Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

I used to use MailerLite before and it has a lot less functionality and a lot less support than what I receive via ActiveCampaign. It felt more clunky and more difficult to use. ActiveCampaign is more intuitive and easier to learn and provides a wealth of features.

I don't like MailerLite and Flodesk because they only offer segments, no tags. I like to add many tags to my contacts depending on the products they purchase, and this gets too cluttered when there's only segments. They also don't have clear insights on the home page of people who recently (un)subscribed or clicked on links.

I used to use the free version of Mailchimp, but it did not allow me to construct automated email marketing campaigns the way I wanted to do it. So I decided to migrate all my list to ActiveCampaign. The migration process was easy enough. I am happy I did it.

I selected ActiveCampaign because many in the communities I was interacting with recommended it. It is also the software many of the platforms I interact with users and integrate directly via API.

The cost to get started is relatively low for access to automation and tagging systems.

Comparisons:

Mailchimp gives 2,000 subscribers free (back when I started my account) and have basic automations but didn't have the tagging system. Therefore, I didn't know which person but through my funnel and what product did they buy. Mailchimp's email builder is fairly simple but I didn't like how the emails looked on the email reader. It's like they try to be "fancy" without needing to.

MailerLite I enjoy it a lot. Simple and intuitive to use. Good speed and gives automation access on the free plan with a limit of 1,000 subscribers. I would use it if it wasn't for the lack of direct integration with ClickFunnels and other programs I use.

AWeber I have used with clients and I didn't like the silo approach they take to list building, forms and tags. It seems organized to think of each list as its own platform. I think it makes it look more complex that what it is. While they have tags and it integrates with common digital marketing platforms, tags appear to be a secondary thought and not intended to be used robustly.

sendgrid is more for sending emails at a cheap cost that then added other email marketing features. It seemed incomplete for what I was trying to do.

ActiveCampaign won mainly due to cost and integration at this time.

ActiveCampaign is streaks ahead of Mailchimp on capabilities. But its user experience lags. I chose AS because of its sophisticated automation capabilities. I don't think I can think of anything I could want to do with email automation, that AC would not be able to handle. But, editing emails in AC is not a lot of fun. The old editor has very buggy undo that has meant I have lost work several times over the last 7 years. The new editor seems solid, but cannot save a color palette - which is a part of my workflow.

ActiveCampaign focuses much more on automation and email marketing. It also has highly advanced customization in both marketing campaigns and contacts, allowing them to tag and send content based on the interaction that the contact has had. ActiveCampaign offers custom email, segmentation, and automation options to fit the needs of my business and the needs of my clients.

Active campaign was chosen for our team due to its ability to give us the landing pages and automations at a base level price without having to get add ons or make our subscription price out of this world. Also, the customer service was better and the discount on our yearly bill was great.

I transitioned from Mailchimp to ActiveCampaign because it was so much more user friendly and allowed me to do a lot more in regards to lead magnets than Mailchimp can. For example, ActiveCampaign allows users to sign up for a lead magnet as many times as they like to keep receiving it (in case they've lost or deleted the email with access to the lead magnet). Mailchimp was unable to do this. And the categorization of users and the trigger email sequencing was a lot easier in ActiveCampaign.

ActiveCampaign allows more integrations, automated emails, and a better user experience. I have also tested FloDesk (which was not listed on the product drop-down) and though the original templates were better by design, it did not allow me to customize as much or create as robust automations as ActiveCampaign does.

I moved to ActiveCampaign from Mailchimp. Admittedly, I was using the free version of Mailchimp, but I had numerous episodes of subscriber data NOT being added to Mailchimp, despite using API to integrate with my mailing list. Obviously, I couldn't pay for clicks and not capture subscriber data, so I had to find something else. ActiveCampaign has been 100% reliable in testing.

ActiveCampaign is good for a small sized company like us with the right pricing unlike some of the others where you need to buy an Annual plan. It also has all the basic features which we needed. It is great for a Marketing team but might not be up to the mark for Sales team which needs it for cold emailing instead of engagement

Activecampaign is far more powerful than Mailchimp, with lots of functionality and great engagement tracking. While it is a bit more expensive than Mailchimp, it is perfect for a small or medium business looking to have a professional CMS and CRM without the high costs of Hubspot or Salesforce. Basically, it's a lot of bang for your buck.

Keap is more expensive. Used it for a bit and then went off it because of price. AWeber is great - for affiliate marketing and more, as is mailer lite. Good for beginners and simple needs when it comes to lower-ticket offers and just the need for an email marketing software. I wasn't too happy with Mailchimp when I tried it, and I also didn't like to be associated with an ape (lol) - (for the free version you can't turn the branding off)

We used Mailchimp before, and it was a simple tool but not great if you want more advanced features. ActiveCampaign allowed us to have access to more advanced features and dive into detailed reporting. We also got access to design tools that allowed us to create more dynamic and engaging emails overall for our audience.

Mailchimp and Constant Contact are more user-friendly and have better customer support. Not that ActiveCampaign's support is bad, they just do not seem to have enough people to cover it all. ActiveCampaign is more robust.

ActiveCampaign is perfect for mid to small sized businesses. It's well-rounded and has enough channels to aid a growing business' growth. While it is less powerful than Iterable, I have found it better suited to HubSpot or Mailchimp due to its strong automation functions
