I use BambooHR on a daily basis. All of our HR functions, reporting, payroll, time off, performance reviews, etc. are completed in BambooHR. Switching over to BambooHR has saved us so much time and more than that, energy! It is easy to use and they have amazing customer support. I would highly recommend BambooHR to anyone looking for a BETTER HRIS.

We really use BambooHR for almost all aspects of our business for HR. The only areas I can really see that they can improve in would be having the ability to do the benefits changes and open enrollment in the BambooHR app. This would be much easier for the employees as they sign up.

It's fairly intuitive but could use some improvements. There are some places where it can be a little clunky but they seem to make improvements on a fairly regular basis.
We have run quite a lot of BambooHR reports over the years. It's great that they are customizable and you can run them with just a couple of clicks. Reporting features is one of BambooHRs strengths.
Much more clean and simple interface, more user-friendly, more functionality. Better remote access.

Ease of use was very important coming out of using BlueSky which was not easy to use and very clunky.
Technology develops at such a rapid pace that by the time you onboard a new system it's sometimes already outdated. We were happy with BambooHR when we onboarded it but likely could have spent some time evaluating other options to compare.

We all participated in the implementation so when it came time to use it, it was not a big deal as we all had familiarity.

I haven't worked with the support team and am not sure if we purchased premium support.
I haven't personally worked with the support team so I don't have first hand experience but I'm certain we've reached out to them and I never heard complaints about the pace or quality of service received.

I use BambooHR as the main platform to house all employee information. Additionally, I use the payroll function. The product provides a one-stop shop for basic HR needs for the business.
  • Customer Service - The customer service is consistent and the team is always eager to help. They are polite, patient, and there are never terrible interactions.
  • Communication - BambooHR communication channels are simple. There are many different ways to communicate with the team. I prefer e-mail because it helps me keep track of the conversations and they respond within the appropriate time. Also, the e-mail reminders or notifications help tremendously and it's not overbearing.
  • User Interface - It's simple and easy to use!
  • Integration - I would love to see more integration with certain timekeeping systems that will automatically import approved hours to TRAXPayroll. This would cut down on having to manually keying hours.
  • Creating more system items that fit the restaurant industry, such as workforce scheduling and forecasting. This is probably a huge ask and doesn't fit the platform, but it would help keep and attract more businesses as it relates to being a "one-stop" program.
  • Keeping the cost as low as possible will help small businesses continue. With the cost of inflation, it would be helpful for companies to have as much customization as possible to eliminate or only pay for things you need.
BambooHR is well suited for corporate type of organization. For example, the performance reviews are great, but if something more tailored to the restaurant side were quick and easy, that would be awesome. Timekeeping, as I mentioned, could be a bit more automated. Customer service is top-notch!

  • Record Keeping - Saving time with a bunch of filing.
  • Time saver - It used to take us forever to complete payroll, and now it is done within minutes.
  • Onboarding - It is quick to make adjustments where needed to offer letter and job postings.
As mentioned earlier, the user interface is easy and simple!
If I could rate this higher, I would. The customer service is not comparable to any other company. They are always willing to help solve issues and do it graciously.
I can easily find the data needed for payroll or salary adjustments, for example. The reporting function is essential and cuts does an a bunch of research.
For small business, like myself, BambooHR is enough. When working for more giant corporations, Workday was amazing. However, I cannot compare their customer service. In terms of user experience, BambooHR is definitely better than the others listed.

I use all functions, but primarily payroll. The other manager uses hiring to look at applicants. The employees use the self-service to view paystubs.

  • Time accruals - We don't fully implement the time accrual process for pay. It helps to determine what policy will work best for accruing time and how to reward the employee for their length of service.
  • Performance Management - We haven't had the staff yet to implement a full performance review system. Hopefully we will get there soon as we continue to expand.
  • Benefits - I haven't explored this yet, because we are still trying to expand, but this would help in the future as we try and offer benefits to employees.
There's nothing wrong with this platform. I would recommend it to any business starting with more than 10 employees. I will continue to use the program for as long as I need to, hoping they continue being tremendous and finding other ways to incorporate more technology.

