We use Avast CloudCare for End Point Security over multiple business' & home users. We place a password on it so customers can't uninstall it or virus'.
  • Keeps the anti-virus up to date.
  • Daily reporting.
  • Remote tools like RDP.
  • The base web portal as it is going away at the end of the year.
  • Tech help is very lacking.
  • Several times computers lost the AV and had to be reinstalled.
Avast CloudCare is great when it comes to ease of installation and GUI. Working inside the web portal is pretty self-intuitive. Some of the issues revolve around computers coming up missing from the portal or from computer jumping sites.
  • Ease of installation.
  • GUI for daily interface is easy to understand.
  • Reporting of sites.
  • Avast CloudCare has stopped one of our customers for downloading a virus.
  • Reporting on immediate threats so we could deal with the issue before it infected the network.
  • Was alerted of an issue and was able to set a full scan on the entire network with one function.
Avast CloudCare is less of a memory hog than several other vendors like Norton or Trend. The ease of deployment for 1 or 100 computers is so simple and straightforward.

We use this as the Antivirus program for all our clients, and as a form of cloud backup for some of our clients.
  • Virus alerts
  • webshield
  • backup services
  • threat protection
  • reporting on failed backup
  • duplicate reporting
  • false positives
Very easy to push updates to all users, scan all pcs in a business, and visually see if a pc is not up to the latest virus updates.
  • virus protection
  • ease of use
  • simple deployment to new users
  • site by site configuration
  • Positive: we have our customers supported better than ever
  • Negative: But not really, we have lost billable time due to our customers having [fewer] virus infections than ever before.
  • We had one incident where we had to credit a customer because the backup failed and did not report correctly and the customer lost some data.
We used to use Norton AV exclusively for all our business and home users, but it got to where it was using a lot of system resources and would slow down some computers. We selected Avast cloud care since it was a lighter weight program and provided great results as far as protection.
