ADP is our full HRM. It is the first fully integrated payroll and HR system for the company.
This system has allowed us to become more efficient and not have manual data entry. We are using the system currently for payroll. We are in the process of building out the recruiting and performance modules.
  • The mobile app is very user-friendly.
  • The system is intuitive.
  • Being able view time off a month at a time for teammates/managers to see whole team.
  • Sync with Google Calendars for different milestones/time off.
ADP is a comprehensive system that allows for efficiency. ADP needs to have a training manual that will allow users to quickly access how to do things. Online training is not as effective, especially if you have to wait on a class.

ADP Workforce Now is being used by the company as a whole. We use it for timecard entry, PTO requests, taxes, deductions, benefits and almost everything in between. We are also very heavy users of the reporting piece and really rely on that as a company. It allows us a streamlined process to process payroll, accept/decline PTO requests, input payroll deductions easily, allow health benefits to be viewable and enrolled through the system and the reporting which we use daily and weekly.
  • Reporting
  • Time and Attendance
  • More manipulation for the lead page that our employees go to. I wish it had more options to share more things to the employees.
  • More tutorials for the product that we could share with the employees. These should be updated each time ADP makes a change and sent to the Admins to share and send out to their employees.
ADP Workforce Now is well suited for reporting. We run very specific reports for our clients and for our company that without ADP we would not be able to do. We know because we have asked other companies like ADP and the reporting is just not as robust. It's also great for Time Off, it's easy to work with and allows us to be able to share the PTO requests to specific people.
Less suited would be the recruiting software, we used to use it but it was super out of date and we didn't like the way it worked internally. We now use a different system that we love and is up to date with trends.

We use it for benefits and payroll for our entire company.
  • Timecards.
  • Payroll review.
  • Often runs slow or freezes.
  • I would like to be able to run reports on previous cycles, like statistical summaries.
ADP Workforce Now is a great payroll tool. It makes processing hundreds of people a streamlined process. It is probably overkill for a smaller company with less than 50 employees.

We currently utilize ADP products for anything related to employment (onboarding, payroll, benefits). We have five locations and several remote employees throughout the US.
  • Tax filings are done timely and efficiently.
  • ADP provides a place for significant data storage.
  • Support from customer service is inconsistent, often can't get needed help timely. Current support model (one key contact), doesn't work. If we ask questions outside of that person's area of expertise we struggle to get help.
  • Lack of follow through on requests & flexibility in handling payroll/benefit issues. We have some unique needs related to payroll processing and ADP struggles to support. Integrating with benefit providers is much too difficult.
ADP Workforce Now might work well for you if you can configure payroll to their systems and process. As a manufacturer and operator of a trucking operation we have several unique pay and benefit arrangements that don't fit well within ADP's system. Trying to get support from their team is uneven at best and most always frustrating. Software is buggy and causes issues for users - creates a lack of trust in the system. Way too many processing errors occur because of either bad direction from customer service or from mysterious changes in the payroll/benefit set up from one payroll cycle to the next.

My organization uses ADP Workforce now for payroll, time and attendance, HRIS, and employee self-service. Additional products used by HR exclusively are ADP Select and Recruitment modules. The core Workforce Now product was selected due to an easy quick implementation after leaving a PEO. In all this organization has been on ADP for 15 months.
  • Custom reporting continues to improve and become more intuitive for the average user who is not a reporting expert.
  • Outsourced call center service model with inexperienced but polite reps means problems are solved more slowly than ever in my 20 years of working with ADP products.
  • Leave management options to track FMLA is almost nonexistent.
ADP pricing and features are attractive to small clients who want an easy solution to uncomplicated payroll needs. But you are just a number with ADP and unless you are large company you will get lost in the shuffle with no dedicated rep and an inexperienced offshore call center.

The entire organization uses it. It's our HRM system. We use the majority of its features - Time & Attendance, Time Off, Reviews, Benefits, Etc. They also handle our payroll taxes.
  • Account Managers - We're assigned to 1 person who helps with the majority of our questions and issues. If that person can't help, they're able to forward the issue to the appropriate department. Most issues are fixed/questions are addressed within 24 hours.
  • The entire system is set up well, and flows well.
  • It'd be great if they'd add an option to create an email to all employees using the email address that's stored in ADP for each individual employee.
ADP Workforce Now would be well suited for any organization with 100+ employees. It's a great system to centralize nearly all HR processes.

