It was our first HRIS as our team grew from 50 to 300! It handled most things we needed very well for a small, but growing global company. It helped us get our US payroll situated along with being able to finally keep employee data in one place. Its onboarding feature was fantastic for us and we also heavily leveraged the employee engagement surveys as a helpful pulse check each quarter

We use BambooHR in our business to maintain employee records, keep track of time off, and run employee data reports.
  • BambooHR has great customer support.
  • BambooHR allows us to tailor time off policies to fit our needs.
  • BambooHR allows us to run annual reviews within their platform.
Cons
  • BambooHR could use improvements in the signature set up of documents. The fields do not always align with data such as social security numbers.
  • I would like to be able to add employee analytics as a widget on the homescreen.
  • As an admin, I would like to be able to control what other employees see on the homescreen, not just my own.
BambooHR makes it easy to run annual reviews as well as maintain employee information.

BambooHR is our HRIS System. The product helps address where we track and safe keep employee information.We also the utilize the system as our Payroll system and up to date employee information is stored in BambooHR. BambooHR is not our only people system but it is our primary system and is a great place for employees to have access to their information too.

BambooHR has many strengths however there are still areas for improvement within the system. It would be helpful if there was more of a compliance aspect to the system e.g. local anti-harassment trainings that can be pushed through the system, workflow approval processes in the system, and local state forms that the system has e.g. withholding forms.

I use it a lot for all types of people, HR, and Operations stuff: checking and managing leaves, holidays, salary/pay, departmental/divisional info, affiliations, keeping track of regular/periodical goals, achievements, activities, career progress, etc. Awesome! Excellent! Great features. It made day-to-day office HR/OPS stuff much easier to handle/manage.

  • Leaves are not utilized in a year; if carried forward to next year, it's proper info synchronization.
  • Synchronization of info available in Bamboo HR with other associated and compatible software for easier data handling/management/archiving.
  • Employee info, departmental/divisional affiliations, career paths/goals/achievements, work/activities management, a reflection of changes, if any, made, and proper management synchronizing with other office data management systems.
Appropriate for everything, please see the following points> People and HR and Operational Stuff; Employee departmental/divisional affiliations; Info management, data inventory, record keeping and management; career goals/objectives/paths/achievements, etc. Places with scopes for further improvement>> managing info on leaves applied/granted/permitted/utilized/not utilized in a year and carried over to next year for use up; info on salary increment, DA, perks, taxation, etc.

I am head of HR for my company. We switched from Gusto to BambooHR®. BambooHR® has better features in comparison to Gusto. I love how BambooHR® host webinar's when changes come about to keep us all informed. Tech support appears to be more knowledgeable. I also appreciate BambooHR® for being user friendly and the platform welcomes feedback from its clients, continuously looking for ways to improve! Lastly, the new AI feature the website has; has made it easy for my staff to ask questions and find the answer's they are looking for, even outside of my office hours.

I currently export hours from a different time keeping system. Sometimes the import file can come across with "errors" but when I review the export, I do not find the error. The good thing about that mishap was I was able to contact tech support for them to look a little deeper. Tech support found the descrepancy.
