Access control is quite standard across other AWS services. Sharing of data could be also relied on other services like S3 bucket, IoT events and elasticserach. We have not extensively configured for report distribution and would not have extensive evaluation on that.

The access control and permission granting has gotten better than when first released, but is still lacking in my areas like access controls, sharing across teams and report delivery. We have decided to use other tools to do these functions, and rather use this as a BI tool of convenience rather than an enterprise tool.

There are many members across my organization that use the QuickSight reports throughout each business day. There are various reports built for various departments as well as reports that cross over to all departments. There have not been any issues across the various departments with viewing the reports and using unique filters to look at the reports differently. Our IT department is the only department within the organization that has the necessary permissions to create new reports and/or make changes to existing reports.

Very very limited functionality when looking at sharing of the reports, users need to be part of QuickSight. No customized distribution and security functionalities are available.