ADP Workforce is used for payroll, benefits, recruiting and reporting. I am the administrator with the President of the company as a secondary administrator. The department heads have access to time and attendance only.
It does address the attendance issue especially scheduling. As a small family-owned company, it is imperative that we keep overtime and scheduling within the budget.
  • Saves time in processing payroll.
  • Support is very important in any organization and ADP has outstanding tech support if you run into any issues.
  • Scheduling - There should be a way to copy and paste a schedule to an employee's weekly assignments. Going to each individual day in a month is very time-consuming.
  • Setting up schedules based on employee's availability and having it populate monthly would be a phenomenal addition.
It is well suited to streamlining the payroll process, assisting in onboarding new hires quickly, and recruitment.
It can be frustrating at times to create reports. Many times I have had to reach out to reporting support to have reports created from scratch. In addition, I have found that PTO time has to be addressed at the beginning of every year to ensure it shows the correct amount. I have also had to adjust individual available hours when an employee has taken PTO time. It seems to calculate it incorrectly. For example, an employee has 10 days available for the year and takes 1 day, it calculates it to 9.25. Not sure why this is happening.

We use ADP Essential Time and Attendance system to process payroll and Human Capital Management for our benefit needs and 401k Retirement Services.
  • The 401k Retirement Service is great. They have a great support system.
  • Tax filing services.
  • Payroll customer service.
  • Better communication between the payroll and benefit products.
I think overall, ADP provides what most businesses need. However, customer service has always been an issue. There's a saying if you call ADP three times and ask the same question, you'll get three different answers.

ADP Workforce Now is currently being used across our organization for purposes of HRIS, Time & Attendance, Benefits, Payroll and Recruiting. It allows authorized users to have up to date information at their fingertips, regardless of location.
  • ADP Workforce Now has good reporting capabilities, once you understand the ins and outs of the system.
  • ADP Workforce Now allows for system access for individuals who are not employed by the organization directly (contractors, interns, etc.) while tailoring their capabilities to their specific job functions/purpose.
  • ADP Workforce Now has room for improvement with the rehire process, as it can be quite difficult. I have either had to get a representative on the phone to help me muddle through or take the long route by modifying each section of the employee profile manually.
  • ADP Workforce Now has room for improvement with the option to convert a non-paid position to a paid position. The sticking point is that the system does not generate a new badge number for the paid position, nor will it allow you to delete it from the non-paid role for use in the paid role. I have had to contact a representative for assistance every time.
ADP Workforce Now is a good "all in one tool" for HR use. I would not advise making the investment if you have a smaller organization.

We utilize Workforce Now's Payroll, Benefits, and Recruiting Modules. Our whole Human Resource Department uses ADP Workforce Now. Our managers and supervisors have access to review and update time cards and be interactive within the recruiting module. Some problems we have are system errors within our benefits. It's hard to explain but currently, we have an issue with our New Hire enrollment process where our New Hires are getting errors while they are enrolling in benefits, we have been working with ADP with this for a couple of weeks and they still don't have an answer or solution to this yet.
  • Recruiting set-up.
  • Employees able to change persona information.
  • Modules working together such as payroll and benefits.
  • Format while using the configuration page.
Right now, we are having an issue with our Benefits New Hire module which we have not gotten a solution to yet after a couple of weeks. When ADP is working smoothly, it has been a good system to work with. Sometimes we do see issues between different modules such as if Payroll does an update, it doesn't flow well with benefits. Also, when entering info on the homepage for employees to see, the formatting is off most of the time and difficult to work with.

ADP Workforce Now is used for timekeeping/payroll and maintaining employee information files.
  • Payroll functions.
  • Timekeeping.
  • Customization options within employee profile.
  • Constant updates that cause errors within other areas.
ADP is great for employee information storage and the ability to edit information. The payroll functions and reports are great as well. The recruiting section of ADP does not allow for customization, searching applications, and reporting.

