Users of this software have found it invaluable for consolidating notes from multiple managers in real-time, saving them time and ensuring that all departments are aligned. Its ability to insert day-to-day operational information and generate reports has been highly praised by users, allowing them to analyze the impact of holiday weeks on sales and item changes. The software's accessibility to restaurant data anytime and anywhere has enabled live checks and orders, financial reporting comparisons, as well as tracking item popularity and server usage. Users have also appreciated the more immediate and organized communication facilitated by the software, reducing the need for multiple emails and texts. From a reporting, sales analysis, and evaluation standpoint, this software has proven to be a valuable tool. F&B outlets have utilized it to analyze sales, identify top-performing and underperforming items or staff, while also being able to drill down into individual receipts for improved customer satisfaction and resolving credit card charge disputes. Moreover, it has provided valuable insights for marketing purposes, helping users track promotion effectiveness and identify optimal times for promotions, as well as providing insights into sales trends. The software offers comprehensive tracking capabilities for daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly sales, alongside server check averages and tip percentages. Additionally, its daily logbook feature supports effective communication between managers and back-office staff. With an easy-to-use customer dashboard and internal metric tracking tool, users can efficiently manage their accounts while accessing real-time data on service performance. Overall, this software has proven to be an essential tool for streamlining operations, improving communication, analyzing sales data, optimizing promotions, and enhancing customer satisfaction in various F&B establishments.

Beneficial Report Feature: Several users have found the report feature in the product to be very beneficial for their business. They appreciate receiving important information directly to their email, which helps them make informed decisions.

Convenient Mobile App: Many users appreciate the convenience of having a mobile app for a logbook. This allows them to access and use the product even when they are not at their desk, making it easier for them to stay organized and manage their restaurant operations.

Ease of Use: The ease of use is consistently mentioned as one of the best aspects of the product. Users find the navigation through side bars, drop downs, and reports intuitive and straightforward. This user-friendly interface saves time and eliminates any confusion when accessing data or generating reports.

Lagging Issues and Notes Not Saving Automatically: Some users have experienced lagging issues while using the app, which has been a source of frustration for them. Additionally, they have noted that their notes do not save automatically if they accidentally scroll away from them, leading to potential data loss.

Absence of Pre-made Dashboards and Templates: Several reviewers have expressed disappointment with the absence of pre-made dashboards in the software. They feel that having ready-to-use dashboards would greatly help them in curating relevant information without having to start from scratch each time. Many users also wished for templates that could serve as a starting point for their specific needs.

Unpolished Visuals and Outdated iPhone App: A common complaint among users is that they find the overall visual appearance of the software to be unpolished and lacking appeal. The design elements seem outdated and do not meet modern standards. In particular, users have pointed out difficulties when using the iPhone app due to cut-off filters on its wide control panel, making it challenging to access certain features effectively.

Based on user reviews, here are the three most common recommendations for Avero:

  1. Users recommend getting training on Avero for better efficiency. By receiving proper training, users can navigate and utilize the features of Avero more effectively, maximizing its benefits.

  2. Some users suggest updating the interface of Avero, particularly for iPad users. They believe that improvements to the interface would enhance usability and provide a more seamless experience while accessing reports and inputting logbook information.

  3. Users highly recommend downloading the Avero iPhone app. This app allows for convenient access to the tool both within and outside of the restaurant setting, enabling users to stay connected to their analytics and management functions on-the-go.

Overall, these common recommendations aim to improve usability, efficiency, and flexibility when using Avero in the hospitality industry.

We use the Slingshot for our outward facing customer dashboard and internal metric tracking. It was so easy to set up and required very little development time. Our customers now have access to real-time data to track our services and more importantly, our account management team can see real-time results.
  • Saved Reports
  • Comparison Reports
  • Support
  • Once it is set up it's a bit cumbersome to tweak some of the canned reports.
  • Change colors in theme.
  • Secure log in during testing.
If you need to have a visual front end for anything that is not hard to set up then this is the product to use. It does require someone with some coding knowledge but if you don't [have that] I am sure support can help as needed. The 2-factor authentication is great once we went live.
  • Increased our business 3x since we added a dashboard
  • Less need for staffing for manual reports
  • Mobile view is amazing!
Overall reviews and after speaking to several companies using Avero it was the clear choice. We looked at many more than just the couple we reviewed but those 2 we narrowed down due to similar cost and features. Slingshot was just easier to understand and implement into our environment.

We use Avero to track our daily, weekly, monthly & yearly sales. We also use the server tool to keep track of server check averages and tip%. We set up the system to send us daily reports to help save time with logging into the system. The daily logbook is a great tool to communicate with managers and back office staff.
  • Tracks server check averages
  • Daily log book
  • Financial comparisons
  • Standarizing fiscal periods, Would like to see standard 13 4 week periods
  • Being able to calculate overtime instead of relying on the POS system
If you have multiple locations, Avero can bring all your reporting into one place.
Not sure it is worth it if you have one store and are not looking to get deep dive reporting.
  • It saves us time running reports. We don't have to be at the physical location
  • If you have problems with your back office server, they charge $200 to reinstall
It was the only solution we had for our POS system that seemed reasonable. We liked that we could use it for multiple stores and didn't have to have the same POS for each
