Articulate Storyline

It's a nice, clean interface and it works really well in our LMS. You can't ask for more than that.

Overall the ease of use is one of its endearing qualities. You can open the program, start a new project and get going regardless of your expertise with it. If you have ever created a presentation of any kind you can get going with Storyline on day 1 the first time you open it.

I enjoy the flexibility and customization that is available within Articulate Storyline. I do find that sometimes a little more automation would also be more convenient.

It's simply a breeze to use. I've never had a problem with it.

The basics are easy to learn but you won't get really robust activities from using just the basics. However, if you can invest the time in learning how to use all of Storyline's features, you'll have tremendous learning development power at your fingertips. I do have to say, though, that there is a beautiful logic to how everything in Storyline works. Once you learn a few of the advanced features, you can learn them all because there's a similar underlying logic. The interface is also very appealing and friendly.

It does what we need it to. We create computer based learning and occasionally have someone use the tool via a tablet. It works great for that! If you were going to use it on a smartphone, I am not sure it would be the best choice. Since most formal eLearning courses are better suited to a larger screen then I would rate it highly every time.

There are some quirks around video editing and replaying audio that makes it feel a little clunky. It is easy to get around this but it slows the application down A LOT, especially when editing a video spread over a number of screens.

It is so darned easy to use - you just install and start developing. Virtually no learning curve.

This is by far the most accessible product for creating eLearning. A new user can become quite competent in using Articulate in a short period of time and become proficient in less than a year. I imagine that becoming an expert may take two years or more of consistent use, but even that is a short period of time.

Articulate Storyline 2 is an all inclusive eLearning authoring tool. It allows you to create basic courses with video/audio/powerpoints to interactive immersive 'pull' learning. The 'Best in Show' of authoring tools!!!

I've never worked with a more intuitive and powerful tool.

I've worked with people that have literally never designed eLearning before, and showing them a few things in Articulate Storyline has changed their world. They have gone from paper-based ILT only designers to the "total package" with very little need for instruction or support. I've never seen that happen with the other options on the market.