ADP Workforce Now is being used company-wide. We use it for all facets of our company. When we switch to ADP, it allowed us to strengthen and streamline our workflows and processes. ADP is very user-friendly on the administrative side and the employee side. We use ADP for our benefit management, payroll processing, record keeping, metric reporting, document storing and compliance. We are hoping in the future to including recruiting and talent management. Switching to ADP Workforce Now has allowed our company to effectively managing our growing workforce.
  • Open enrollment.
  • Payroll.
  • There's no prorated pay for hourly employees within payroll.
  • FMLA/Leave tracking is difficult.
ADP Workforce Now is the most user-friendly system that I have work with. It has a good framework that allows you to build and customize itself to fit your organization's needs. Also, I love the wide range of reports it supports. Sometimes, it doesn't have a report that has exactly the information that I need. But with different reports, I can mix and match them as needed.

ADP Workforce Now is used across the whole organization. It has allowed us to give our managers access to employees' time so they can see lateness, missed punches, etc., without having to wait for me to run the report. It has given our mobile employees more freedom using the mobile app.
  • Time and attendance are very easy to navigate.
  • The Bridge is an excellent online tool for quick questions and answers.
  • The mobile app needs to have GPS location without having to have WiFi.
  • In payroll, I have to manually adjust salaried employee hours when they have PTO instead of it auto-deducting. For example, salaried employees are 80 hours bi-weekly and take 1 day PTO. I have to go through and place 72 regular hours and 8 PTO hours with a rate code 2 so they get paid correctly.
Switching to ADP Workforce Now a year ago was actually really great. The all-in-one system--it really is only one log-in--for all time, attendance, recruitment makes everything easy to navigate. There are help buttons on the screen. ADP Workforce Now sends out reminders when it is time to look for changes in tax information and reminds you where you can go to change it yourself.

We use ADP Workforce Now in our Human Resources/Payroll department. We use it to keep track of our employee's hours worked and to process their pay. We also use it to process their benefits like health, vision, dental, and 401K.
  • Easy to keep track of employee hours worked.
  • Payroll processing is quick and easy.
  • Could use better functionality between benefits and payroll. Sometimes things have to be done more than once so that it shows up on both.
ADP Workforce Now is easy to use most of the time. There have been a few occasions where we have had to contact our account manager with assistance.

We use ADP across the whole organization to manage our timekeeping, payroll and benefits administration, and management needs.
  • The notifications are clear and concise.
  • The reporting functions are easy-to-use and update.
  • A 'help' feature that is integrated into each section would be helpful, as opposed to going through the support tab every time.
The system does a good job of providing a large amount of detail on a high level and on the individual employee level.

One of the main reasons that we chose ADP Workforce Now is that we could report on overtime hours and costs in real time. However, during implementation, we found out that we can report overtime hours but the overtime costs are not accurate, and we don't have the capability to adjust the process. At this time we are working on an alternative, but it does not address this business issue.
  • One-stop shop for employees--pay, benefits, and paid time off
  • Implementation teams are spread across the country and have limited availability for meetings, questions, and follow-up.
  • Differences between the sales presentation and reality are significant.
ADP Workforce Now's time and attendance reports are not an increase in functionality over other databases.

Currently, human resources and managers across the company utilize ADP Workforce Now. The managers utilize it for tracking their direct reports, reviewing applications for our requisitions, and time-clock-related corrections or issues. HR uses ADP Workforce Now as the HRIS. We store all employee data, from application to termination, in ADP.
  • ADP Workforce Now provides a lot of support within the website, which makes solving problems easier.
  • We are able to switch between our 9+ entities within ADP easily.
  • The updates are very frequent and often include a change in processes or functionality. It would be much more user-friendly if we didn't have to learn new placements and processes when doing daily tasks in ADP.
  • A lot of employees seem to have issues with ADP. I think more support for employees would be appreciated. Currently HR is responsible for solving all ADP issues, and many times I've had to interface between ADP tech support and our employees. It would be much simpler to have a help-line for our employees.
ADP Workforce Now is great for the basics of tracking employment data and reporting. It's sometimes a little difficult to get exactly what you want out of your reports, but it's still super helpful! It would appear that ADP Workforce Now is not as user-friendly for employees. I've noticed that HR professionals pick up on ADP quickly, but the typical employee has more issues.

