It is a good tool, but the support is hit or miss. I only receive emails asking to do a survey when the experience was positive. Often I leave the call still frustrated and have to live with the mistake or call back and hope I get someone helpful.

It is being used for our North American team. We use it half-heartedly as an ATS but the company never took the time to customize it so hasn't had true effectiveness. Use it as an HRIS tool more effectively.

Again, I've used ADP in the past as well and it's great for the reporting functions and it's also great for employees to self-service when it comes to PTO and things of that nature. It's fine as an HRIS. But as an ATS it's rather clunky. Seems like everything takes quite a few steps and clicks and hard to find where it actually is that you would go to do certain things. It means you spend more time clicking around to find the right route.

My organization utilizes ADP Workforce Now for payroll, as well as all of our HR needs - ATS (recruitment), benefits administration, time and attendance, and performance management (probationary and annual reviews with goal setting). The entire organization uses the system, however, we have a variety of access levels for employees, supervisors, payroll, and HR.
  • One stop shop. All of our HR needs are in one location.
  • User-friendly with tutorials for all staff.
  • Assigned customer service representatives for each module.
  • The onboarding module is counter-productive. There needs to be a way for new hires to fill out the documents in the system and it transfers to their profile.
  • Support desk takes too long to resolve issues.
  • Difficult to add or terminate a supervisor or practitioner access level.
  • Reporting can be more intuitive.
ADP Workforce Now is excellent with payroll administration. The payroll platform is very user-friendly and they submit and calculate taxes on behalf of the organization. Benefits administration is good, but sometimes there are issues with the carrier connection.

ADP Workforce Now is being used as the primary application for HR/Payroll processes throughout the whole business. We are still newcomers to ADP Workforce Now with less than 6 months of use but are loving it overall. ADP Workforce Now helps mitigate payroll problems through ease of use. Additionally, managing and processing employee time cards is very easy. Many employees also utilize the ADP Workforce Now app which has helped immensely as we have multiple locations that employees can clock in at. I am excited to learn more about ADP Workforce Now through their learning center!
  • Ease of use for users.
  • The help icons are good refreshers and help greatly.
  • PTO requesting/receiving.
  • After updates, the system is often buggy, which is annoying.
  • Running custom reports is an awesome addition but it is complicated for new users.
  • The app is not really reliable for the technologically challenged. Maybe add an option to save users and pass on their phone. I do know the app allows for fingerprints, which is nice.
ADP Workforce Now is a great product to use for medium/large businesses. It makes many of the tedious things like PTO, payroll, HR tasks, and taxes, simple. There are endless possibilities with their custom reports and analytics tools, which can give great insight into your business that you may have not considered in the past. ADP Workforce Now is one of the most user-friendly products that you can get, but it can be quite daunting when you are an administrator/practitioner. There is so much content for each section and it can be overwhelming at times.

We use it for payroll, time/attendance, HRIS, onboarding, recruiting, GL Interface, reporting, and file management. It's ued across the organization. It a single-source system that makes managing employees easier. We don't use scheduling, as we don't find it robust enough for our industry, but the higher-level system is too expensive, so we use On Shift.

We use ADP [Workforce Now] across our whole business. We utilize the HR, Payroll, Time & Attendance, Benefits, Onboarding, Document Cloud, and Recruitment modules. We are also utilizing ESS for employee changes. It solves all our problems and we are looking to utilize Performance Management. The best part is how seamlessly everything flows.

  • Annual budgeting would be nicer, [especially] if we had more flexibility.
  • A better flow between Benefits and Payroll [could be improved upon]. [In our case,] we are a bi-weekly payroll and the [number] of weeks in the Enrollment Profile doesn't correspond to the number of remaining payroll weeks.
It is a great solution for mid-size businesses because everything flows as opposed to spending time figuring out why information didn't flow to different systems. There is a solution for every problem that we have had.

