When creating icons for use in a website under development, we were able to save a considerable amount of man-hours because we were able to create icons of multiple sizes in a single batch. Thanks to the shape-forming tool, which combines multiple shapes to create a new shape, we were able to create vector data of complex shapes.
  • batch output images of various sizes
  • Can create vector data by extracting contours of raster images
  • Data can be stored in the Cloud
  • Easy to use due to sophisticated User Interface
  • Every time an app is automatically updated, the pinned icon disappears from the Windows Start menu.
  • The font selection tool is difficult to select from a drop-down, as the display is too small.
  • High memory consumption and CPU utilization for screen rendering
Illustrator is suitable for batch output of images of multiple sizes or when you want to use advanced features such as AI. For example, we recommend it for creating icons for applications or banner images. Since it specializes in vector image editing, it is not suitable for processing photos. Also, the subscription is expensive, so we recommend other software if you want to use it for free.

As a content developer for business pitch meetings I have to customize decks to match clients branding. So my PowerPoint backgrounds are exclusively designed in Illustrator. Illustrator also help me to manage client logos better especially I use tracing function to recreate logos or icons as necessary for my presentation. Yes I can somewhat use PowerPoint to add elements to generate the background but I hate too many moving parts in my ppt.
  • Tracing is better
  • Its image management is better than Corel Draw
  • Better connectivity with Photoshop and other Adobe Products
  • Illustrators workflow is slow. Corel has some really fast shortcuts. Yes you can remap those but the warning message is scary that the shortcut key is already assigned. So I never changed any
  • Illustrator is still slow to load and run it should make the software more modular so that we can select which tools to load
  • Every time it launches a new version newly created files do not work on the older one without warnings. During saving a file you will get like 10 different version you can save for. Do it like office before 93-2000 or after 2000. I am a human and can't remember which feature offered when and save the file accordingly.
Illustrator is obviously well suited for any agency as its offer very good result for advert or promotional campaigns. But for older PCs it can be a pain to start and use it. It might crash or hang in the middle.

I use Illustrator in creating brands for my clients. I also like to use it to alter and/or vectors to be used in other software like Figma or Photoshop. It give me a huge freedom to create whatever I want, so I can create unique brands for my clients.
  • Vectoring
  • Exporting files
  • Connecting with other adobe softwares
  • A huge amount of tools to create an unique design
  • Performance, sometimes illustrator crashes or become slow
  • Bug correction
  • Give the same tools for Illustrator desktop and tablet
I think Illustrator is the best vector software on the market today, whenever I need to work with this type of format I choose it. It's pretty versatile too, I can connect and export files to be used in other software, and it exports those files cleanly. Despite having a huge amount of tools inside it, it is not a difficult software to use, you can already do a lot with just the basics, but knowing some advanced techniques you can save a lot of time in projects. Just don't try to do miracles with photos inside it, it wasn't made for that and you will end up frustrated, use Photoshop instead.

As a graphic designer, I use Adobe Illustrator CC on a literal daily basis. From logo design to social media post images to website wireframes, it is a required asset to create vector art and multiple artboard layouts for clients. While I also use other programs within the Creative Suite, Adobe Illustrator CC is indispensable and much preferred to other vector-based programs I've used in the past.
  • Vector art-based requests (e.g. logos and illustrations)
  • Multi-page artboard publications
  • Website wireframes
  • Integration with other Creative Suite programs - specifically the tool options and layout
  • Allow for increased customization of workspace options
  • Larger artboard area (a several-page wireframe layout is difficult to squeeze into the allowable artboard area)
Well suited: Single page, vector-based art. e.g. logo use cases, social media post images, etc. Although InDesign also has the ability to create vector-based art, Adobe Illustrator CC gives the user more control. Less appropriate: multi-page documents (e.g. reports, case studies, etc.), heavy photo-based needs (billboard, wall display) as the linked images bog the file down and make for a very large pdf when needing to share with clients.

