Adobe Illustrator

Illustrator is suitable for batch output of images of multiple sizes or when you want to use advanced features such as AI. For example, we recommend it for creating icons for applications or banner images. Since it specializes in vector image editing, it is not suitable for processing photos. Also, the subscription is expensive, so we recommend other software if you want to use it for free.

Illustrator is obviously well suited for any agency as its offer very good result for advert or promotional campaigns. But for older PCs it can be a pain to start and use it. It might crash or hang in the middle.

I think Illustrator is the best vector software on the market today, whenever I need to work with this type of format I choose it. It's pretty versatile too, I can connect and export files to be used in other software, and it exports those files cleanly. Despite having a huge amount of tools inside it, it is not a difficult software to use, you can already do a lot with just the basics, but knowing some advanced techniques you can save a lot of time in projects. Just don't try to do miracles with photos inside it, it wasn't made for that and you will end up frustrated, use Photoshop instead.

Well suited: Single page, vector-based art. e.g. logo use cases, social media post images, etc. Although InDesign also has the ability to create vector-based art, Adobe Illustrator CC gives the user more control. Less appropriate: multi-page documents (e.g. reports, case studies, etc.), heavy photo-based needs (billboard, wall display) as the linked images bog the file down and make for a very large pdf when needing to share with clients.

I love the multiple artboards option and being able to export the artboards as separate files (pdf or jpeg) This is great when you are showing options. It might be difficult to do a large page count document in Adobe Illustrator CC- but that's why we have InDesign (also a great program)

Adobe Illustrator is the ideal software for working with vectors. It edits nodes well and has really advanced features in this area. Also, it is very good for working with text and images.

Not the ideal software for diagramming a large volume of text. In this case, the ideal indication is Adobe InDesign that has more tools for diagramming.

Illustrator is GREAT for graphic design applications. Creating great looking vector graphics is what it is made for! Brochures, posters, advertisements, logo design, T-shirts, custom typography - that sort of thing, Illustrator really shines!

It is NOT great for image editing (that would be Photoshop) or multipage layouts like books or magazines (that would be InDesign).

This program is absolutely jam-packed with amazing features. Whether you are an illustrator, designer, or other creative the sky is the limit with this program. You are able to quickly and easily load photographs, sketches, vectors into Adobe Illustrator CC and begin to manipulate. There is cross over into Ps so that it can be altered there and imported into Adobe Illustrator CC, which is seamless and awesome. One of my favourite features in Adobe Illustrator CC is the pattern creator that is legit fire. It saves a surface designer so much time and energy.

One project that we used Adobe illustrator for was the creation of a movie poster for the communications department. While this could have been done in any variety of programs, Adobe Illustrator was the best suited for the job. After the drawing and design was completed we moved the project over for final touch ups in Photoshop for a quick and easy finish.

Adobe has lots of things. If would say which Adobe is best.
1. Image tracing: It traces an image perfectly and gives you a vector image.
2. Union, subtraction, etc. tools. just select the shape and use the blend tool.
3. Pen tool is the most likable thing.
4. Layers and color pallet thing.

Adobe Illustrator is used to help make drawings look good but not make them. It is easy to add color or texture but it is hard to actually make the drawings in it. I would recommend using other software to make the lines for plans and sections and using Adobe Illustrator to make it look good.

For artistic designs, it’s very handy. For technical drawing or models where dimensions are critical, it’s helpful.

Adobe Illustrator is my go-to software for all my design-related projects. It is powerful, easy to use, and has many excellent features that I can't live without. The only thing I would say about their software is that it's not as versatile as other options out there in the market, which are more affordable and easier to work with.

Indicated and suitable for companies and agencies that work with the creation of materials for social media, digital graphics and printed materials. Suitable for any scenario and for those who want to produce high quality material without image pixelation. A scenario not very suitable would be the use without proper knowledge of the tool, it would be interesting to see the tutorials and guides available by Adobe

Adobe Illustrator is the industry standard for creating vector objects - especially logos, labels, and other mediums that need to be easily scalable. We also use the program for icons and creating images for our presentations. I would recommend Photoshop for more pixel based images, especially with blending, color corrections, and more web related material.

Well suited for creating and converting vector files. Also offers a lot of customizations for file editing, which can come in very hardy. For basic image editing or file designing, I would prefer Photoshop or InDesign. Illustrator has so many options that I try to avoid using it, simply because for my basic day-to-day tasks, there are simpler products to use.

Adobe illustrator is really great when I had to create graphics from scratch. It is not great when you were trying to do a piece that is going to go to the printer such as a mailer or a postcard. It's also not great for social media images unless you were using it to build assets that you're going to place an image at a later point in time.

Adobe Illustrator is one of the most essential tools in professional graphic design and creative production. Most applications these days benefit from having scalable vector graphics at least at the concept and creation stage. Even if a raster solution is called for, it is often better to begin with vector if you can. This lets you scale to other applications or future technology improvements.

Adobe Illustrator CC is great for graphic designers to create icons, illustrations, graphics, and fonts. Some designers use it primarily to design everything from posters, postcards, web graphics, etc, but I believe Illustrator is less suited for this, and InDesign should be used for those purposes. Illustrator is great for creating graphics that would get added [to] programs like InDesign.

I believe Adobe Illustrator CC is well suited for 90% of your graphics needs. You can create so many different things with this one app. It's great for art, graphics of all kinds, logo design, some layout work, social images, signs, and much more. It's pretty much a one-stop shop designer. While it's great for most design work, I do not recommend it for photo editing, I would use Photoshop and Lightroom for that. It's capable of layout design, but I would recommend InDesign if you are doing more layout work as it has way more features and is basically designed for layout work.

This would benefit huge corporations with many different graphic designers [due to] the compatibility of the files among different countries and regions, and the online collaboration features may also benefit projects which have huge scale and not to be done by a single user.

For a user that is a standalone designer, and the works will only ever be edited by himself, or there are many more users in the company that use different software, the advantage tends to reduce.
