Alteryx is easier to use and has a lot more advanced analytics capabilities.

Alteryx has more options and functionality compared to Tableau Prep. It has hands down changed our operation workflows.

Alteryx is way better than Microsoft Excel. It visually lets you do things to the data, one tool at a time. And, you can just delete the tool if it did not do what you were wanting it to do. Excel is a nice app, but Alteryx expands the capability so much more, especially when combining different data sources.

Alteryx bar far and away blows the competition out of the water. It is super easy to pick up and learn and it is so powerful. Other systems I have used are complicated and clunky often giving errors. Alteryx has made my life as a data analyst so much easier.

Alteryx serves as a complementary product, performing all the data wrangling for the likes of Tableau Desktop and Microsoft PowerBI for visualization. Microsoft Excel serves as an easier means of automation for tasks that previously would have involved a lot of manual intervention.

Alteryx worked 'out-of-the-box' without needing our IT team to provide setup or engineering. The data connections are included and functional with ease. No other drivers are needed. The support team at Alteryx is second-to-none, including the fabulous Alteryx Community. The Gallery/Server is a must-have for scheduling and makes it a breeze to control data access. Alteryx provides a great deal of analytics breadth to solve almost all of our use cases. Many of the platforms we reviewed only solved a small portion of our use cases.

Alteryx connects to other data sources easily. It allows you to email from the tool and you can use the predictive analytic features.

Alteryx is 100x easier to use for every business user compared to KNIME. KNIME is a great tool for data scientists and programmers, but our business users had a hard time adapting to it. The ease of use of Alteryx is just superior and even my boss is able to build and read workflows that I or others have build.

The development environment for Alteryx is much more intuitive and provides a much quicker learning curve compared to KNIME, additionally, the User Community from Alteryx may be its biggest competitive advantage. They have invested heavily in the User Community and now it is a self-sustaining entity that is a terrific resource for any level Alteryx user.

Alteryx is feature-rich and allows our team to blend multiple data sources and types together with ease. We are able to really speed through workflow development while strengthening the quality of the output. I would say that Alteryx is able to outdo the other products in the areas of speed of development, quality of output, and ease of scale. The continued releases of additional add-on products to Alteryx Designer allows us to continue into new areas (essentially no ceiling to our growth).

Alteryx can do all that these can do but at the highest standard, it is a master of all trades. It also comes with a fantastic community to help you develop your skills, a great academy to teach new users the fundamentals, and faster development of new products based on emerging trends

Alteryx data blending concept is more intuitive and more user-friendly. It allows us to change data type or simple column order in seconds instead of minutes in other tools. Functions like Cross Tab or Transpose work quickly and very efficiently in terms of final results. Additionally prepared data might be distributed as data source, complete report, or just email notification. Outputs functionality and options of saving files are very comprehensive and useful for users.

BI/BO is resource-intensive, slow, difficult to ad-hoc, and overall nowhere near the flexibility of Alteryx.

Alteryx stacks up beautifully. I have found it to be much more intuitive, and have a much more active community than the other platforms listed. This makes it incredibly easy to run into an issue, and overcome it.

The two listed are the closest to having an Alteryx-like functionality, with Knime being the better offering of the two. Neither comes close to the breadth of functionality available in Alteryx.
Knime has a very good predictive analytics offering, but to get to the point where you can use them, I would recommend Alteryx, which then makes it pointless having Knime as you would use the automated machine learning capabilities in Alteryx.
Talend lacked the functionality and is clearly aimed at a more technical audience.

JMP has many of the features of Alteryx, but when I last used it, it did not compete on price or ETL functionality. (this was 5 years ago, so your mileage may vary). If you are SAS based shop, this is an excellent tool.

Alteryx is much faster, at least when comparing Designer to KNIME desktop.

Alteryx is basically a packaged version of Excel, which potentially less functionality but much 1) easier to learn and 2) greater power to process larger datasets.

Alteryx is much more repeatable, accurate, and reliable. It also is more efficient and loads faster than excel transformations.

It is one of the best data wrangling tools, very good capability in data analytics and integration.

They are like Alteryx, but they are not Alteryx.
KNIME is free but facing and causes more confusion.
Tableau Prep can do some work but [is] not as powerful as Alteryx, and Prep is not free.

Alteryx was faster in processing the data and had more user-friendly tools to automate the reporting function.

Alteryx has good integration capabilities and serves better for the purpose to connect with other tools in the enterprise and provide data security.