Adobe Illustrator CC is so powerful. I've been using it for 30 years - since it came out on the market. I still learn new things every day. Currently, I use it to make mechanicals for packaging and for drawing (producing logos, art, etc.) In the food packaging part of my job, I like the flexibility of layers, being able to link art, create outlines of type, and create art (including graduations and special effects) This application has just gotten better and better over the years. What I also like is the library of tutorials if you don't know how to do something. Adobe Illustrator CC makes it quick and easy to learn. I originally used this program to design ads for yellow page directories - Remember those? (Some will) I can not recommend this more highly.
  • Layers
  • Special Effects
  • drawing, auto trace
  • I don't know
  • Can't really think of anything
  • I love this program
I love the multiple artboards option and being able to export the artboards as separate files (pdf or jpeg) This is great when you are showing options. It might be difficult to do a large page count document in Adobe Illustrator CC- but that's why we have InDesign (also a great program)

We are a communication and visual identity company. As such, Adobe tools are critical to our routine. We use Adobe Illustrator CC daily for illustration vectoring, ads and logos creation. It is only used by me, who is responsible for the design area of the company. Adobe Illustrator is the ideal software for working with vectors, edits nodes well and has really advanced features in this area. It is very good for working with text and images, which can be imported without making the file heavier.
  • Nodes editing
  • Image import
  • Text editing
  • Tools a little bit hard to find on the interface
  • Bugs on actualization
  • Some features of the nodes tool are a little bit hard to use
Adobe Illustrator is the ideal software for working with vectors. It edits nodes well and has really advanced features in this area. Also, it is very good for working with text and images.

Not the ideal software for diagramming a large volume of text. In this case, the ideal indication is Adobe InDesign that has more tools for diagramming.

Adobe Illustrator is THE industry standard for creating vector graphics and digital illustration. I use it extensively in my graphic design business to create many different kinds of graphics - event posters, custom typography, newspaper advertisements, T-shirt designs, etc. It is a VERY powerful and full-featured software tool for creative types. It integrates seamlessly with other Adobe products - Photoshop, InDesign, Aftereffects, etc.
  • Handles typography and creating custom type based designs very well.
  • Integrates seamlessly with other Adobe products.
  • Makes it easy to control and manage color (particularly for print purposes).
  • The user interface is a bit confusing and takes a bit to get used to.
  • Managing the "art boards" is kind of clunky compared to other Adobe products.
  • Other than that, I don't have any complaints or suggestions.
Illustrator is GREAT for graphic design applications. Creating great looking vector graphics is what it is made for! Brochures, posters, advertisements, logo design, T-shirts, custom typography - that sort of thing, Illustrator really shines!

It is NOT great for image editing (that would be Photoshop) or multipage layouts like books or magazines (that would be InDesign).

I use Adobe Illustrator CC as my primary design software. I always start my photographic based elements in Photoshop but always move over to Adobe Illustrator CC for any kind of copy, text, and illustrative vector work. I have used Adobe Illustrator CC personally for years as an Illustrator and as a Graphic Designer, it is by far my most prized software. It is constantly updating and becoming more and more user friendly.
  • Vector Illustration
  • Font, text, copy handling
  • Multiple Artboards
  • Easy to use tools
  • Helpful guides and how too
  • The interplay between Adobe products continues to improve
This program is absolutely jam-packed with amazing features. Whether you are an illustrator, designer, or other creative the sky is the limit with this program. You are able to quickly and easily load photographs, sketches, vectors into Adobe Illustrator CC and begin to manipulate. There is cross over into Ps so that it can be altered there and imported into Adobe Illustrator CC, which is seamless and awesome. One of my favourite features in Adobe Illustrator CC is the pattern creator that is legit fire. It saves a surface designer so much time and energy.

We have used Adobe Illustrator for a variety of projects such as Movie posters, class projects, marketing, and promotional materials. Creating artworks and putting together marketing plans has never been easier thanks to Adobe Illustrator. On a weekly basis at least 5-10 projects utilize adobe Illustrator at one point or another.
  • Art-boards
  • Drawing
  • Editing
  • More Convenient controls
  • Better connectivity with Photoshop
  • Additional workspaces
One project that we used Adobe illustrator for was the creation of a movie poster for the communications department. While this could have been done in any variety of programs, Adobe Illustrator was the best suited for the job. After the drawing and design was completed we moved the project over for final touch ups in Photoshop for a quick and easy finish.

