Arena has the option of Live Online Training, whereas Anylogic does not. Also, Arena is overall easier to use and thus better suited for an organization with users of a wide variety of skill sets and technology aptitude (better for large organizations).
Anylogic carries several benefits over Arena, however, including support for Mac and SaaS platforms (Arena only supports Windows) and more features, better design, and higher quality support.

Arena Review
Arena has a much more user-friendly interface than Global Shop. I have also found through personal experience that Global Shop is clunky to use and Arena, by contrast, is a robust, lightweight solution that is easily accessed from anywhere in the world since it is a web browser-based.

An AREnA with no conflict
Arena is definitely better than Agile. I have used Agile for over two years and was always frustrated with the user interface, capabilities, and look.

Arena gets the job done with a nice, new UI
- Arena is leagues and leagues better than MasterControl. When I used MasterControl, it was out of date, slow, and challenging to navigate. Most navigation was not intuitive. Arena has a much better user interface.
- My experience with Arena is roughly on par with Agile, with Agile being preferable. Links between documents were undeniable, and that made my use much easier since I was trying to change many related documents.
I have used Agile PLM with Oracle and had an excellent experience with Agile. Provides good control and configuration control / site management as well.

Quick learning curve & easy on-boarding process!
Arena is much more straight forward than other doc control platforms I've used in terms of ease of use and ease of search. The naming conventions of the item categories, as well as the change processes are clear and intuitive should a revision need to be made. In previous systems I've used, there was a grey area between "files" and "items" which caused issues when revising an uploading new versions of documents. Additionally, I like that the document revisions and history is able to be searched fairly easily.

Join the vast world of Arena
I've used a couple of other systems similar to Arena. I would say Arena stacks favorably against them. Arena seems to have a lot more functions and features and can be more powerful if used to its full potential. However, my experience with Arena is still less than I had with the other systems, so my whole rationale is incomplete.

Arena is the future!
I would say Arena is a better tool to store important files. Arena is also more user-friendly than the other products I have used in the past. Arena is also great at creating new item numbers for specific products depending on the company's item number convention. Arena also has the ability to be customized to any company's needs.

Arena: Highly useful, if somewhat limited
These two products are extremely similar. Agile has better integration with certain systems, like JDE Enterprise One and is more rigid in terms of entering information.

Arena from a daily user
Upchain is great for cloud deployment, built-in workflow management, and project dashboards. However, we chose Arena because it is the best at integrating with our ERP system. Arena allows for auto-integration for our ERP system, meaning once changes are approved they are automatically pushed into our system and we can start working immediately. There is no downtime for our growing business.
We actually have both platforms due to different usage from various department.

PLM that you can tackle yourself!
Arena is only a PLM solution, so if you need PDM + PLM, look elsewhere. Or use a separate PDM to your PLM system. Large companies with complex products may find this an issue, but if you can streamline your PLM use Arena could be a good fit. Once you get past that decision, the differences between products become more straightforward to assess.

For most Quality processes and BOM management, Arena is the best in the arena; very willing to improve where necessary