The implementation was great, too! Again, this made me feel comfortable with the customer service that I received.
There's nothing that I would change. All the other programs were hit-and-miss regarding what I was looking for, and BambooHR was closer to the mark.
The instructions for implementation were laid out nicely. The reps told me what to expect and what actions I needed to take by specific deadlines.

The self-service app seems to work well. Also, the ATS (Hiring) app is helpful, especially when you would like to share the job posting on the go.
It definitely serves the purpose of being able to handle multiple departments within the organization.
Since I am on Eastern Time, most of my administration work happens at night or early in the morning. I can only recall a time or two when I needed support, but BambooHR wasn't available. It wasn't urgent, though. I sent a ticket, and they followed up as appropriate. As far as outages, I have never been impacted by those.

BambooHR handles all our employee's data and tracking! This includes hiring, onboarding, evaluation, and offboarding. We'd be lost without this program as it allows managers to really manage their team member's accounts. As an HR department of one, I'm grateful to have a program to not only quickly help me solve issues, but also other members of the team.

Well suited for employee documentation! Will hold and manage most HR areas. Must consider payroll integration. We went with Traxpayroll (owned by BambooHR) to help with this integration. This could not be used for all mass communications.

They do lack a simple way to look up historical data.
We have BambooHR because of its great interface and user-friendly design. It meets our employees' needs as well as our employer's needs. We have integrations with some programs where Bonusly isn't able to cover.

BambooHR is a great tool with lots of HR information and resources. We like the online webinar where we can sign up for free and we get also access to their powerpoint training which is great. A great tool used by several people in the Human Resources Department. The information on state law is very helpful when we don't have a lawyer on site.

Bamboo is well suited for all minor HR topics for small and medium companies. Once the company gets too big, I think the resource might not be sufficient enough, although it is a great tool. There is definitely more information on people and culture than certain other topics that could be covered but, for us, it works perfectly for now.

It fits the size of our organization and is very user-friendly. It seems to be run by more modern people in the back. The website and all the documents and webinars offered are dynamic looking. All of these small details helped us make our decision and we like it.

There are no skills required to use BambooHR, it is a great tool, a very user friendly app and the amount of information that we can get is impressive. So far we have been able to find answers to all questions that arose almost everyday. we don't have a full time HR person at the office so having that tool and reference and having a "people" person in the company is enough for us.

this is a very well known and popular platform that is being used by a lot of small/medium companies like ours so it was quick to make the decision to move to the platform for us as well. customer service is great. Looks like a young company and very dynamic, always trying to be on top of all HR related topics that can be the most relevant for our business, for small and medium size business at least.

The online training team is great. Theis is so well done! very user friendly, very nice to go through. Then you get all those exemples and questions to test you and make sure you understand the training as we go along. This is a great asset from the tool, I don't think I have ever been left without understanding because there is help and additional resources to understand or extra windows that explain terms or answer Q&A.
This is a great tool and a great source of HR information and training. We use the webinar a lot and we share it with various people in the company or whoever is interested to know about new laws and new HR topics. The website is extremely user-friendly.

BambooHR provides me with exceptional support all the time I need it. I don't need much help in general and the platform is rich enough of all kind of information that it is self sufficient but at times, I needed help and every single time, it has been a very positive and exceptional experience. there is a great customer care / customer satisfaction experience.

There is so much you can do with this platform, it is incredible and so welcoming. We don't utilize it 100% yet just because we are growing and the HR team has not been able to concentrate on other areas offered to us but but we will soon. Which is also why we got the product, specifically because what BambooHR can do to help us meet our growing business needs.
Yes, there is a huge team in the back of the online platform or it looks like it because I have never been left without an answer when I have a question or waiting from a response on my chat .... There must be a huge team, this is so great and I always seem to have someone that is very knowledgeable too. So many times in the past I had to leave with customer service that would connect you with someone else because of the expertise, here everyone seems to be some kind of an expert in the HR function.
I love BambooHR. Reports are easy to run and download and it usually covers any types of requests I get from the management team. You get excel or .csv downloads/reports and it is fast and simple, not too crowded so it is easy to read through. We don't integrate the tool yet but again, soon we will. we just did not had the time to utilize it yet but that's the plan.