Whenever we need to create a flyer, Illustration, Or vector image so we Use Adobe Illustrator. It gives us high-quality images. We use it for wireframing.
  • Its tracing process for a image. You can use pen tools and create whatever you want.
  • You can export you file in pdf, svg, png format.
  • Its gives you high quality vector images.
  • Its crashing problem. Frequently crash if you don't save your work it will be gone.
  • I don't understand how gradients tools work. its been so long everytime I stuck in it.
  • Everything is good in Adobe, just need to improve crashing problem.
Adobe has lots of things. If would say which Adobe is best.
1. Image tracing: It traces an image perfectly and gives you a vector image.
2. Union, subtraction, etc. tools. just select the shape and use the blend tool.
3. Pen tool is the most likable thing.
4. Layers and color pallet thing.

I use this software on a daily basis as an architect and it is a very useful tool that helps us a lot of design buildings and makes plans or sections. I use it almost every day to make drawings and layer other images to make my drawings look good for clients.
  • Exporting
  • Making good drawings.
  • Formatting
  • Takes time to learn.
  • Lags a bit.
  • Often crashes with big files.
Adobe Illustrator is used to help make drawings look good but not make them. It is easy to add color or texture but it is hard to actually make the drawings in it. I would recommend using other software to make the lines for plans and sections and using Adobe Illustrator to make it look good.

I am a 2D LaserCut designer. Adobe Illustrator CC gives me quick artistic tools in a blink.
  • Organize objects for cutting
  • Trace images
  • Create models in few clicks
  • May need some geometrical tools such as fillet, chamfer, trim .. etc in a more simple steps
  • DXF support needs some improvements
  • Text outlining for connected letters needs a better algorithm
For artistic designs, it’s very handy. For technical drawing or models where dimensions are critical, it’s helpful.

Absolutely loved using Adobe Illustrator as a designer at my company within our Marketing Department. It would 100% be my go to software to use and was used the most out of the entire Adobe Creative Suite. I would absolutely recommend to those who want to create vector based graphics or illustrations.
  • Vector Graphics
  • Typography
  • Iconography
  • Print Graphics
  • Limited working area
Some great examples that I've used Illustrator for have been:
  • Printed Graphics (Posters, Business Cards)
  • Providing graphics for websites (SVG files)
  • Creating iconography from scratch
  • Composing visual branding elements
  • Customizing typography
Scenarios where I've switched to other software have been:
  • Website prototypes
  • Image editing
  • Book layout and design
  • Animation

Our company uses Adobe Illustrator to make the most complicated design projects possible. With the help of this product, we have been able to reduce the time it takes to accomplish a task by 80%! Adobe Illustrator is an easy-to-use design tool that makes it possible to create complex illustrations. The program has a clean interface with various devices that allow me to create graphics without wasting time setting up layers quickly. I use Adobe Illustrator CC to create visualizations and professional presentations for sales briefs and proposals. I have also used it to create taglines.
  • If you are into graphic design, illustration, or illustration, you need to use Adobe Illustrator CC. It is the best software for vector graphics and professional photographs. I love using it because of the easy-to-use interface and features that I need in my work.
  • Adobe Illustrator is the best software in the market; it does what it promises. It has various tools and customizable options, making it easy to use. Its interface is sleek and user-friendly, which makes your workflow seamless.
  • I've been a user of Illustrator for a few years now and I am quite disappointed with the latest update. It has many glitches, some of which make it unuseable. This needs to be fixed so I can continue using this application.
  • When buying an app, the first thing to look for is if it's worth your time and money. Adobe Illustrator CC has much room for improvement in this sense, making it hard to use, missing features, and not being able to handle larger files. It offers something unique and valuable while also offering some features that make the user experience more pleasant.
Adobe Illustrator is my go-to software for all my design-related projects. It is powerful, easy to use, and has many excellent features that I can't live without. The only thing I would say about their software is that it's not as versatile as other options out there in the market, which are more affordable and easier to work with.

