Adobe Flash - Was fun while it lasted

We attempted to build a new website from the ground up and decided Flash was the best software to start with. There was a learning curve to address, and a coding language to learn, but since Flash is so widely used there are tons of videos and resources to hold your hand as you build up your portfolio.
  • The scalability of what Flash can do makes it so useful. You can do something simple like make a ball bounce on screen over some letters before showing your logo, or something more complex such as developing an animated short to display.
  • Using Flash videos on websites is very commonplace, so people are used to seeing it and have the necessary plugins installed already.
  • The files are very small, and the compression is very smooth. This helps if you are trying to send content to mobile devices or simply keep your website footprint small to ensure fast loading times.
Cons
  • It's being replaced in 2020 so it most likely is not worth learning for anyone who hasn't used it before. Apple devices don't play nice with Flash videos either, and that's a large user base.
  • Its battery consumption for mobile devices is poor, and probably won't be addressed due to HTML5 replacing it in a year
  • One of our original reasons for using Flash was for animation, but Toon Boom (a competitor) is really better set up for that task. With built-in mouth synch capabilities, it does a lot of the busywork for you, that Flash made you do yourself.
Well suited for the past, not well suited for the future. With fewer and fewer platforms that accept Flash, and a hard deadline of no more support from Adobe in 2020, it's a dinosaur - was very cool and ruled the world in its day, but doomed to extinction. Still, you can still recognize some cartoons and videos as being made by Flash just by their look, and that's impressive brand recognition.

We endeavored to develop another site from the beginning concluded Adobe Animate was the best programming, to begin with. There was an expectation to absorb information to address, and a coding language to learn, yet since Adobe Animate is so broadly utilized there are huge loads of recordings and assets to hold your hand as you develop your portfolio.
  • The adaptability of what Adobe Animate can do makes it so helpful. You can accomplish something basic like make a ball bob on-screen over certain letters prior to showing your logo, or something more mind-boggling like building up a vivified short to show.
  • Utilizing Adobe Animate recordings on sites is typical, so individuals are accustomed to seeing it and have the essential modules introduced as of now.
  • The records are little, and the pressure is extremely smooth. This aids in the event that you are attempting to send substance to cell phones or essentially keep your site impression little to guarantee quick stacking times.
Cons
  • It's being supplanted in 2020 so it no doubt does not merit learning for any individual who hasn't utilized it previously. Apple gadgets don't get along with Adobe Animate recordings either, and that is an enormous client base.
  • Its battery utilization for cell phones is poor, and likely will not be tended to because of HTML5 supplanting it in a year
  • One of our unique purposes behind utilizing Adobe Animate was for liveliness, yet Toon Boom (a contender) is truly better set up for that task. With worked in mouth synchronize capacities, it does a great deal of the busy work for you, that Flash caused you to do yourself.
I found everything is simple and clear.

Flash was a great animation tool, a refusal to change left it as a relic of the past

It's used primarily as a tool for making ad banners if the kilobyte count is fairly high, otherwise it's used on computers where we don't have a license of ToonBoom Harmony for animation. Harmony is an expensive program and most of the computers here have a license for Adobe Creative Suite so Flash/Animate are fine programs in a pinch but ideally we want something with nicer drawing tools. Usually we get the rough drawings and timing figured out in Flash and then do animation clean-up within Photoshop's timeline tools if Harmony is not available.
  • Easy to learn and get started in.
  • Versatile, it plays nicely between all the programs in the Adobe Suite.
  • A safe environment to learn how to program a game.
Cons
  • Drawing tools!! The lines in the brush just look pretty ugly. It would be nice if there was a way to choose between optimizing Flash for online export and to use for video pieces.
  • Program can be unstable and can slow down if you aren't mindful of how you are using it.
  • Many glitches in the program are still present ever since I first started using it nearly 10 years ago.
It's good if you are just starting out, it's easy to learn and the online community and resources around Flash are strong. I was able to get started animating in high school thanks to communities like Newgrounds. Unfortunately when it comes to more advanced options or professional projects, this is where Flash starts to fall apart. The program needs to break free from its early routes as a tool for web applications and either become a strong hand drawn animation tool or become the definitive environment for CreateJS banners.

we use Adobe Animate for our animation process on various projects including videos for Youtube and Explainer animations. it is mostly used in case of animations with less frame rates and more authentic touch. it is also used widely for animating characters. Adobe Animate brings a powerful tools to animate anything in 2D. its a classic animation software for our company.
  • it makes 2d animation a lot better than any other programs.
  • it is loaded with a lots of features enabling the creative freedom for animators.
  • rigging is very seamless process while doing in Adobe Animate
  • it brings the feel of classic handrawn 2d animations that we all love.
Cons
  • First thing is it takes a lot of time to learn Adobe Animate.
  • Limited camera options unlike Adobe After Effects.
  • the user interface is difficult for beginners to work.
  • it takes a lot of time to work. the result will be shocking but you got to spend a lot of time working on animations frame by frame.
I like Adobe Animate because it is the classic animation software for hand drawn animations and it brings a special authentic feel for creativity like we see in popular short films made in 2d. the animation process is difficult to lean but once you know it you will be the master of creating animation and one should always learn the classic in order to set their command in 2d animation industry. so Adobe Animate is the soul of 2d animation.

Our company sometimes have request to do some video clips, however some of them can't be done in Adobe Premiere Pro, that's the reason why I use Adobe Animate from time to time. It's very straight-forward and easy to use, as long as you have the experience of using Adobe AI or PS, you can get through it pretty fast.
  • Similar UI with Adobe PR, easy to use
  • clear functions
  • fast export
Cons
  • more tween would be better
  • more pre-set motions
  • hard to find the layer panel
As I have mentioned above, our company sometimes have some simple requests to do the animation in our clips, Adobe Animate is pretty easy to use, based on our request level. And it also very easy to export and share, it matches our request perfectly. I will recommend it to my colleagues.
