We use AlphaSense for our diligence process. This includes reviewing historical company transcripts and any/all relevant expert calls. We believe AlphaSense allows us to efficiently search public records of each company we want to understand.
  • Speedy/availability of customer service
  • Customization of interface
Cons
  • Some indication of broker research or public records that we may not have access to currently, but could enable. This helps to ID what information we could be missing
Well suited to quickly get up to speed on a stock or identify where and at what time certain comments made by mgmt were said. Less suited for daily newsflow.

We primarily leverage AlphaSense to review our responses to Medicaid bids as well as our competitors.
  • Easy to use search
  • Easy to use notes for recording insights
  • Generally intuitive platform
When we are doing research on a state or capability I always recommend starting with leveraging AlphaSense to understand our capabilities as well as that of competitors.

Wouldn't consider not having it

Keep track of analyst reports for competitor companies as well as other publications.
  • Searches efficiently for key words about competing companies.
  • Provides easy access to analyst reports.
  • Makes review of large documents easy.
Cons
  • Downloading large documents is sometimes clunky.
  • Retrieving already downloaded documents is not easy.
More appropriate for looking for key commentary about a particular subject one is searching for. Not suited to provide a wholistic view of analyst models, as it just throws out some and sometimes you don't have any idea what others are out there that it is not capturing (so you might have a biased view).

Great for financial analysis, not so much for technical analysis

I use AlphaSense for competitive research and keep track of current happenings in our industry. The product makes it easy for me to track multiple competitor news from multiple sources within a single platform that is AI based and smart enough to actually search more than what I ask for. Saves a ton of my time!
  • Smart summaries
  • Search for words that could mean the same as the search words
  • Patent filing news
Cons
  • Would be nice to have social media as news sources.
  • Have more technical analyst reports and not just limited to financial reports.
  • Email alerts could have a rating option to rate it's usefulness/accuracy
AlphaSense is more appropriate for financial analyst and those involved in investments. It is less technical oriented. Having the Patent filing feature is handy to keep track of companies filing patents. I use it a lot for summaries by financial analysts after trade shows. The AlphaSense team does a great job of helping us understand the platform through regular follow up calls.

AlphaSense forms one of my essential daily reads. I am easy able to home in on relevant content through the intuitive platform. It is a valuable tool in facilitating the most appropriate informed decisions.

To support the organization in making the most appropriate decisions and investments in drug discovery and development.
  • Highlight relevant pieces of information efficiently.
  • Coverage of our peer's investor calls.
  • Responsive help desk and customer support.
  • Updates on enhancements.
Cons
  • The best way to search a topic- often no results surface when I think there should be results.
  • Source inclusion when searching- I think white boxes are indicative of inclusion?
Analysts' reports are particularly useful. These opinions assist in generating objective opinions and insights. Less apt- Regulatory catalysts- upcoming adcoms.