ADP Workforce Now is used for employees' time, attendance, and benefits. Leavitt is a corporate organization, however, we are part of the Redwoods Leavitt branch. We have approximately 16 employees in our department, throughout the two offices in Oregon and two in California. We have our HR in another area/state that can assist with any questions or concerns we may have. I assist with approving and submitting payroll for our employees, while the agency co-owner is informed of the employees' times and attendance. Leavitt Enterprise uses ADP Workforce Now as a whole.
  • User Friendly: Easy to read and follow.
  • Organized: Keeps important details.
  • Thorough: Makes you save progress with tasks, keeps you updated with changes.
  • Convenient: Able to access once logged onto the system, simple concept with clocking in and out. Able to pull tax forms and payment summary for ones self.
  • Notes: Unable to post notes to employees' times/days when they are out of the office. This would be nice to note why a person is gone for record-keeping.
  • User Settings: ADP Workforce Now would be neat if you can customize your user portal with backgrounds and colors - make it your own.
  • More often company news and announcements updates.
ADP Workforce Now is well suited in letting employees have access to their information. It's easy to make changes to address, benefits, and requesting time off. It's very confidential when it comes to employees' wages and benefits, only the user or HR can potentially access this. Email notifications get sent to employees after approval for times off or changes. Email notifications, I get at times, are unclear. "One or more employees have exceptions on their timecard. Please login to ADP to handle the exceptions." Most of the time it is for a missing time punch that needs to be entered before payroll is submitted to an employee's time or it is regarding overtime.

We use ADP Workforce Now across the entire organization except for one restaurant. We have five restaurants, a farm, a processing/manufacturing center for pharmaceuticals, a pharmacy, a management/office company, and construction. Each of these uses ADP Workforce Now for onboarding new employees, payroll, tracking certifications, tracking PTO accrual and use, and more.
  • Providing learning centers / posting Q&As for most tasks.
  • Very technical and robust reporting and accounting features.
  • Too technical for the average user, especially in HR.
  • Onboarding is really glitchy: users don't get the emails, there are errors in the form, are unable to upload documents, etc. to where we have to onboard another way.
  • Training and support teams are mostly incompetent.
  • Strange rules that prevent certain actions during the start or preview of payroll - can't input garnishments, but you can still change wages.
  • Updating someone's pay doesn't always show up in the pay batch.
  • When adding an employee to another position or another company, it doesn't transfer over the tax withholdings or direct deposit information.
Background: We previously had 7-9 different accounts on RUN Powered by ADP for our different businesses. We were really excited to have it all consolidated to one account and have different users log in to the one account with ADP Workforce Now. However, from the start, there were issues: They wouldn't give us access to the software so we were trained before we could access it; I had to constantly email our project manager to grant us access before we had payroll the first week of January. Even once we finally got access (the week before payroll), we had to input 10-20 new employees and learn the software for ourselves. We have used it for over 9 months now and still have constant issues. We have submitted upwards of 50-60 service requests because our trainers were bad and our software is glitchy. We have been horrified by the incompetence of our ADP Workfore Now team. The software could be very good, but it seems to be in horrible hands.

All employees and applicants are users throughout the company. Volkert's Corporate HR Group, Talent Acquisition Department, and multiple HR Assistants use the many features to manage day-to-day duties and tasks. ADP Workforce Now has been a time management tool in that employees are able to self-manage their benefits and personal information. The HR Group, Talent Acquisition Department, and the HR Assistants are able to easily provide information and detailed reports to management and others quickly and efficiently.

We are currently using [ADP Workforce Now] for timekeeping and processing payroll. We also have the HR portion as well that we are starting to get into for benefits management and such. For our company, it has created a way to simplify the number of software programs we needed before.

  • The reports are a bit more complicated.
  • The steps in the payroll cycle are a bit complicated.
For larger companies that want to be able to manage their payroll, timekeeping, and HR needs with one program this is the way to go. I think it would not work well for smaller companies. In my previous work experience, I have worked in the janitorial world, and I believe [ADP Workforce Now] would have been very useful for me managing employees that are so spread out and on different schedules.

ADP Workforce Now is being used to process payroll, manage our employees timesheets, benefits, compensations and withholdings, amongst other features it has to offer.
  • Customer service.
  • Follow-up with phone calls to confirm issues have been resolved.
  • Provide information of updates of software in a timely manner.
I believe ADP Workforce Now is well-rounded and meets the needs of its customers. The pros of the software are easy navigation and user-friendly. The less appropriate scenario would be that ADP Workforce Now becomes a little complex when you can do the same thing in different areas of the software.

