By enabling us to track accurate data and then pull that data into a report, Apricot has made it possible for us to present that information to potential donors and/or funders and not only show the need for the services we provide, but also the effectiveness of our staff and our use of the funds we currently have.

With such a detailed database we were able to create more detailed reports and queries to view the long term affects of our programs. With having been with Social Solutions for a long period our information can be better separated and viewed to see which services are providing the most affects so that we can invest more into similar programs. We can also view which neighborhoods are getting the most assistance to that we can have better tools in place for them in the future.

One of the key ways we use Apricot is to track client outcomes. Funders are focusing more and more on quantitative measures for client outcomes in grant requests. We were able to design Forms that track training goals when they are set and when they are achieved. This allows us to report to funders, quantitatively, what percentage of goals individual clients achieve and what clients achieve overall. We have had funders tell us how much they appreciate our outcomes reporting.

Our grantors are very pleased when they see the secure and confidential record keeping that Apricot provides. The monthly and quarterly reports generated by Apricot make the reporting requirements easier to meet. We are able to administer more grants and apply for more grant funding, with the data we can collect.

I imagine some agencies are able to use the templates and forms to get the reports to secure funding, but for organizations using the system for more robust services, this system does not meet the mark. Truthfully, I am fearful that I will now have to return money to funders due to the unresolved issues with the support team.

Yes, we have been able to increase the number of grants we can apply for due to the data being available to show the justification for those grants. Our donor funding has increased dramatically due to being able document our service data.

Apricot [by Social Solutions] has given us greater ability to measure the success of our organization with raw data and statistics required for most grant applications. Our grant-writers are able to ask me for any specific numbers/totals that they need and I am able to quickly run a report and filter our data down to provide them the numbers they need by date, group, etc. Our comprehensive data collection allows to examine our annual impact to predict future budget needs quite accurately. In our annual appeal letters, we are able to share, in great detail, exactly what levels of funding are needed for specific areas of our organization.

This organization derives major reimbursement funding from state government support, with additional support from private funders. It is our desire to secure additional renewal funding from current private funders, in addition to newly-secured grants. Apricot has already provided our executives and directors with graph-enhanced reports (with very specific drilled-down data), presented to current funders who desired efforts-to-outcomes for our clients concerning their entries in our programs, graduation records, and employment histories. We were also able to further drill down high school data upon the funder's request. We are awaiting pending renewal of funding.

At the end of 2018, for the first time we had aggregate data from an organizational standpoint. We have recently used that reporting to apply for funding but it is too early to tell if it has had an impact.

Apricot has allowed us to collect data through reports that we can use in grants to request funding from current and potential donors. For example, in a recent grant request, we provided the funder with the number of days clients spend on our waiting list for Safe at Home repairs averaged through the past fiscal year. We presented them with a goal of shortening this waiting list time as the need for increased funding.

I don't think we have identified a direct correlation, but Apricot has definitely made responding to our funders much easier. We can provide fast metrics when we are looking for grant opportunities. In addition to that, we are more efficient at managing the number of participants that we have and can increase or decrease the number to meet program goals.

This is not something that Apricot has had any effect on. Our funding streams come straight out of the state agencies that we are contracted with and are not tied to Apricot. We do however anticipate that once we are able to report on treatment success measures and share that data it may increase our referrals.
