We use Adobe Acrobat DC for resume review and edits. It is also effective in editing documents sent to us by new hires and current employees.
  • Adding, deleting pages from documents
  • Digital signatures on documents for applicants/new hires
  • Editing resumes, government documents, and other important paperwork
Cons
  • Identifying font when scanning text
  • Having the ability to fill in information after a document has been signed
  • Matching fonts after being converted over from Microsoft Word.
The functionality of Adobe Acrobat DC is great. Moving text from page to page could be a bit easier, but other than that, it's easy to edit. You can easily add or delete pages, and signing documents is also a breeze.

Helpful, easy to use software!

I use Adobe Acrobat DC in my particular department in order to edit PDF documents mostly.
  • Easily able to add or edit text, footers, and headers.
  • Extremely user-friendly.
Cons
  • I cannot think of any missing functionalities at this time - for the functions I use it for, it works every time.
Well suited for most businesses and office environments, schools, etc.

We use Adobe Acrobat DC to create job descriptions and make edits to resumes, we create internal documents for our team to use during training, continuous training, or template use. We also use Adobe Acrobat DC to send contracts, or sometimes we have to edit offer letters to create a signature section, and Adobe Acrobat DC allows us to do all of that.
  • It's extremely user friendly
  • Simple interface- there aren't too many buttons, which makes it easy to approach and learn how to use the application
  • Multi-use- there are a lot of functions you can use within Adobe Acrobat DC, including editing, combining files, updating documents, PDFs, etc.
Cons
  • Limited fonts- sometimes when I'm looking to add a word here or there, I can't match the font
  • Formatting- sometimes when you add a space or two it ends up altering the format of the entire document, and it can be very touchy
Adobe Acrobat DC is really helpful when making small edits to resumes. Sometimes the formatting gets a little funky, but it usually is pretty easy to move things around. I also love using Adobe Acrobat DC for combining files. I often will have to combine 2-10 documents, and Adobe makes it incredibly easy. You can choose which document goes where, and it's very easy to rotate any documents that hadn't been converted correctly. When I have to edit longer documents with a lot of text, I don't tend to go to Adobe Acrobat DC to make those edits. It often messes up the formatting, so I choose to make those edits in Word before converting it back to a pdf in Adobe.

Easy to use and incredibly helpful

I utilize Adobe Acrobat DC quite often throughout the day for student transcripts, schedules, and other important documents related to supporting students. Easily accessible and always reliable, this program provides an excellent and consistent platform for me to execute the daily responsibilities I have to ensure students and their parents are supported with helpful information.
  • Easily accessible
  • Always reliable
  • Simple to understand
Cons
  • Making documents more easily editable (if needed)
  • Changing from PDF to Word
  • Changing from Excel to PDF (if possible)
For my role in education, this program works incredibly well. When I download a PDF document, it's easily accessible in seconds thanks to how Adobe Acrobat DC operates, which leads to increased productivity and far fewer headaches as a result of complicated downloads or a "clunky" program.

Amazing product, SO easy to use!!

I work for a commercial construction company and we use Adobe Acrobat for multiple purposes. We use it to read blueprints mostly. We can send our and receive quotes, drawings, and documents. The Adobe Acrobat pro version is used to sign contracts as well as to modify and edit blueprints.
  • Edting
  • overlay and signing
  • send and receive files that can not be edited by others
Cons
  • some files do not always save in a correct format from Microsoft word
  • some files do not always save in a correct format from Microsoft excel
  • I do not have any complaints with Adobe. I LOVE IT
Adobe Acrobat is specifically used by me in a work setting. Being in commercial construction, the ability to send and receive files quickly, and safely is ideal. I typically send out roughly 15-25 files per day and receive roughly the same. It is well suited in a professional work environment.
