Ascentis - Life saver!
- By far, fewer errors in capturing information or giving information
- Easily see what benefits an employee has enrolled or declined and historical information
- Easily see what compensation an employee has had historical, or where their compensation is at currently
- Easily see what positions an employee has had within the company for how long, and why they were transferred
- Makes onboarding new staff much more efficient and simplified - vs paper forms
- Allowed less time to be spent on maintaining HR files and documentation - puts ownership of some of that back to the employees
- Saved on payroll processing time due to the linkage between our payroll provider and Ascentis HR.
Ascentis review
- The first client I referred wasn't too happy with the amount of time the implementation calls took. I wouldn't say it had a negative impact on ROI but it reflected badly on us after talking up the services.
Overall a great product
- Helps us handle candidates more efficiently and comply with government regulations.
- Helps us monitor employee performance and progress.
- Helps employees see and control their information in ESS and helps managers monitor their teams.
Ascentis - The efficient Tool
- Switching to Non-Exempt colleagues, Ascentis has helped us save payroll, but documenting in an out and paying for time logged in versus salary really started to create saving across the board.
New to Ascentis
- Streamlined onboarding so we can spend more value-added time with new hires.
- I'm afraid the timekeeping system will have a negative impact on our employee engagement and the internal customer service we provide.
- We were sold a product that was cloud-based - it is not cloud-based and is only accessible via remote desktop
- Tabs are insane because everything "is hardcoded"
- Hard to use - managers refuse to use for reviews again - cumbersome and not customizable for our needs
- In my humble opinion, the product was oversold and under delivered
HR & Employee Satisfaction with HRIS!
- It has saved a lot of time for our benefits administrator who now has time to focus on more strategic initiatives.
- It has saved us money by us eliminating separate software for recruiting and ACA reporting.
- It will allow us to have online performance reviews and tracking. We have not yet rolled this out but we have excitement from our employees for this process and we hope will be a win for our internal brand and be a big time saver for our employee population.
Ascentis HR Review
- Ascentis is a good ATS Recruitment system. Candidates are able to apply online with easy and the recruiter is able to manage candidates and post jobs to the company's website as well as across different vendors.
- The problem we encountered on our website is that when a candidate clicks on notify me when there is a new opening it leaves the iframe and routes the candidate to a appone.com website which seems like the candidate has left and has been re-routed to go somewhere else. With everything happening today with fraudulent websites; this makes it seem like the candidate is going to a non authentic website. This should be improved so that anything that a candidate clicks on never leaves the iframe and always stays within the company website.
Ascentis - Take it or Leave it
- Carrier Connections decreased the number of human error when inputting benefits.
- ACA is incredibly easy and takes little time to complete.
Not Up to Snuff
- It's a hard system to manage and takes too many hands.
- Although the price is reasonable, Ascentis management was unwilling to work with us in a difficult time for our organization, and they were inflexible with subscription options.
Good product for small to mid-size company
- Priced competitively when marketed
- Additional ROI would be realized once we enable more modules
Ascentis Review
- It helped us go from being a small seasonal employer to a medium sized employer, open year round.
- It was a hard transition for managers and employees because it was not as user friendly as we had hoped. We have to use a lot of work arounds. Once we were able to get past the initial problems and find the work arounds, it helped to get other employees on the same page.
Ascentis HR Streamlines and Organizes
- We are still working on the ROI calculation as it hasn't been a year yet
- The initial investment will show a negative ROI, but it's believed that once they system is fully implemented and the staff is over the learning curve the ROI will be seen.

- Brought us from paper open enrollment for benefits to online self-service (time and cost saving).
- Eliminated dependency on HR to update employee info. Self-service very helpful when you are a small department.
- Created platform for us to implement an easy-to-use consistent Performance Management system.
Ascentis Experience
- Not much, lots of re-work because of lack of automation and all employee information must be entered manually.
Disappointed in this HRIS
- Negative- this process of implementation has taken far more time than we expected and we are still not done.
- We had hoped that having a one-stop-shop type HRIS would allow us the ability to spend more time doing other things but instead, we are still having weekly meetings, trying to solve issues with the system, get responses to our questions, etc.
- We went live with Recruiting in February and we are still working out the kinks with the offer letter, etc.
Got Ascentis!
- Our company wanted to raise performance management to the next level and have real time communication. Ascentis has allowed us to keep in contact with employees, store employee accomplishments, kudos from co-workers, and a single source to store employee data.

- Huge time saver for us as we can look up EE current and past history quickly without having to dig through files
