We consulted with AVI-SPL to equip our large training space for virtual, hybrid and in-person gatherings. We were looking to upgrade our existing equipment to professionalize our technology and infrastructure and to ensure seamless use of Zoom for meetings, webinars and offerings. We average a virtual, interactive training with 50-60 people once per month.

We contracted AVI-SPL to upgrade the audio/video capabilities of our executive conference room at corporate and also in the largest conference room in the company. AVI-SPL designed and installed a Teams Meeting Room with 6 surface-mounted ceiling speakers and 3 ceiling microphones, a wall-mounted control panel and connected to an existing 85" display monitor.

  • In my opinion, did not provide solution to initial issue with Intune Mobile Device Mgmt prevented connectivity. Despite numerous attempts to solve, AVI-SPL deferred to Microsoft for troubleshooting.
  • Personally, later experienced connectivity issues with Teams. AVI-SPL did not offer any solutions or attempts to help. After over a month working with Microsoft, discovered a previously unannounced Teams upgrade resulted in authentication issues.
  • Microsoft recommended AVI-SPL as a preferred partner. I would expect AVI-SPL to be more knowledgeable and supportive in trying to resolve the above issues, especially since we purchased the one-year support plan.

We use AVI-SPL for support in our conference rooms. We had conference rooms without audio and video accessible to our users. AVI-SPI provided equipment to them so that we can host video conferences. We have 2 projectors and 2 computers connected to large TVs. The room can be split up into 4 rooms or open all at once. There are also a few other rooms under our contract but the main issues happen in the main 4 conference rooms I described above. We request service call more frequently then we would like but I will say we can generally get a tech out quickly.

  • I would like to see escalated help sooner than later. There have been times where we have a tech come out, cant resolve the issues and they send another tech of the same level to look at it again.
  • I have requested an engineer is involved when a tech comes on site and that doesnt always happen.
  • I would like to see them take the initiative to dive deeper into some of the ongoing issues we have had in the past. I feel as if they come by and band aid the issue when they really need to dive into the schematics of our particular set up.
For the more basic issues they do a good job correcting them. In my experience, for some of the more complex problems, it seems like they dont have enough tier 2 techs/engineers available to help troubleshoot with the techs that are at the site. In my experience the techs come on site and dont really know what the solution was at the end of the day. Seems like a lot of rebooting the system many times to finally get the system back up and running (temporarily). Our system may be different then others but that should hinder the support we get from AVI. I believe that our set up may be different than what they are used to seeing and it seems like it takes them all day to fix the issues and when asked what the fix is there isnt a whole lot that they point to. Again most of the time it is rebooting the devices and checking the Biamp. In my experience, I recall a time where they said "out engineering cant connect to the server we have (this is their equipment) The tech ended up giving up with the engineer who was trying to connect up to their system that is on site and there was no follow up regarding that connection that could not be made. I would have expected them to troubleshoot further but it takes them all day to get the rooms back in order since they aren't sure what is the issue I believe and then they don't want to troubleshoot the connectivity issue with the engineer after because it took so long to correct the original problem in my opinion.

We rely on AVI-SPL for AV design, engineering, and support. Our conference spaces are mission critical. If an issue occurs, we need it resolved promptly. We're capable of doing some initial troubleshooting, but any complications beyond that requires specialized skill. That's where AVI-SPL comes in. Generally, the support we receive is prompt and we get back to working in a reasonable amount of time.

We've gone through a few other A/V support organizations over the years. Our growth and needs have greatly changed. Prior A/V partners proved to be severely lacking in capability. It felt like playing whack a mole with snuffing out issue after issue rather than addressing the root cause of issues. Since working with AVI SPL, the number of issues we've faced have dropped immensely.

We partner with AVI-SPL to provide the audio/visual component on new construction distribution centers. They provide end-to-end consulting, procurement and installation. They do a good job of providing a clear and quick proposal that easily conveys the scope to the end-users and facilitates scope approval. Extremely easy to work with.

As a subcontractor for the Audio / Visual work. AVI-SPL developed a set of shop drawings that were reviewed and coordinated with other trades before any work began. This included prework inspections to ensure a smooth installation once on-site. There will also be Owner training at the completion of the work along with Operation & Owner manuals for future reference.

