We were willing to use Adobe Captivate for training our field service support staff. It is mainly used by my training department and dispatch to partners around the world. We are also using this platform to do integrations with our new employees.
  • Manage a team skills matrix
  • Create onboarding plan
  • Integration of SCORM files directly from adobe captivate
  • Adobe sales did not answer on time for final purchase
  • Captivate prime does not include a pricing plan for small company or at least Adobe does not seem interested in small numbers of users
  • Integration of ticketing system like Zendesk would be a great feature
I liked the credit system and ability to marks trainee's skills based on modules. I liked the well-done GUI and the easy transfer of SCORM module from adobe captivate (authoring tool) to Adobe Captivate Prime (the LMS). Unfortunately, I will not recommend this LMS as the France sales team did not provide me a quote or good services. After several attempts to get a price, I had to move on to another platform.

Good to use trial version but impossible to go further
Good integration into company dashboards
Honestly it was a poor experience.
We are not using Adobe Learning Manager anymore

We are editing our learning module with Adobe Captivate prime. Being new on this field, our main goal was to be able to deploy easily our learning module, the combination of Adobe Captivate 2019 and Adobe Captivate Prime was ideal !
Unfortunately, the sales aspect did completely wrong to finalize our purchase then we learn that learning module use SCORM standard which make all module compatible with otherm platforms
I will try to learn more about the standard before moving forward. I lose precious time with captivate prime, I should have informed myself prior to purchase

Change management was minimal
We launch our first elearning system in 2020. It was the first implementation for the company so I don't think we can talk about change management.
However, I did not try to use the platform for instructor led training, which is still a big part of our training process. I did not see a particular attention to this matter on the platform so I guess, it is not well mentioned, and it might be missing as well.
I would say that the main change management that we faced was to organize all the ILD training with the platform, and Adobe Captivate did not answer to our need.
  • Instructor Led Training organization
  • Transfer of SCORM files from authoring software to LMS
  • Creation of user profil into the platform (learner, instructor, manager)
Trial period was great, and It let me plenty of time to try the different feature of the platform. However, when we decided to move forward, the ADOBE team was slow and not reactive at all. Actually after 2 years, I am still waiting for answers which is quite unacceptable.
Not able to even do a purchase of any support
No
This platform is mainly focused on big companies/structure.
If you are willing to buy a LMS for a small company, I will not recommend Adobe Captivate Prime.
However, if you are a large player, I think that is a nice platform
  • The skills system is well done
  • creation of profil
Yes, but I don't use it

We are using Adobe Captivate Prime to house our training collateral. Currently Adobe Captivate Prime is being used internally by one department, but we have plans to open it up to other departments. Our training department is relatively new, about 3 years old, and we realized that we need some way of housing our training content and recording attendance. After reviewing a number of LMS systems, and talking to three companies, we decided on Adobe Captivate Prime, we felt it best fit our needs. We were already using Adobe Captivate to create courses, so it worked to use Captivate Prime for the LMS. We also use Adobe Connect to deliver our trainings, our company is remote, so all training is delivered remotely. Currently our plan is to use Adobe Captivate Prime for internal employees only, down the road, we may decide to open it up to customers. At this point, we've been using it for almost one year, and are starting to add even more content to our site.
  • Works well with Adobe Captivate.
  • Easy to set up a course, and update as needed.
  • Allows us to use content in more than one course, I like that we are building our content library.
  • We have spent time trying to create Learning Plans and Learning Programs. I know they will work, took us time to work on that though.
  • Would like an easier way to have courses reviewed, or if there is, an easier way to get others to review courses.
  • Would be nice if you can create a quiz inside of Captivate Prime. Currently we use Captivate or SurveyMonkey for our quizzes.
I think this is a pretty easy system to learn on your own, however there are some things that you do need some guidance on, like setting up Learning Programs and Plans. It is very easy to reorganize a course and republish. I do like how well it works with Adobe Captivate and Adobe Connect, that has been quite helpful to us.

  • We're fairly new, but have already found it good to have everything in one place.
  • We've started to be more organized in training our staff, especially new staff.
  • We are beginning to keep records of who took training and sharing it with HR.
We haven't worked directly with a Customer Success Manager during our implementation. However, the sales person we worked with was very helpful during the purchasing process, the communications we got after purchasing were all very good and helpful. We were able to set everything up very easily and quickly based on the communications.
We liked that Captivate prime worked well with Captivate and Connect. We wanted something that would grow with us. After demos and testing three systems, we really liked how Adobe Captivate built courses and created the Learning Portal. It was also important for us that the system was SCORM compliant, and Captivate prime is.

We have trainers, developers, operations, and Human Resources using Adobe Captivate prime at this time. Our trainers and developers are the people creating and facilitating courses. The Operations staff are those who do our work, third party payer solutions. Our HR staff is begining to use Adobe Captivate Prime for onboarding of new staff. We are relatively new to Captivate Prime and are in the process of growing our site.
2
Knowledge of Adobe Captivate Prime, knowledge of Adobe Captivate and other software used to create documents, presentations, etc. Our staff that support Captivate Prime are more technical than our trainers, have some graphic knowledge (for course design), and knowledge of our work to help build and organize our training collateral. We require staff to be self starters and able to think fast.
  • New hire onboarding
  • Training current staff on our system
  • Soft Skill training for staff
  • Share a set of videos to staff
  • Track staff and assign training as needed
We are still building our site, but feel that after putting in all this effort, we need to use it more, so we will renew. We are continuing to learn all the time, and adding more features and courses to our site. We eventually want to have all training, including facilitator led, in the LMS.

