Quick results: initial Alteryx workflow development has a very low learning curve. I was able to quickly get up-to-speed using the free online training resources.

Macros and server use can be challenging. But those are advanced topics.

I learned Alteryx quickly on my own, using the free online training resources like Learning Paths and Interactive Lessons. And the Alteryx Community is a great resource for specific workflow development questions. Within a few hours after first opening Alteryx, I was able to complete basic data wrangling tasks, and share output with other employees using Excel, for further analysis.

The Alteryx support team has always been extremely helpful.

Basic data wrangling tasks are extremely easy.
Macros can be challenging.
Easy output to Excel could be better.
Server use, and migration to production, require experience to master.

Individual analysts can quickly generate results using their own copy of Alteryx Designer. But using the Server and developing macros for more complex needs can be time consuming.

Alteryx has very few bugs. The software is well-designed and well-tested before release.

Alteryx provides users with the ability to solve ANY data-related use case they might have, with a very easy-to-use drag and drop interface. Also, if you're are a tech-savvy user, Alteryx allows you to incorporate Python, R, or Scala code into your workflows, which makes the use cases you can tackle with it infinitely.

Alteryx makes data operations so easy. With a drag & drop UI, you can apply complex data manipulation rules with a couple of clicks, no code required.

Alteryx focuses a lot on providing enablement and support to their users, directly or via partners.
Alteryx has one of the best user communities I ever see.

Please, review your government policies and permission policies. Security relies on them (not on Alteryx)

Maybe it need some customizations (to improve productivity even more), but overall is great.

Alteryx can scale horizontally or vertically (or both) if you need

It's rare that Alteryx is not available, and most of the time is because of a user publishing some bad workflows (that maybe take all the resources in the server)

Alteryx processes data very fast, regardless of the volume.

Alteryx was experiencing a lot of growth and canges. That's the only thing that makes me lowering the score a little bit.

Straightforward relationship, constant support, CSMs to assure the Customer success journey

Great for working with huge sets of data (and small sets too). Very well suited for geographic and data analysis. Fantastic for combining data from multiple sources into one and writing data and reports out to Excel, PowerPoint, Access, text files and even several GIS platforms. It is easy to write out data to multiple files/slides/databases (and I'm talking thousands of files if necessary). Can produce great looking maps when the time is put in. This program would not be appropriate for companies with only small datasets. The program can be expensive but I understand that they recently tiered their products at different price levels.

Alteryx has become integral to my job and to the expectation of upper management. They have now become accustomed to the lightening quick turnaround that Alteryx can provide. Not renewing Alteryx would take our department, and me, back to what would seem like the dark ages. Additionally, Alteryx (the company) is very aggressive in improving and upgrading Alteryx (the program) on a continual basis. It is very clear that they are in constant search for new features, capabilities and improvements. They do not rest on their laurels.

There is really not much to it (the installation, that is). Once you get it installed, along with any of the add-ons (demographics, R, etc.), you are up and running almost immediately. There is really no additional setup. You can immediately begin blending data, running demographics, performing spatial queries, running predictive analysis, etc. And for many of these functions, the learning curve is quite easy.

They are very friendly, very responsive and very knowledgeable.

Incredibly easy to work with, flexible and practically flawless.

I use many programs and compared to others, Alteryx virtually never goes down, freezes up or gives an application error. Over a 4 year time period that I have used this program, any of these may have happened 3 times. It is an incredibly stable program that I feel completely confident in.