Within the organization, I produce all digital and printed graphic material. I use illustrator to work mainly with vectors, some illustrations, creating stamps and some visual identities, and all printed material. Due to its quality of tools and specific use for this type of material and art, I consider the illustrator to be a fundamental tool for the production of graphic materials with excellence that does not lose quality with zooming or printing.
  • Illustration
  • vectorization
  • printed materials
  • Distribution of memory disks
  • More affordable pricing
  • Problems with crashes
Indicated and suitable for companies and agencies that work with the creation of materials for social media, digital graphics and printed materials. Suitable for any scenario and for those who want to produce high quality material without image pixelation. A scenario not very suitable would be the use without proper knowledge of the tool, it would be interesting to see the tutorials and guides available by Adobe

The marketing department of our company uses the entire Adobe Suite, including Illustrator primarily for our product label designs, vector drawings of icons and backgrounds, and all of our logo designs. We often need to have our designs in vector so they are scalable for various printing formats - so this is ideal. Also, Illustrator is one of the most widely used platforms in the world, so it's easy to also work on projects with outside contractors because of the popularity of this program.
  • Vector drawing and scaling
  • Easy user interface
  • Tons of interface tools to work with
  • Ability to import and export in various formats, as well as importing into other Adobe programs
  • There are so many tools that it can be overwhelming to learn how to use all aspects of the program.
  • As the program is upgraded, sadly they eventually get too overwhelming for older video cards - forcing you to either upgrade or deal with the lag.
  • Very rarely the program will hang or even crash. I've never been able to pinpoint exactly why.
Adobe Illustrator is the industry standard for creating vector objects - especially logos, labels, and other mediums that need to be easily scalable. We also use the program for icons and creating images for our presentations. I would recommend Photoshop for more pixel based images, especially with blending, color corrections, and more web related material.

I use Illustrator to design vector files and logos usually. We use these files for signage, indoor and outdoor, and to ensure files do not lose resolution. It makes it much easier to order marketing materials and signage when we can send print-ready files to expedite processing and shipments. It also saves us in designs costs from vendors as well.
  • Lots of image customizations and options
  • Most formal designers will want vector files which you can create.
  • More advanced options that photoshop or indesign.
  • Can be difficult to learn
  • Could use more helpful tips and guides
  • More interactive guides
Well suited for creating and converting vector files. Also offers a lot of customizations for file editing, which can come in very hardy. For basic image editing or file designing, I would prefer Photoshop or InDesign. Illustrator has so many options that I try to avoid using it, simply because for my basic day-to-day tasks, there are simpler products to use.

Adobe Illustrator is something that I've been using for years and it's something that I don't think I can get along without. I use it for the graphic design phase of most projects and I also teach my students how to use this as marketing majors. The powers of Adobe Illustrator are amazing and I'm able to manipulate and create graphics with ease.
  • Image creation.
  • Outlining and creating vector images.
  • Logo design.
  • It's really hard to figure out how do use without some training.
  • Even though I use it on a daily basis I still have things to learn.
  • It's not as user-friendly as I would like it to be.
Adobe illustrator is really great when I had to create graphics from scratch. It is not great when you were trying to do a piece that is going to go to the printer such as a mailer or a postcard. It's also not great for social media images unless you were using it to build assets that you're going to place an image at a later point in time.

Adobe Illustrator is being utilized in many capacities in our creative processes. Marketing emails, catalog and presentation graphics, and website assets. Illustrator is often the first step in many of these tasks because of the powerful and fast graphics generation process. It is also beneficial to be able to work in a scalable image format that can be seamlessly translated into different applications.
  • Industry-standard vector creation. If it can be done, Illustrator does it.
  • Decades of development and user expertise.
  • Seamlessly works with other Adobe Creative Suite applications.
  • As part of Adobe's Creative Suite, there is the cost to consider. There are open and free alternatives if you are willing to make trade-offs.
  • There is quite a learning curve for new users.
  • All of the Creative Suite have similar but slightly different interfaces. It can be a bit jarring at times looking for a tool when you are used to it in a different spot.
Adobe Illustrator is one of the most essential tools in professional graphic design and creative production. Most applications these days benefit from having scalable vector graphics at least at the concept and creation stage. Even if a raster solution is called for, it is often better to begin with vector if you can. This lets you scale to other applications or future technology improvements.

