel pages, and low in tech intensity will hate ActiveCampaign.

I am using it for my business first and then helping to implement ActiveCampaign for my client's email marketing. It is being used for broadcast emails, automated drips, and weekly reminder emails.
  • Easy To Use Interface
  • GREAT Email Creation Platform
  • Quality Reporting
  • Successful Email Drip Campaigns
  • Could use Better Integration into my CRM (Nimble)
  • Pop-Up (creation) Should be more customizable
If companies need more advanced features, it does provide a quality suite. It is more expensive than other, less complete options so you need to be utilizing the advanced options to make it worth the monthly or annual cost.

We are using ActiveCampaign for marketing automation and the CRM. We decided to migrate from Salesforce since Activecampaign's CRM did a lot of the things that we needed. Salesforce and Pardot (Salesforce's marketing automation software) is very pricey compared to ActiveCampaign.
  • Marketing Automation
  • CRMs
  • Integrations with other software
  • The gmail extension puts every spammer into Activecampaign as a Contact. I had to delete the AC Chrome extension.
Great for a company that does content marketing with opt-in forms.
Not so great for a call center. Pipedrive or Salesforce is better for a call center.

We are a small organization so as the only marketing person, I use Active Campaign for at least several hours every day. I use it for marketing purposes as well as fulfillment of complimentary e-news across our 6 newsletter brands. And soon, I will be using it to fulfill our paid newsletters and we will be incorporating a part of our business that is currently using a different email tool.
  • Easy to use. I love the drag and drop.
  • Automations are easy to set up, especially with the templates provided.
  • Forms are easy to set up and integrate.
  • I would love to be able to search images by keyword.
  • I'd like to be able to pull a complete engagement reports for all contacts.
  • Deleting contacts is only allowed on a campaign level. I'd like this to be easier to do on a higher level.
Active Campaign is perfect for someone like me. I always had someone to do this work for me but as the business changed and we became lean and mean, I had to learn everything myself and be able to use the tool quickly and efficiently. There's a lot of intuitive aspects of AC and that helps a lot. That said, someone with higher skills in this area can really leverage everything they have to offer. I am able to write, build, and blast very quickly and that's important to me.

I use ActiveCampaign for my online business because it is an easy tool for newsletters and automations. It is very easy to create segments from an email list and emails can be designed with ease. The reports about sent emails are informative and easy to understand. I can recommend ActiveCampaign as an easy-to-use service for newsletters and automations.
  • Many options between templates
  • Pictures upload very fast and easy
  • Creating segments of email lists is very easy
  • Intuitive handling of tags in email list
  • A bit tricky to place pictures in emails without template
  • A bit difficult to edit email addresses in the list directly
ActiveCampaign is very well suited for businesses of any size. I changed from Mailchimp to ActiveCampaign and find it a lot easier to use. Mailchimp used to be a great tool but it has become overly complicated. ActiveCampaign on the other hand, does not require a long learning curve. All my clients use ActiveCampaign as well.

ActiveCampaign enables the marketing department in acquiring and retaining customers as well as ultimately engaging them while keeping tabs of the post-sales processes of the company. The department is able to utilize the great set of messaging and email features that are readily available within this web-based platform. The CRM built-in functionalities enable teams to create special marketing workflows and automate follow-up sequences for all our contacts.
  • Tracking the customer behavior across multiple marketing channels
  • Adapting and aligning our marketing strategies to the interests of the customer
  • Keeping records of our customer history in a single database
  • A drip functionality can help avoid spam filters especially when sending campaigns to an extremely large list.
  • A blank image box may appear below the image when I use the drag and drop option to add an image
ActiveCampaign is used to send out mass newsletters and email campaigns to contacts at a designated time and date. With ActiveCampaign we can create campaign workflow that is tailored to specific objectives of our marketing outreach and a sequence of emails that are put on schedule to be sent out on specific times. Tracking of the contacts is most important in analyzing how these contacts interact with our products therefore segmenting them depending on their different interests and geographical locations.

ActiveCampaign is the central hub for all of our marketing and customer management functions.

As a company that develops & markets digital information products, email is our primary means of customer communication and the central component for all marketing activities. ActiveCampaign enables us to rapidly automate our lead generation and marketing funnels, and customer & prospect segmentation, easier and with greater capability than our previous solution.
  • Easy, quick, hassle-free import of our lists from our previous email management company.
  • Excellent integration to virtually all of our marketing channels and apps.
  • Rapid development & rollout of marketing funnel automations.
  • Training and support that we aspire to - and I used to consider ours to be the Gold Standard that others should aspire to!
  • The interface is a little counter-intuitive with some features hard to find.
  • Lists & segments are a little kludgey setup-wise.
  • Reporting is also a little counter-intuitive.
Since our client base is 100% online businesses and entrepreneurs, we're in a position to offer recommendations often; I currently recommend ActiveCampaign most of the time.

I have a small business - I am the owner and operator of the business. I use [ActiveCampaign] to manage clients, automate sales and generally make life easier!
  • Integration - ActiveCampaign easily integrates into many other software solutions. It is a simple process to make it happen.
  • Automation - ActiveCampaign has easy to use templates to help automate your business, or you can custom build them for yourself.
  • Dashboard - Most of the information I need is available at a glance on the home screen.
  • ActiveCampaign for my purposes is not a standalone software. It needs to linking to other solutions
  • ActiveCampaign is not the cheapest email management software

I use ActiveCampaign for all my email marketing. I also have used it to create sign-up forms for lead magnets as well as sales funnels. It allows me to stay connected and ensures that no matter what happens on my social media platforms, I own my list and therefore can still connect with my people.
  • Sign-up forms
  • Lists to organize your audience
  • Funnels
  • The automations can be hard and time consuming to set up
As a solopreneur, I really appreciate the ability to create and schedule campaigns to go out, as well as crafting automations so my audience is being nurtured even when I'm busy with other things. ActiveCampaign is an essential tool in our marketing and sales department. We are able to gain valuable insight into how our campaigns perform and how we can better connect to our clients.
  • The automation builder is a huge timesaver. I am able to automate many tasks such as alerts to sales which keeps the marketing team and sales team all on the same page.
  • The campaign builder is easy to use and makes beautiful emails that are consistently rendered correctly across multiple email service providers. The drag and drop functionality really makes creating emails a breeze.
  • The reports I can generate from campaigns are detailed and have everything I need to analyze and adjust for future campaigns. The reports can also get very detailed based on what information needs to be reviewed.
  • The CRM has some limitations, that make it difficult to use. We use another CRM in addition to ActiveCampaign so it isn't a huge deal for us but it is a sticking point for some. For example, users don't have the ability to assign more than one email address to a contact which makes organizing communication a bit of a stress.
  • Some bugs pop up here and there in the email builder like the undo button not functioning properly or text boxes/images not being placed where they should be but these are minor inconveniences in the scheme of things.
