We use RUN Powered by ADP® to run our payrolls and related payroll taxes reporting and payment. ADP enables use to understand the latest update on appliable laws and requirements and make sure we're in compliance, including but not limited to payroll related matters and 401K annual compliance testing and reporting. The service we received from ADP is professional, efficient and effective.

  • I need help on 401K annual testing and sent an email to ADP a week ago with a high importance marked, but so far no response received. Though I receive prompt help after finding and calling into the customer service line, having the email communication channel work will be better.
Based on my own experience, RUN Powered by ADP® is well suited to run, manage payrolls and company 401K plans, provide professional input on upcoming regulation changes and how to best prepare for it, and remind required compliance testing and reporting and assist along the way to ensure such testing and reporting are done and meet the compliance requirement.

I use Run for all company Payroll and tax needs. Before RUN, the biggest problem we faced was figuring out and paying the company's taxes.

RUN Powered by ADP® has made running payroll in several different states a breeze! Anytime I've had a question, their live chat representatives have quickly helped me know where I need to go to get the answers I needed. They've also helped me register for the needed payroll tax ID's every time we hire in a new state. I would definitely recommend their services to similar companies.

I use RUN Powered by ADP® to issue payroll with direct deposit to employees and to HSA accounts, track 401k contributions and matches, local, state and federal tax filings for payroll, track sick, vacation and banked time for each employee.

  • Inputting employee data not generated in ADP for W-2's - very frustrating to have to contact support instead of entering myself - they mess enter incorrect totals and try to adjust employee info, when it is company end or report only (box 12 info).
I should not have to contact RUN Powered by ADP®'s customer service to do so many tasks and enter box 12 reporting information.

RUN makes payroll processing fast and conveient. I process payroll on a biweekly basis with occasional off-cycle payrolls. Payroll changes are quick and easy. The reports are excellent and quick and easy to produce. When I need assistance, the support team is always available to walk me through any issues.

I use it to run bi-weekly payroll, onboard new employees, and administer my SIMPLE IRA contributions for my employees. It provides seamless integration with my QuickBooks and is very easy to use the first time. Highly recommend to all small business owners, especially new start-ups. Great promos when signing up too.

We use RUN ADP to process payroll. Not only is processing payroll each week super easy, but the platform itself is easy to navigate when looking for reports. I can print employee pay stubs, look at their earnings, plus access end-of-year reports needed for audits, taxes, etc.

As a small business, we don't have a full HR/Accounting department as there is no need. RUN Powered by ADP helps us use our time more efficiently and effectively by providing tools we wouldn't otherwise have at our fingertips. It's almost like having an extra employee.
  • Keeps accurate payroll data for employees as well as the business
  • Provides 24/7 access to employees for their personal needs
  • Keeps us informed of changes in the laws/regulations/rules pertaining to hiring, minimum wage, etc.
  • Submits wages reports to Federal and State authorities
  • Helps us find answers to questions regarding hiring out-of-state employees (remote workers).
  • Pre-packaged reports could be improved. Our previous payroll provider had standard (canned) Quarterly and Year-End Reports. I couldn't find any on RUN and had to make up my own, which took some time. I had to pull reports from previous quarters/years from the other provider to figure out what I needed. While having the ability to customize reports is great, I feel that more "standard" packages could be offered.
  • When starting a ticket, I don't need to be emailed about my own updates to the ticket. I did that. I know I did that. Stop sending emails regarding my updates. I only need to be notified when someone from ADP updates my ticket.
When we hire remote workers, living in other states, RUN Powered by ADP has been supportive and an excellent resource. We know we can contact them with questions and they will set us in the right direction. From how to get set up in other states (with specific contact information) to general questions, they've been great.

We use RUN to manage the earnings, deductions, and PTO for all of our Employees as well as handling all of the direct deposits and filing and funding the taxes.

The year-end process with ADP RUN is seamless. Once you run your last payroll for the year and run your reports the rest of year-end reporting is done for you. W-2s are processed right away at the beginning of the year and sent out to each employee. The process is simple and really takes off any burdens you would normally have at the end of the year.

After 13 painstaking years with Paychex, we made the big jump to RUN Powered by ADP in 2022 & everything ever since has been smooth sailing! Implementation was made extremely easy and worked around our schedule. And even now, in the day-to-day use of the payroll services, we have hardly had any issues and I have found more and more benefits to being with ADP: The ability to run and create my own reports for any of the odds and end scenarios that may arise. Submit help tickets if I am unable to complete a task on my own or just need some additional assistance. Our employees are able to make their own adjustments and view all of their information at their own discretion. Time Tracking services that allow our employees to have an idea of what their paycheck will look like in advance. Training platform to assist HR in ensuring that we are meeting all of the government mandated requirements. These are just some of the many benefits that we have taken advantage of since switching to RUN Powered by ADP!

We are a small business with 1 sole employee that handles HR and I oversee the department. We are able to seamlessly review timecards and time off requests virtually, employees are held accountable for their time since they can view it themselves, less frustrated employees that do no understand their paycheck or time since they are able to be in more control. The world is becoming virtual, so we are able to jump right in with on boarding and training expectations. When we receive garnishment documentation, we submit a ticket and it is handled in a timely manner, this is extremely beneficial for us.

I really like the website & having a single portal where I can manage multiple aspects of our business. The snapshots on the homepage are helpful & efficient. ADP Workforce makes the onboarding process much easier, and I love that the employees can have their own log-in and the ability to make certain changes and access their pay stubs and information, etc. We also have our Workers' Comp through ADP and the process of creating my own COIs has been super quick & easy...saving me a ton of time. I also have found the Customer Service, especially the chat option, to be super helpful.

