- Lots of resources available to properly set up any tool they have
- Some more tools could be added directed at physical product businesses such as specific templates used after an order has been delivered to the customer's house. So adding an automation when it's been "delivered" on Shopify.

- The UI (which is great) can tend to get bugged and not allow scrolling which can simply be fixed by refreshing the browser
- A bit more workflow/how-to videos on their help pages would be fantastic.
It's got a pretty great feature for custom labels where you can also track the time and method of how they got into your list, which allows you to be able to follow up with clients who've not been involved in specific campaigns. The automation tool is great.

- I'd prefer more integrations on the starter level of subscription.
If a client is looking for a very simple system for email deliverability without the need to integrate with other systems and/or to know more than very surface-level metrics, I'd consider ActiveCampaign but wouldn't necessarily recommend it since the smallest level of subscription is more than some competitors who offer basic email marketing features for low-cost or free. If you're serious about funnels, integrations, and/or constituent metrics, this may be for you!

- Perfect tool for the full customer cycle - acquire new leads, drip campaigns, sales
- ActiveCampaign has some great design elements but would like to see more. The available fonts are limited, email styling is limited.
- Text Message integration. AC does have some but would be good to be able to do more with it.
ActiveCampaign: Recommended, Useful, and Straightforward
- It allows me to maintain multiple audience lists with as many tags as I need for segmentation.
- It's got a comprehensive editor for the emails with lots of pre-fab templates.
- The automation system is both powerful and relatively easy to figure out and use, and the open-tracking and reporting is useful.
- The learning curve can be challenging, especially if you haven't previously used an email list manager or CRM system.
- There are many concepts and a set of vocabulary to master before the entirety of the system's benefits and usefulness become evident.
- Pages can be slow to reload after changes. It's hard for me to know whether the cause is server capacity or local processing capability on my system.

- Setting up the flow of the automations, I would like to see that made easier to reduce contacts getting stuck in the automations.
- Sometimes uploading images is a little difficult because although it's in the correct format for some reason the system does not acknowledge it and will not upload
- It would be great if I could "undo" the most recent action instead of a chunk of information.
I use it primarily for creating email campaigns, pages, forms, and automations.
I find it a bit of a struggle getting the "perfect" automation for when I have an event and people are joining at different times.
We haven't had the need to use it as we have a medical software outside of Active Campaign that manages our customers as we are a private clinic - but I have had experience with the CRM aspect of Active Campaign and it's brilliant! It makes managing your customers and keeping track of their activity really simple. I also rely on ActiveCampaign to report on the success of my email marketing campaigns too - which it does a great job of!

The best all-round email marketing and CRM app
- Managing contacts and recording our interactions with them
- Sending regular emails to our mailing list to stay in touch with them and provide educational content
- For automations as part of products and services we sell (onboarding and course delivery)
- The email builder has a lot of customization options when compared with other email marketing apps.
- The automation builder is incredibly powerful, particularly when combined with contact tagging. With 'tag added' and 'tag removed' as triggers for automations, there's huge scope for building automation.
- Forms and landing pages are very useful, especially for list building.
- My biggest frustration is with the email campaign reports. The UI appears to almost be from a different, much older app entirely. The data I can see about campaigns at a glance is very limited compared to other email marketing apps.
- More flexibility with Zapier would be a real improvement.
- The campaign creation process, although mostly excellent, feels a little clunky at times. For example, when choosing a segment to send to (that includes all contacts with a specific tag) I can't see who is in that segment without a number of additional clicks.

It does however lack the functionality I would expect using custom fields - this could be improved.
The best tool for customer journey automation
ActiveCampaign has a great support and development team, able to assist you effectively, also in your language (Portuguese for us).
We also implement sales funnels for our clients and ActiveCampaign is the perfect all-in-one tool.

If your approach to email marketing is a simple one, just building a mailing list and sending some emails every now and then, maybe ActiveCampaign would be a bit of an overkill, or put in another way, a waste of cool functions :P