We currently use Adobe Illustrator CC in our Design department. Whenever a need arises to create a vector illustration or detailed graph, Illustrator is our go-to. There have been times we've used it even as our main graphic design program for events and programs that need printed materials, but mainly we use it to create intricate illustrations to insert into other files. Our department currently uses it, and I believe other graphic designers on-campus use it frequently as well.
  • Vector Illustration. There are a lot of tools present in Adobe Illustrator that give you the freedom to create whatever you're thinking of.
  • Detailed Graph creation. When we need something with more options than Excel to create graphs, Adobe Illustrator has many more options to play with.
  • Pasteboard freedom. When working on a project that has multiple sizes and iterations that are needed, it's possible to create all the different pasteboard sizes in one file. There's no need to create 15 separate files for 15 differently-sized web graphics, simply duplicate, resize, and export all within one file.
  • Huge Learning Curve. I've been using Adobe Illustrator for over 10 years and there are still things I don't know how to do and need to look up tutorials for. The information you need is all out there, but you definitely have to take the initiative to learn those intricacies yourself.
  • Doesn't always give the desired result. Sometimes I'll try to create something, and I implement my plan, but some shape wasn't fully closed, or there was a clipping mask somewhere I wasn't aware of, and suddenly it won't do what I want. It can be frustrating when trying to create something quickly and coming up on a brick wall like that.
  • Keyboard commands don't line up with other Adobe programs. Since I alternate between InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop quite frequently, I tend to have different keyboard commands memorized. But there are certain commands that InDesign has, that Illustrator uses for a completely different tool. It can be frustrating and I feel like I always have to relearn what I had memorized.
Adobe Illustrator CC is great for graphic designers to create icons, illustrations, graphics, and fonts. Some designers use it primarily to design everything from posters, postcards, web graphics, etc, but I believe Illustrator is less suited for this, and InDesign should be used for those purposes. Illustrator is great for creating graphics that would get added [to] programs like InDesign.

As the creative director, I have been using Adobe Illustrator CC for about eight years to create and edit 90% of our marketing and branding assets. I create logos, banners, website graphics, email images, social media graphics, brochures, event signage, product graphics, video slide graphics, workbook assets, and much more. Adobe Illustrator CC is my go-to when it comes to creating any graphics-related materials for our company.
  • Great for creating simple and very complex graphics.
  • Very diverse when it come to what can be created.
  • Connects and works well with other Adobe apps.
  • Love the ability to save assets, colors, fonts, etc.
  • Love the Adobe Typekit integration for getting new fonts.
  • The ability to easily use bullets and numbers would be a life saver.
  • I wish we could pay a little more to add another device to our account. Currently the subscription is good for two devices at once. We have two computers in our office that use Adobe and I also use it on my laptop from home. I am constantly having to log out of another device to access it from another device.
  • I wish I could save doc settings the same way I can in Photoshop when creating a new document.
I believe Adobe Illustrator CC is well suited for 90% of your graphics needs. You can create so many different things with this one app. It's great for art, graphics of all kinds, logo design, some layout work, social images, signs, and much more. It's pretty much a one-stop shop designer. While it's great for most design work, I do not recommend it for photo editing, I would use Photoshop and Lightroom for that. It's capable of layout design, but I would recommend InDesign if you are doing more layout work as it has way more features and is basically designed for layout work.

Adobe Illustrator CC is being used by the marketing department. It is mainly used for creating various types of marketing materials, and also the logos and other virtual marketing materials that are needed for documents like reports, manuals, leaflets, brochures, websites, and letter header and footer for some of the official documents like purchase orders, quotations, invoices, etc.
  • Compatibility with other Adobe products.
  • Familiar interface that is used for many years.
  • Many other users worldwide make[s] it easy to share files for editing.
  • Software itself is resource demanding.
  • Many extra features required more plugins.
  • File size tends to become larger for newer versions.
This would benefit huge corporations with many different graphic designers [due to] the compatibility of the files among different countries and regions, and the online collaboration features may also benefit projects which have huge scale and not to be done by a single user.

For a user that is a standalone designer, and the works will only ever be edited by himself, or there are many more users in the company that use different software, the advantage tends to reduce.
