For a small organization that looks for flexible easy to navigate software, you might be better off with a different value for money provider.

Asana is well suited to managing a small team when email reminders are helpful. It is very easy to learn even with no tech background. It is not appropriate for tracking time. I am using the free version, so [I] do not have all of the available features at this time.

Asana is well-suited for companies with deep pockets who don't mind being nickel-and-dimed. If you need to add 1 extra user to your account -- you can't. They will charge you for either 10 extra users or 25 extra users, depending on your company size. And they don't disclose this pricing up front. If you dislike these kinds of "gotchas" and deceptive pricing, then you should look elsewhere for another solution. No matter how great the software is, if you don't like or trust the vendor you're working with, it's not going to be a good fit.

Asana is a great application for your project management. It provides delightful features like a task scheduler, free mail notifications, unlimited teams, messaging, activity logs, file storage, and much more. It has a great dashboard with a better interface that is easy to understand and provides us with a faster way of doing project management. I recommend this product for all companies that use the agile development process.

I would undeniably recommend Asana to another colleague. In fact, I already have a number of times and a few of them are now on Asana. It's not only a great way to consolidate all your sticky notes, bullet journal lists and anything else you're using into one, but it's digital! Being able to use the mobile app when I'm in meetings to add tasks for myself or others, add details in the task description or reassign to other staff members in real time is invaluable! Such a time saver and by far, my favorite software that I use on a regular basis!

The program works really well for general task management on an individual level. If you are looking for something that can organize tasks and flow between mobile and desktop, Asana is a great tool.

Asana shines in team collaboration when trying to organize tasks and streamline communication among multiple users.

Asana is a great tool for simple tasks, but only for simple ones. But, don't forget that most of the tasks are usually simple. So, Asana can be used as a great personal task management system, online agenda for meetings, simple tasks allocation tool and even an easy to use management tool for simple projects. One of the main advantages of Asana is the ease of use, so even if it is not perfect anyone can use it, and if you use any management tool it is much better than nothing.

I believe for a new user it would be great to start with one, relatively small, project with a maximum of 3 collaborators. This would allow a quick tutorial or two to get them going and get good value from the platform. If the individuals liked the experience, then Asana would really be useful in taking on a larger project or even a few projects in parallel.

Asana is best suited for management of a project and all it's tasks from inception all the way through to completion. While Tasks allow for comments and conversation between team members, we found that it's best to still use other tools (like Slack) for regular communication and collaboration between team members.

Asana is pretty great, and works well for my needs of keeping track of my To Do List. I have used it as a solo entrepreneur for over four years, and plan to continue doing so. And though I typically work alone, I have utilized interns in the past, and it was very easy to assign tasks to them and communicate about projects within the app. My own tasks also were kept private from the interns, which is good because I also have some personal tasks on there. I think teams could work well with it, too. It's great to assign items to various people. But I'm also aware there are a number of features I don't use, so it might get kind of complicated.

Asana is well suited for companies with experienced project managers and clients that are used to using a PM tool like this. Others can learn and do well, but it did take a little bit of time and training for us to fully utilize the tool.

Asana is definitely a useful and top-of-the-line collaboration tool. It has all of the basic features plus the capability for advancements if you have an Asana Pro on the team. We mainly use it for Creative team requests across the company which has been very helpful.

Asana is great for organization across a team or across a project since its UI is much better and easier to use than more complicated project planning interfaces and project management software. It’s less well suited to manage projects across an organization since it doesn’t handle budgets or integrate with things like Microsoft project as well so it’s strength are more towards project vs portfolio management.

For small businesses [Asana] is a very mature and developed project management system which is free. It doesn't feel overwhelming when you first start out and there are good tutorials on the site to understand the concepts. Once the business is larger you move to a paid plan which unlocks some important features like gantt charts and setting start date for tasks.

I have found that Asana works the best for me when using it for reoccurring checklists for onboarding and offboarding of team members. I also like to use it for reoccurring weekly, monthly, and yearly tasks so that I do not forget about them. Since the boards can be easily duplicated, I can efficiently duplicate and add or subtract items to make them relevant for the next year.

All your tasks and activities [are] gathered in one place. I like the scenario with reporting for the period. You just set some filters like "tasks completed in the previous month" and you have all those.
I also find it very useful to see the calendar and all the tasks showed in it divided by deadlines.

It would work well for any team that has projects with multiple steps that need to be coordinated across different players. My team does not use the platform as much as I would like because it's an extra step that they have to take before they can get work done. It is very customizable, so the lists and projects can be tailored to your specific needs. There are also a variety of views so you can change the way the tasks are displayed to you to fit your personal needs while still working together as a team.

ASANA is great where you have no other solution in place for project or task management, it is easy to train and on board staff. However, if you currently have other software with integrations with your main software suite then adding ASANA on the side to manage a particular thing would not be advised.

ASANA is good for office teams who need to delegate important tasks to each other while also keeping track of their own tasks, this also works well with on road members of your team who might not be in the office every day.

I would recommend Asana due to its ease of use to get up and running quickly to facilitate project management, task management and the ability to customize and adapt the solution using templates to meet specific scenarios. It is not cost prohibitive and I believe it is a tool small teams can use to get the job done efficiently and effectively.
