What is Uptempo?

Uptempo is enterprise marketing planning software that combines marketing campaign planning, financial management, and work management to create a single marketing system of record.

This integrated platform is designed to give marketing teams insights and agility. Teams can collaboratively work together on every stage of the marketing process. Executives can connect performance data to initial plans and goals, and when necessary, shift strategies and re-allocate budget and teams to better performing programs.

Uptempo’s product suite is used by marketers at enterprises that include Autodesk, Best Buy, Daimler, Deutsche Bank, SC Johnson, and Unilever.

The main use cases of the Uptempo solution include:

Marketing Campaign Planning & Performance
Uptempo’s campaign planning and performance module lets marketers set goals and use predictive performance insights to build campaign plans that will achieve them. They can then create campaign briefs, calendar activities, allocate funds, and kick off creative work. Once campaigns are in-market, marketers can track spending, measure results, and quickly pivot adaptive plans in real time in response to changing market dynamics and customer preferences.

Marketing Financial Management
Uptempo financial management gives marketing teams complete control of marketing spend without hours of manual reconciliation. It helps marketers achieve greater impact from marketing investments through increased visibility into cost, streamlined processes, automated reconciliation, performance reporting, and the ability to quickly pivot budgets in real-time.

Marketing Work Management
Uptempo work management expedites internal content review and approval processes with workflow automation. Teams can move faster to initiate, revise, and complete work in a single system. Marketing leaders get visibility into what is being worked on, while balancing available resources to meet project requirements. We use Allocadia for the marketing team to manage all of our budgets and forecast expenses. We use it as an additional step from the main accounting package that corp finance uses because we need to get more granular with our expense tracking for mROI. It has helped us quickly gain insight into the broader marketing spend as well as calculate various levels of marketing ROI (segment, category, campaign, vendor, etc.)
  • Easy to use
  • Excellent customer support
  • Product development is accessible for product enhancement ideas
  • Not really at fault of Allocadia, but my marketing users have many different programs that they are using in addition, which makes things complicated. (ie. Project management tool for managing projects and workload, Allocadia, for building the budget, marketing automation for building campaigns, Salesforce for tracking campaigns, etc....)
Great for companies that have been using spreadsheets in the past or had used another budgeting system that was very basic and want to be able to do a more detailed analysis of their data.
  • Increased marketing process efficiency
  • Ability to generate reports for finance faster
Allocadia was much easier to use and did calculations for us that we had to do on our own in MarcomCentral.
Easy to use and allows you to track just about anything that's important to your business.
  • Entering your month to month forecast, plan data
  • Moving money from one month to another
  • Importing new budgets
  • Truing up actuals can be tricky, but it's manageable once you figure out what works for your company