We have a small church and this is our payroll service, we manage our time and payroll using this app. it's great that I can take a few minutes and have payroll done. This isn't my primary job, I volunteer at the church. I have another full time job, I'm a full time student and a full time mom. So anything to make the process of helping the church and doing it quickly is great!

  • Once in a while the time clock feature wont let people clock in or out and I have to manually enter their time.

The business problems that we had were with another payroll company before we had ADP --unfortunately our payroll taxes were not being paid or being paid correctly. Due to this issue we were in the market to switch our payroll provider. In the past we previously had ADP and due to the circumstances of our situation, it was beneficial to go with ADP as we had them previously, so making the switch back was relatively easy.

Don't get me wrong it is always good to grow as a business and look towards future growth, but if you are just starting out, this may be something to build up to or strive for due to the program being relatively expensive in comparison to other products.

We keep it simple. We use it to stay in compliance with the state (insurance and tax reporting) and for W2 employee(s). We run payroll once at the end of the year and do monthly check-ins to make sure insurance remains active. That's pretty much it.

  • The constant switching between customer service reps can be rough. It's like each one knows something but doesn't really know how all the pieces and parts connect.
  • Customer service reps should understand tax laws in the state they work in and then be guided to those same state clients .
As I've been learning the system it's getting better. There was just a lot of run around in the beginning. I don't know maybe the reps make a commission so they're not as concerned with the clients as if they'd be if they were paid a higher hourly rate...? To counteract this I've just made it regular to call and check in on items monthly.

I use RUN to process my clients payroll. By using the RUN platform payroll is easy enough for my clients (and in some cases their employees) to enter themselves in a short amount of time. So I am no longer required to spend paydays in front of my computer entering hours and filing forms with IRS & state agencies.
  • Once set up RUN is simple enough for non-accountants to feel comfortable navigating
  • RUN provides ample notifications to ensure payroll is processed in time for employees to receive their pay checks on schedule.
  • RUN does a great job of making sure all state and federal reporting is taken care of
  • The reporting in RUN is not as useful or intuitive as it's similar competitors
  • The setup and accounting system integration process could be more user friendly
The clients I see that have the most benefit from RUN are those with only a few salaried employees. They are able to "set it & forget it". Once the initial setup is in place, the system is pretty much hands free. Direct deposits hit the employee accounts when they are scheduled and email notifications update management when/if an additional action is needed.

We use Run Powered By ADP on a daily basis for our own payroll and for the payroll of the 55+ accounts we manage. I like that it is a simple to use platform and it gives us notices about holidays that are coming up or if the system thinks that there is an error. It's also very helpful with our clients who are multistate because it helps us to ensure that we are in compliance.

  • The system is user friendly and it takes little time to learn the layout.
  • The employee onboarding is straightforward and we have the option of allowing the employee to do this themselves, which we like.
  • Downloading certain tax reports could be more simple
  • On the wholesale platform we are unable to chat with a live agent
  • It'd be nice if we're able to add the client's logo to the profile and pay stubs
RUN Powered by ADP is perfect for those small businesses that are starting with their business journey and don't need a lot of extra services. The system is straightforward and both easy to learn and easy to use. It's also great for those busy managers or owners because with the employee access, employees are able to go in and change their address or withholding status. This is less work for the Payroll manager and there's less room for error.

We function under the umbrella of the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Foundation and as such, our finances need to remain separate. ADP allows us to manage our payroll needs easily while ensuring that expense coding is allocated appropriately. It also allow provides tracking and reporting in terms of charitable contributions made via payroll to our Foundation.

Given that this system allows for multiple pay codes for any given day, I really can't see a scenario where this program wouldn't be beneficial to a work force. I think the only reason not to implement this program is cost. Some community organizations use cost supplemented payroll systems, so it is a hard business case to implement something else, which is fair, but the overall reduction in staff time would arguably be worth it.

As hr/payroll director, I handle all facets and, since converting from another provider over to RUN Powered by ADP®, my life has been much smoother and stress levels have dropped significantly thanks to the user-friendliness of RUN Powered by ADP®. With our prior provider reporting was cumbersome and time consuming while we find ADP unbelievably user-friendly and so much faster there is no comparison. With my time being of great value this is but one of the many areas where our conversion over to ADP has brought an obvious return on investment to not only our organization but to myself.
  • Employee usage is very simple for them to grasp vs our prior provider.
  • Reporting is easy to navigate and user friendly with more options.
  • Updating information is quick and easy while still safe and secure
  • Shorten times required to obtain assistance with issues.
  • Improved training during onboarding
  • Better understanding that not everyone understands ADP and industry terminology and information at same levels so when speaking to people you must understand your audience and adjust accordingly. You can't instruct with resolutions as if helping coworker that has same level of knowledge as you when person has little to no understanding of what you are referring to leading to mutual frustration and no resolution of issues...only poor experiences.
Compared to the multiple providers I have used in the past, RUN Powered by ADP® is head and shoulders above all. Ease of use, the expanse of reports to fit any and all needs, and training are vast.

We are farmers who grow sweet cherries, and often hire summer college interns. We use RUN for payroll, and it has significantly reduced the amount of time I spent calculating taxes etc. The program is straightforward and easy to use, especially once used a few times. Year-end W2s and filings were a breeze, eliminating the work on my end.

  • Because we farm in Michigan, OT pay is not required. I did not look closely enough to see that it was being paid, and we spent $750 unintentionally on OT. Would be great to have that as a question on the "onboarding" process.