ADP Workforce Now is our payroll system, HRIS system, time tracking, recruiting, and background checking system. I can push a button and get my EEO-1 report or the Vets 4212. The payroll system is so black and white, my cat could process payroll, and the system doesn't allow anyone to do something they shouldn't. I love having all the employee info I need at my fingertips- I can run a report and get anything I need. The CSRs are knowledgeable and very helpful, and I love having the opportunity to chat online when I have a simple question. I'm new to using the recruiting module, but we have gotten some very good candidates/new hires from it, without being buried in unqualified applications. And most important, I get help when I need it.

  • The ability to roll up pay summaries (for payroll verifications!)
  • Track accumulators for payroll
  • Background checks. Clunky and not user friendly.

I have found when I have unusual situations, there has always been someone at ADP [Workforce Now] who could help me achieve [the] desired result. Maybe not the way I thought it would work, but as long as I get what I need in the end, it works for me.

Human Resources uses ADP Workforce Now on a daily basis to manage all employees' personnel records. Some issues that we encounter are delays in the drug screening and background screening results. Additionally, sometimes we receive inaccurate notifications that the drug testing appointment was missed, however, it was not. When calling into ADP Selection for assistance, sometimes the wait times are extremely long.

I used ADP as an employee at another organization. In my current role, I underwent the process of reviewing and changing HRIS providers for the organization after negative feedback about the current provider. I was very pleased and impressed with the products and support offered by the team at ADP. The implementation was thorough and allowed us to train staff over time. The system effectively streamlined HR functions and recordkeeping into being more efficient than with our previous service provider.

It is being used by all employees, supervisors, HR, and accounting. It addresses our paper issues and allows us to become more digital. We are still finding new things and ways ADP can be beneficial to us. They take the product feedback seriously and make constant updates from those reviews.

[ADP Workforce Now is] well suited for payroll and HR functionality, but since it can be highly customized it is important to be very knowledgeable in order to fully take advantage of all the software it has to offer. I have been told that something is not possible, but through my own training and research was able to find many times that the thing I wanted was in fact possible.

Full HR & Payroll suite. We are using it for Human Resource management and payroll. We also use benefits administration and talent. We hope to implement more of the features in the near future. It solved the problem of an old, antiquated HCM suite and payroll process and allows for more streamlined efficient processes.

We are using [ADP Workforce Now] across our whole organization. We are using it for timekeeping, payroll, and HR. [In my experience] none of which are working any better than our last system.

  • I can access the files from hand held devices when I'm not in the office
  • Getting quick answers to urgent problems
  • My overtime programming has been wrong all year and has cost us thousands of dollars because no one is fixing it
  • Getting conflicting training to handle specific entry issues (1099 vs W2 ees), manual checks, correcting tax withholding
  • I am so unhappy with this program that I can't wait for the end of the year because we might be able to get rid of it
[In my experience] our training was non-existent, nothing on-site. No real process checklist. None of the programming was done in advance. The first time I spoke with anyone about the programming was the day we were supposed to process our first payroll. It took us 2 more whole days working many hours into the night. We were actually counting down to the last possible minute trying to get the pay correct for that first payroll.

We use ADP Workforce now for our employees to input their time on their time cards, as well as to print out their paycheck stubs and W-2's. They are also able to update their own information in the ADP system.

We use ADP Workforce Now to process payroll and keep track of employees' information. I am the only regular user, although my colleague is my backup and she uses it when I am on vacation or sick leave.

  • Figure out taxes properly.
  • Quick once payroll is entered.

ADP Workforce Now is our HRIS, time and attendance, and payroll system. Since I started with the company, I have rolled out employee self-service as well. All company employees utilize ADP Workforce Now to request time off and view pay statements.
  • Payroll is easy to complete.
  • Hiring process is not convoluted.
  • [I feel like] reporting is horrible. It is not easy to run reports. Often times I have to spend a wealth of time on the phone with ADP Workforce Now to get the reports I need. Some reports are not able to be created due to system limitations.
  • There is no back button!
  • I cannot open multiple windows at once. This is a huge downfall.
  • [I believe] the dashboard is not easy to use.
  • The mobile app for requesting time off is confusing. I spend time daily helping my employees learn how to request time off through the app.
ADP Workforce Now worked well for my predecessor, who barely used the program. I know what HRIS systems can do and how they can be useful. I used Kronos Workforce Ready prior, and preferred it. If I could make the switch from ADP Workforce Now to Kronos, I would.
