Powerful Tool with Room for Improvement

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use the system for ACA reporting and ongoing compliance. The ACA reporting tools in Workforce Now (WFN) are clumsy where ADP Health Compliance has real time data available. Annual ACA reporting takes a fraction of the time it took in WFN.

Pros

  • Calculating average hours worked
  • Fast creation and easy editing of 1095's and 1094's
  • Ability to look up an employee and drill down in the data

Cons

  • Too complicated, too many screens and sections
  • LOA list is great, just needs ability to filter out termed EEs and by date range
  • More interaction and automation with Workforce Now, EEs approved in Health Compliance are not automatically updated or assigned an enrollment workflow in WFN

Likelihood to Recommend

Stay focused on the most critical items: Ongoing benefit eligibility, Annual ACA reporting and minimizing penalty exposure. If a feature does not support these critical items, maybe it isn't necessary.

Make Compliance Easy with ADP Health Compliance

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I have been using this for many years and the updates/upgrading of the system has been great. The annual process has gotten easier and I trust ADP to keep up with any changes made by the DOL, IRS, etc.

Pros

  • Keep track of what needs to be done
  • Points out specific needs
  • Great reports

Cons

  • I have been letting Marie know every time we run into something that could be better

Likelihood to Recommend

Makes a very complex process easier.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our company uses ADP Health Compliance as an add-on to

WFN and the Benefits module. It is very helpful to have all three

components working together to streamline processes and ensure accuracy in data

collection. I would definitely recommend Health Compliance if you are

already using ADP Workforce Now and the benefits module.

Pros

  • Tracks ACA eligibility.
  • Prepares the IRS 1095-C and 1094-C.
  • Distributes/transmits the IRS 1095-C and 1094-C.

Cons

  • Monthly error/compliance notifications would be great.

Likelihood to Recommend

It helps take the guesswork out of ACA compliance.

ADP Health Compliance helps with ACA Compliance for our organization. It pulls the data from the main ADP portal, which houses our data.

Cons

  • It could be easier to use

Likelihood to Recommend

ADP overall is too big so getting specific answers about ADP Health Compliance can be difficult.

Reporting Confidence with ADP Health Compliance

Rating: 7 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use ADP Health Compliance for the obvious reasons, managing ACA and benefit edibility. The dashboards make it very easy to see what needs to be updated and where corrections need to be made. Filing our 1095s and 1094s this year was simple and straightforward. ADP Health Compliance gives us the confidence that our data is reported correctly.

Pros

  • Calculate eligibility and measurement periods.
  • Transmit, print and mail 1095 and 1094 data.
  • Easily determine who is newly eligible.

Cons

  • Overly complicated. There are three things I need to know about ACA; 1) who is eligible at the end of an initial measurement period, 2) who is eligible at open enrollment, 3) who needs a 1095 at the end of the year.
  • The whole "approval" process is confusing and pretty pointless, just show me #1 above.
  • A lack of user guides and job aids. The main guide focuses on logging in to the system and the approval process.
  • There is no easy way to update eligibility and assign workflows in WFN, and ADP Health Compliance does not have a way to update WFN based on the eligibility results.

Likelihood to Recommend

If data is in good shape, ADP Health Compliance works great. If not, there are hours of corrections that need to be done. Once data is in the system, it is easy to look up employees by name, or look at an entire company. The employee data is fairly easy to read and shows eligibility calculations for all measurement periods.

ACA Reporting Made Painless

Rating: 9 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We picked up the module when the ACA reporting first became available, in 2017. As we had used ADP for our payroll since we began (in 2008) and had integrated the benefits module around the same time, it was easy to implement.

The 1095C process has been relatively painless for us, as the data feeds to the ACA reporting system automatically. Reminders of due dates and IRS submission updates happen automatically. The support has also been very helpful, as we always have a few employees whose information needs to be entered manually. Overall, we are pleased with the convenience and ease the system offers.

Pros

  • Reporting
  • Tracking status
  • Reminders of IRS deadlines

Cons

  • the dashboard could be a bit more user-friendly
  • there is a link to categories for 1095C reporting that would nice to have directly linked
  • ACA data can be confusing to interpret as shown in compliance dashboard

Likelihood to Recommend

It's great that we can partner with ADP to make the ACA reporting less work, as end-of-year is already such a busy time in the HR world. Aside from a few manual updates, the process goes pretty smoothly and is one less task we need to spend our time doing.

Great Investment for ACA

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

ADP Health Compliance helps us stay up to date on new laws and makes us comfortable that we are following ACA correctly. We went from spending weeks completing yearly 1095 forms to less than a day. Our monthly calls throughout the year ensure that we do not have to spend a lot of time at year end.

Pros

  • Monthly calls with dedicated advisor
  • Knowledge on difficult code combinations on 1095s
  • Mailing and submitting to IRS all 1095s

Cons

  • Online portal looks dated

Likelihood to Recommend

There is no reason that I wouldn't recommend this product. It is well worth the cost just from the time we as a company have saved on ACA tasks and we feel absolutely confident that ADP Health Compliance is doing their best to minimize penalties for our company. They are very knowledgeable and always available for questions as well.

  • It help track hours for employees so we know when employees are eligible for benefits

Health Compliance Necessity

Rating: 9 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Currently, the ADP Health Compliance Platform is managed by 3 people in HR. The tool has really come such a long way from what it was. Every month, it monitors our associates hours and presents us with eligibility approval options. We also have biweekly/monthly calls with our awesome ADP Health Compliance Manager, Regina. Being an employer with variable hour associates is challenging. The tool helps us measure associates hours to make sure that we are offering coverage to associates who deserve it. The system is complex and I'm always learning new things about it.

Pros

  • Powerful reporting
  • Easy to utilize
  • great partnership with account manager

Cons

  • While the system is easy to navigate - the tool is actually very complex and difficult to understand.

Likelihood to Recommend

ADP Health Compliance is useful for employers to stay compliant with ACA Rules & Regs. I think it would be impossible to manage as a large employer without it. The tool gives us specific action items and employees to review. This helps reduce the mindless navigation to get to important areas. It also outlines potential penalty exposure and other "needs attention" items that are critical to know.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

All health enrollments are now processed and tracked in ADP SmartCompliance Health Compliance. The employee logs in to enroll in or decline coverage. It helped solve getting enrollment information to the employees.

Pros

  • Easier for an employee to enroll. The employees' basic information is already in the system so they don't have to fill out all that information.
  • Employees can log in and see what coverage they elected for the year, which they couldn't do before.

Cons

  • The ability to electronically sign certain forms, like the Ltd and Std form without having to print, sign, scan, and upload the form. Not everyone has access to a scanner to upload the form.

Likelihood to Recommend

It makes doing the year-end ACA filings a lot easier since it tracks the information for the reports. It also creates the files to submit at the end of the year. It would help if it gave better/more descriptive reasons as to why some of the files were rejected.