We use ADP for payroll, talent, onboarding, as well as an information tool for employees. We use ADP across our organization. ADP solves our payroll and talent needs.
  • Talent - Easy to review applicants and post openings.
  • Payroll - Easy to use and easy access for employees to view pay, pay history, etc.
  • Talent - Not easy to gather complete applicant report with attachments .
  • The worst is getting any help from help desk. If you can't figure it out yourself, you are stuck.
ADP is a good tool for payroll as well as a place to "house" applications. ADP is a terrible tool to view complete organization - it is only good for simple charts.

ADP Workforce Now is used across our entire company. We use it to handle all payroll and many of our benefits.
  • It is able to retain an employee's entire history with our company.
  • It allows our employees access to their pay stubs and annual statements at their convenience.
  • There are silly things that we can't do, that we should be able to do, like change marital status for state tax purposes.
  • The PTO and Reset year functions are senseless. This should be an automated procedure, and not have to be done manually for each employee.
ADP Workforce Now is great at storing information. However, its functionality is lackluster. I have to go through several security codes daily when updating information. Maybe once a day would be manageable. ADP Workforce Now makes it difficult to update records, as it has many trivial details that should absolutely be automated and doable without us having to contact ADP for support.

We use it to manage HR information and run payroll.
  • All of our data in one place.
  • Strong reporting.
  • Very slow to load compared to other websites.
  • There is a huger training curve. It is not intuitive to use and not user-friendly.
I wouldn't recommend it to a small business. It is overly difficult to use and not user-friendly. You cannot intuitively figure out how to run payroll or correct payroll. Need support from customer service for anything out of the ordinary. Also, the webpage runs really slow on a fast internet connection. It takes too long to load pages and takes too many pages to run payroll or do anything else.

We use ADP Workforce Now to process payroll for all our employees and to track sick days and vacation time. Records are kept on each employee's profile, too.
  • Able to process large numbers of employees
  • Will work with you to create most of what is needed for your specific company
  • Some features move on the screen (would be better to remain in same spot across all companies or employees)
  • During start & end times (8am-5pm) the time clock on home page tends to disappear.
ADP Workforce Now can handle large payrolls with ease. But I feel some of the steps are not uniform across the board. One department may set something up one way while another might set it up in a different way.

We use ADP Workforce Now for payroll processing across three company codes, for our entire organization. We access payroll records for HRIS and benefits information as well.
  • Tax filing services ensure worry-free submission of all tax withholdings and state/federal reporting
  • Reporting tools and processing reports through iReports
  • Better customer service representative training is needed. Sometimes a rep does not sound confident in their answer, and I need to call back and confirm with someone else.
  • Integration with ADP 401k services could use improvement. When we transitioned to a new administrator, the deconversion process was not handled in an efficient manner.
ADP Workforce Now ensures that our weekly payroll processing is conducted efficiently, without worry that direct deposits will go through as scheduled.

  • It's modern-looking to the end user.
  • It's fairly user friendly for the end user.
  • Reporting is not always easy to navigate. Fields can be very difficult to find & existing reports cannot be edited to the extent needed.
  • Customer service. You can be on hold for extremely long periods of time.
ADP is attractive to the end user's eye. The templates that they navigate are fairly simple and easy to get through alone. ADP WFN may work well for a very small, simple structured company without a lot of need for custom fields. While they're always making improvements, some of the issues are very simple and it doesn't make sense as to why they are issues to begin with. ADP WFN was a modern step up from our prior HRIS, but it's more complicated behind the scenes than it should be.

Our whole organization uses ADP Workforce Now. We use it for HRIS, payroll, & time keeping.
  • Dedicated service reps: Our dedicated service reps for both payroll & benefits are amazing!
  • I wish that we had a dedicated service rep for Enterprise. We struggle every time I call to find someone who understands our processes.
  • The mobile app doesn't seem to have any support. When I call regarding issues on the mobile app, neither ADP Workforce Now nor Enterprise claims responsibility, and I bounce around between departments trying to figure out the issues.
ADP Workforce Now is great for payroll purposes. I think that the HR/benefits side of the program could use some help. We often have company/position changes, and it's a struggle to enter that information. The product has come a long way in recent years, but there is still work that can be done to improve it.
