It is a great tool to manage your applications. You just need to write the codes, and after that with one click, your app will be online and accessible from the internet. That is a huge help for people who do not know about infrastructure or do not want to spend money on maintaining infrastructure.

AWS Elastic Beanstalk works well, but is geared towards an engineers mindset. The ELB management console isn't the most user-friendly, nor is the documentation, so you need to have developers who know what is going on and systems architecture.

AWS Elastic Beanstalk is great for existing workloads but if you are starting from scratch, there are other options that will allow you to build a more intricate solution. If you have to work through moving an existing solution to a scalable solution then this us a no brainer as it's so streamlined.

Intuitive User interface making easier to ramp up any learning to quickly deploy servers based on the use case. Good documentation makes it easier to understand any missing links which the developer may not find while exploring deeply and to customize more based on the requirements one may posses based on events planned within org

Like most everything on AWS, you are stuck rifling through mountains of outdated "documentation" to learn how to do things. Most of the tutorials and training do not work properly or are not complete, so trial and error are your best friend.

The biggest issue with using Beanstalk, and I guess with every other "infrastructure generators" are the same - what happens after it? You still have to manage it and understand what beanstalk did. So it was not as easy as it showed in the tutorial videos and diagrams. There is a learning curve, and eventually things do go wrong, so it is essential to understand what's happening under the hood.
