  • The data that is tracked can be changed as the information needed for grants changes or expands.
  • This database works extremely well to track the data needed to show a client's improvement and prove the money was well spent.
  • We would not be as effective with outcomes if we used a simple spreadsheet.

  • Apricot is the first central database that my organization used, and it has transformed our ability to track and monitor program outcomes, thus transforming the relationship that our programs have with data.
  • It has greatly eased the process of reporting to funders and has enabled us to process data into more complex and powerful analytics, which has coincided with increases in grant revenue year over year.
  • Apricot has enabled more staff in direct service program positions to access and manage their data, thus defraying the effort placed on data management or Quality Assurance staff.

  • We are better able to track household income for the clients we serve. This is almost always requested in grant applications.
  • Employees are able to work from home if needed because it is cloud-based software. This was not possible with our old database system, which was server based.

  • It has enabled our organization to include concrete data in narratives, reports, and grant applications.
  • Different departments in the org now have a better picture of the work being done by the org as a whole. There is still some work to be done in this area, but overall there has been a big improvement in reducing the impact of siloed teams.
  • We now have the ability to use data to inform internal program evaluation and iteration.

  • No positive ROI yet. Thus far it has cost us a lot of extra time and money without much ROI. It's been hard to run reports and we could have done these on excel sheets. We are thinking about going back to using other methods of tracking due to the high cost of the software and training costs. Still undecided

  • We have applied for and received two grants that require monthly reports and those are done very quickly now (under an hour to do both) It was also easier to apply for the grants because of it
  • We are able to measure the success of our Google Ads that we implemented

  • We are able to see what tasks we haven't done and what clients haven't been followed up with properly because of it. Whereas most clients wouldn't have been followed up with properly in the past.