AVI-SPL is an integrator for our conference rooms for AV system and they have been supporting us closely and have been doing an excellent work for us. Any urgent incident at AV system, they come to our site and fix the issue professionally and timely.

they are our current AUDIO VIDEO vendor we use for support when we have issues IT cannot figure out . The problems that we have most frequently are mainly issue with aging equipement. When Equipment fails wer reachout to AVI-SPL to have them come onsite configure and replace equipment . they are normally pretty responsive

If we have equipment that fails sometimes it takes too long to have new equipment ordered and installed by AVI-SPL. Our conference rooms are a priority and sometimes it takes a month from time an issue is reported to when it fixed to have resolution. I think adding techs and planning would help. Basically we need better turn around time on issues

Additionally, once a solution is sourced AVI-SPL keeps us up to date on the status of delivery.

AVI-SPL is the Crestron system integrator and maintainer for our AV system in the Emergency Operations Center. This AV system supports three spaces in one building, used during disaster and other emergency activations as well as frequent large-group training.

Recently SKC in North Carolina merged with AVI-SPL. I am still getting the same great local service and attention from the sales team. They visit according to my schedule and provide relevant information about my Higher Education environment. Response to requests is never an issue, and updates to orders are only an email away.

AVI-SPL does a great job when our conference rooms break and malfunction. I feel like their response time and attention to detail on the service of our rooms is great.

AVI-SPL seems to not prioritize smaller/express projects and the transition from ADTECH systems to AVISPL was slow and clunky. Project timelines were dramatically longer than they should have been.

We sought a partnership with AVI-SPL to address our audio-visual needs for our new police dispatch center. They helped us to design a 110" 4x8 customizable video wall that will allow us to display daily information as well as serve as a visual center for critical information during an evolving incident. They further helped us to incorporate visual information at the dispatch workstation, including audio resources that can be selected by the dispatcher at the desk. Part of our design included multiple 80-inch screens around the room customized as needed.

This vendor was in place before I came to the organization, and I am here less than one year. AVI-SPL is used for providing hardware and services (installation and support) for digital signage and video conferencing at various locations for the company. They have been working with my organization for four years. This is the second time that I have inherited AVI-SPL; and it looks like the second time that I will need to fully replace them with another vendor. They are more expensive than most. Installation quality has been a major issue. They have inconsistent processes in both their installation arm and support; neither of which seem to talk to each other or know what's going on. Quote to quote sees pricing discrepancies for the same item. Incomplete installations have occurred on many occasions, with hardware installed that I can't even use; yet they signed the project off as done. There is no apparent testing or certification process. They are very, very high maintenance. If you have the time and energy to call them on their missteps and follow-up to get things correctly, then it is possible to use them to accomplish what you need. They can do a lot of things well, and can deliver if pushed to timelines. They just don't do it consistently well, sometimes unprofessionally and you need to be prepared for the fall-out. Most often, at least recently, are just a vendor - not a partner.

  • Execution through other third parties rather than bench strength - some unprofessional people have showed up to work at my sites
  • Lacks sense of urgency to solve problems
When you know what you want and how it should be done, they can be an asset. However, you still need to have a PM staff that can do the follow-up and verify execution, as I have found them short-cutting some things. If you don't know what you want or how to get it done, then they will do what they want and you may not get what you need.

We use AVI-SPL in our offices to provide A/V systems for Conference room use. We create the design and they implement it and then support it from a maintenance standpoint. We have to make sure the systems installed enhance the audio and visual experience of our clients and attorneys.

  • They are thorough in preparing a Statement of Work that covers the scope of the project. No surprises.
  • They communicate well and set realistic expectations.
  • They really do a great job and are generally responsive.
AVI-SPL has a broad base of experience and knowledge. I have worked with the same rep for at least 10 years. That makes a big difference. He has been in the industry for many years and he is able to combine his knowledge with real world experience. He is not out just to make another sale but provides direction while discussing options.

We recently hired AVI-SPL to install an AV system/teams room in 2 new conference rooms over the course of the last year.

  • We had an issue with a defective part that had to be shipped from the manufacturer which caused some delays. If they had a bigger stock of parts on hand this could have been eliminated.
