We use RUN for our monthly payroll and it is excellent for all of our needs. The people that support us at ADP work wonderfully with our team and always one step ahead of us. This allows us to do what is necessary in the least amount of time. Thank you ADP for being so efficient.

It is used for payroll processing, time and attendance, as well as Background checks with the HR Portal. Included in time and attendance are leave accruals and requests.
  • Onboarding new hires: acquiring the needed information from them
  • Verifies banking information so that first check is Direct Deposit
  • Shows an alert if Payroll is different for an individual
  • Reliability. Frequent problems logging into platform
  • Registering Time entries correctly
  • Time Off Requests: Confirmation email should show the type of request employee submitted, not just the date
  • Platform needs to be fully functional on Firefox
  • Notes function in Time & Attendance glitches often and notes cannot be found.
RUN Powered by ADP® is great for a tech-savvy workforce that is accustomed to doing everything on a computer. Older users who are accustomed to paper will be challenged with RUN Powered by ADP®. The onboarding manager for new customers disappears after the account is active for payroll. It's not easy to form relationships with a "go-to person".

Organization: PCM Associates Ltd. I am able to manage my own payroll from anywhere. I just need my log in. My employees can view their data as well. Also I am able to manage the 401l plans that I advise. Some problems are making updates because both payroll and retirement need to be in sync. If there is an issue the back office team readilly assists.

RUN Powered by ADP is suited well for small businesses because it is cost-effective. The cost is very competitive and is standard. Very few times are there extra fees or costs. I always know what my monthly expenses are to be. The price is very competitive for a small business while dealing with a major company. I am always able to reach a live person if necessary. I would like the ability to correct it within 24 hours.

We use RUN Powered by ADP® for our W2 employees. RUN Powered by ADP® makes logging hours for employees and running payroll easy. Employees can log in and out and admins can edit time as necessary.

Payroll processing is simple to use, but I wish there was a place to upload and save a Payroll Memo that details all of the changes/differences for each payroll from previous payrolls, to include a change in Direct Deposit information for a specific employee, or a change to benefits deductions, a summary of PTO taken per employee, etc. Currently we are keeping a separate Payroll Memo in PDF that details this information.

We manage payroll, timekeeping, PTO, benefits, hiring and onboarding, background checks, employee handbook, HR forms, company property tracking, employee files. Ease of the chat to handle questions. We have also partnered with ADP to manage employee 401K's and were using them for workers compensation. handling advances and loans to employees is easy to track.

I do not have specific scenarios to cite. It suits our use but it would be nice to customize some of the features. The Timecards are not tracking total hours for the exempt employees and I have not been able to find the timecard reports archived somewhere. Our full time exempt employees track their time in case the owner ever questions their hours. I have no way to go back and support them in proving their hours.

I run semi-monthly payroll for the office and use the Retirement Service product. It helps to have the 401k plan part of the payroll service to eliminate duplicate work around processing and administering the 401k plan.
  • Intuitive and easy to use and implement.
  • Retirement Service makes it easy to have employee deductions and distributions to their 401k plan investment choices.
  • Employees can access their data and update themselves.
  • Being a small company and as a designated owner, the employee who processes payroll is the only person that gets the notification that payroll is submitted. As the "Owner," it would be best if the "owner" could also get a copy of the processing of payroll. I have to log in to review what was actually submitted...so if incorrect and I miss checking immediately, an employee could be paid incorrectly.
  • The PTO / vacation accrual product does not have the ability to provide a "liability" report of what the accrual balances owed are. I started using the product only to find out that a liability report was not available, nor could it be created.
  • Employee change form is only available after payroll is submitted. It would be more helpful to have the change form available before submission so any potential incorrect changes could be identified before running a final payroll.
Super easy to implement. This version that my company is on works for a small company where internal control audits are not performed and the "owner" can trust that payroll is being submitted properly without too much oversight. I heard that there is another platform with many other features that I could use, but it is "only available to a headcount of 25 or more."

We are a small company with only a monthly payroll so our use is very limited. In a former job I used ADP for HR and Payroll of over 600 employees with multiple pay and vacation groups.

I was very disappointed that my bosses W2 was incorrect and it took ADP several months to issue a corrected one to the point that she had to file for a tax extension to file her taxes.

I set up and manage payroll for several small businesses. Some are owner only, and some have a few employees. Most of them use it to pay themselves regularly while freelancing to benefit credit score, mortgages and loans, and help them budget. Most of the challenges faced by these businesses are inconsistent or sporadic income.

I use RUN for processing payroll and to research compliance questions. RUN addresses my goal of accurate and efficient payroll processing and HR compliance. I use it for everything from processing payroll, to using reports for evaluating our HR expenses to calling RUN HR to get education on HR compliance in California. I also use ADP Time & Attendance.

  • Provide calculations for determining regular rate of pay when non-discretionary bonuses, commission paid so overtime rate is correct
  • Provide a compliant check stub for final check that has to be given on last day worked
  • Make Employee Access website more stable. Too often I have to get involved calling ADP because an employee is having trouble logging in when they are using their correct credentials.
  • Provide feature that automatically gives me their vacation balance cash out for last check
  • Fix accrual feature to stop accruing for sick/vacation at a company defined limit
Well suited for small businesses with straightforward hourly and salary employees. If you compensate by hourly involving commissions and other non-discretionary pay like quarterly bonuses, RUN will not help with going back a figuring retro-pay for the OT worked during the quarter. It will have to be done manually.

We use it for running payroll and tax payments. We are currently learning how to create our new handbook with RUN as we a new company implementing it for the first time. We use the HR section of RUN to help us find forms for our employees for onboarding and HR questions.

RUN & ADP has helped us ensure our employees are paid accurately and on time. If necessary, we can get employees paid on a short turnaround. We can also provide bonuses easily, knowing the taxes are properly withheld. The system was easy to learn and get up and running.

I use this tool to run payroll for my employees. The tool helps me manage information on both my W2 and 1099 employees. I can easily plug in the hourly rate as well as lass rate as two separate pay rates per employee which is super helpful for me for my specific business model.

good for payroll and wages.
attention to small businesses can be significantly improved. Technical issues with IRS and government notices takes very long time to get answered. Ive had notices that it took over 9 months to get a response, every time i speak to an agent, I get forwarded or incorrect information is provided. too big to understand the needs of small businesses. Agents promise somethings, but are not communicated, for example, ADP was suppose to file my quarterly taxes, they didn't, I have accumulated finance charges from the IRS, agent said they will cover those charges, next agent denied. no consistency and very frustrating.

  • Whenever I go to process payroll on time, it always says I am doing it "a bit too early..." which is not the case. I hope they can fix that issue.

We use RUN Powered by ADP® to process our weekly payroll, use the tax forms to submit our state and federal tax returns, use to the tax liability amounts to pay our tax deposits on EFTPS, and use payroll summaries and details for record keeping and insurance audits. We use the W2 information to provide documentation to employees.

On a regular basis, I use RUN Powered by ADP to access employee information such as personal information, run reports of company payroll date for use in annual benefit selection and on-going compliance reporting. Also use peripherals such as Zip Recruiter and HR411.

I use RUN Powered by ADP occasionally throughout the year for special/off cycle commission payments. RUN Powered by ADP is very easy and efficient to use. I also use it for end of year reporting for the owners.