We wanted to use Adobe Captivate, Adobe Captivate Prime and Adobe Connect. We like having the Adobe suite of products.
I may have also looked at other content creation software, like storyboard. We had a list of specs we wanted in an LMS, and Adobe Captivate fit that list very well.
  • Implemented in-house
No
Change management was a minor issue with the implementation
Since we didn't move from another LMS, we didn't have much change. The issue we have is getting staff used to using the LMS.
  • Getting users added
Not really.
We did not, our CEO at the time only wanted to purchase a 1 year subscription, which did not come with support.
No
I haven't had much, I sent a question once, and it was responded to very quickly.
  • Adding a course
  • Updating a course
  • Quiz results aren't always updated
Yes, but I don't use it
I think it's pretty easy to use. It would be nice if we could edit the look and feel a little more, maybe change how the learners home page looks when they log in.

Adobe Captive Prime is used by researchers and web developers in my particular company to increase productivity and offer new training pathways for employees. This program is mostly used for internal training. For the most part, this program is used only in specific areas of the company- primarily for systems support and IT.
  • I appreciated the Amazon infrastructure scalability that is associated with the program.
  • The programs easy-to-use single webpage layout makes creating courses easy and efficient.
  • I loved the fact that there were both online and offline platforms. This made employee certification process unique to the student.
  • There is the occasional device compatibility issue.
  • Difficult to monitor progress of employees in a course when there is a significant number of employees
  • Overall employee management tracking could be improved— do not want to download excel spreadsheets to track employees (why not integrate spreadsheet software into the system?)
I feel this product is well suited when a company needs to develop certifications and training modules for employees in a timely and effective manner. Overall, this product offers a wide variety of tools but the integrated management of employee tracking could be significantly improved. This way, third party apps would not be necessary.

  • Increased productivity in employee certification
  • Increased convenience for systems administrators to create and upload company wide content.
  • Decreased employee complaints about the company’s learning management software.
Unfortunately, I did not have any experiences with a Customer Success Manager at Adobe; I often had other colleagues interact with them. From what I have heard, their experience with the Support Manager was nothing but exceptional. They were often clear and concise with answers to our questions and offered constant support.
I believe that Adobe was much more complicated in the integrate of our employees’ information. However, the easy-to-use architecture made this program unique in that we could offer more content and create more courses for our employees than the other learning management systems. This is where I believe Adobe Captivate Prime separates itself from the competition.

Currently, our company uses this program and another competitor for our learning management software. We like the adaptability of this program and appreciate the customer service that Adobe provides, however the other program is starting to turn out to be a better value for our company as they improve their compatibility.

  • Product Usability
The most important factor in our decision to use Adobe was the it provides a great value for a product with multiple uses within our company. We love that this product can impact many different teams within our organization and we appreciate how we can each use the product independently.

Change management was a small part of the implementation and was well-handled
Our company did a great job of adapting our existing software to the Adobe Captivate Prime learning management software. The changes were small during our implementation and we had the people and the skills necessary to handle any problems with ease.
  • Training users how to use the product
  • In-house communication errors between executive members and implementers
  • Small implementation discrepancies between implementers
Unfortunately, I was not a part of the implementation of Adobe Captivate Prime learning management software in our company, but I was present after its implementation. From what others tell me, the implementation of the product was fine and there were only a few issues that primarily focused on internal communication errors about what we would use the product for.
  • no training
The product was extremely difficult to learn without formal training. I wish I would have had training like my colleagues in my department, but once I gained more knowledge and experience, the program was easy to use.
Adobe Captivate Prime is extremely configurable. Our team was able to configure this learning management program fairly easily and we were able to see the results quickly. Overall, I was please with the configurability of this software.

Adobe Captive Prime support is fantastic. The support staff are extremely knowledgeable and they understand the issues that can arise with the product. Additionally, there are other users that we were able to connect with to collaborate on common issues with the product. Absolutely loved the support!
  • Creating the personalized eLearning
  • External integration with other applications
  • Generating reports from the users of the software is extremely fast and easy
  • Initial learning how to interact with the interface
  • There are quite a few functionalities in the program to learn
  • Tracking and Reporting within is a little difficult to understand initially
Yes, but I don't use it
Adobe Captivate Prime's overall usability is fantastic. There are a variety of features and user adaptations that can be added to mold this learning management software to your specific needs. I appreciated how multiple people could use this software to develop our learning management package within our company.
The product's overall scalability and flexibility is extremely good. I wish that the other products our company uses were this flexible! The product is easy to deploy across multiple departments and teams as needed.
The availability of Adobe Captivate Prime learning management software was second to none. The program was always working and running smoothly for me when I needed it. Errors and unplanned outages were few and far between.
The performance of Adobe Captivate Prime is also extremely good. The user interface is fast and easy to load. The complexity is not nearly as bad as some of the other programs on the market. Speed was not impacted.
  • Leadership Development Program
  • Company eLearning
We were able to implement this learning management system into our leadership development program. Overall, this software was extremely compatible with the material taught and this software provided a great resource for our users. Similar to the leadership development program, this software was also integrated into our company-wide eLearning initiative. This also went smoothly

We use Adobe Captivate Prime across our organisation. It helps with our blended learning and delivers internal employee training to our customer service and operational agents. We use it in conjunction with Adobe Captivate and find it a great tool for linking with our eLearning solutions. We also use it for the reporting suite that enables us to drive our in-house learning Academy.
  • Unlimited data storage is really good for us as we have so many technical and soft skill courses and programmes.
  • It shows us who has completed courses or enrolled in courses so we can track the journey of our agents and plan ahead the development of our agents, the reports are really useful over 250.
  • User access is really good from administrator or Author to Admin, the roles created for users is simple to set up and easy to understand.
  • Sometimes completing a programme can be a little complicated.
  • You can't import Word files directly.
This is a great product for us in our call centre where we are building a learning academy for agents to progress and develop.
