Bambu is a versatile platform that serves various departments and teams within CDK Global. Users from the Marketing team leverage the tool to share canned content, stories, and links on social media platforms like LinkedIn. By doing so, they gain valuable tracking and insight data for the Marketing team. Sales teams find value in Bambu as well, using it to position themselves as thought leaders and trusted advisors in their industry while also engaging in social selling activities. The product has been particularly useful for different departments within CDK Global, including marketing, sales, and recruiting. It enables efficient social selling efforts, facilitates the scheduling of posts across multiple platforms, and saves time for the digital marketing and social department.
Internally, Bambu is used by a team of around 35 members to share approved marketing content on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Additionally, it serves as an internal communication tool within the organization of 250 seats. With Bambu's help, employees have been able to expand their social followings, increase brand awareness, and drive traffic to CDK Global's online channels. The platform not only supports employee advocacy but also simplifies content sharing for the sales organization and enhances the efficiency of the marketing team in rolling out campaigns. Moreover, Bambu has proven effective in coordinating social media efforts, sharing new marketing ideas, and providing insights into campaign effectiveness. For those who may not be adept at using social channels, Bambu boosts confidence by making it easier to navigate through them while aligning with the new brand guidelines.
Users have made several recommendations for Bambu based on their experiences with the product. The most common recommendations are as follows:
-
Give users more flexibility on alert settings: Users suggest that Bambu should provide more options for customizing and managing alerts. This would allow them to tailor the notifications to their specific needs and preferences.
-
Integrate Bambu with SFDC for conversion tracking: Users recommend integrating Bambu with SalesForce (SFDC) to track conversions more effectively. This integration would provide valuable insights into the impact of employee engagement on sales and revenue.
-
Run a pilot with a small group before purchasing: Many users advise running a pilot program with a small group of employees before fully committing to purchasing Bambu. This allows companies to test the platform's features, gauge employee engagement, and assess its suitability for their organization before making a larger investment.
These recommendations highlight the importance of customization, integration with existing systems, and careful testing and evaluation when considering the implementation of Bambu within an organization.
Reviews
(1-7 of 7)Marketing campaigns made simple
- Coordinating Marketing Efforts.
- Ease of use in sharing to social media platforms.
- Organize your outbound efforts.
- Extension in chrome would be beneficial to help craft one-off emails and campaigns.
Easy to Leverage Social Media & Insights Content Sharing Platform
- Scheduling out content / shares for the week
- Providing a quick glance leaderboard of top content shares across departments
- Easy to learn and leverage user interface (UI)
- Options at the top for Suggest a Story or Share Original Content could stand out differently/better (kind of "hiding in plain sight")
- The options for sharing to LinkedIn or other aren't quite as easy to see/utilize as they could be (an idea for improving the UI)
Good, but worth vetting other options based on needs
- Ease of use for user
- Ease of use for managers and content contributors
- Sprout to Bambu integration is not what was depicted in trial and is not used because of this
- Missing functionality: LinkedIn tagging
- Missing functionality: posting videos
- Missing functionality: posting something without a link. Example: picture from an event or community outreach
Using Bambu to Shift a Culture
- Ease of use. It creates a user-friendly experience that allows employees to understand and share.
- Customer support & feedback.
- Understanding the power of social media and building their tool around its use.
- The ability to add stories from the app.
- A clearer single-sign-on experience.
- The ability to better sort teams.
Employee Advocacy done right
- A very simple and intuitive UI (both desktop + mobile)
- User reporting like "Leaderboard" reports which are key for wrapping an inventive program around employee advocacy for top performers
- Product Management - in the time I've been using this platform the development team is constantly adding product enhancements and are very receptive to user feedback.
- Currently Bambu only supports LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter - would be nice to see other social platforms in the mix.
- Story editing tool is pure WYSIWYG, would like to be able to see an "edit text/html" feature.
- Would like to be able to customize HTML email template (for digest, newsletter, etc email templates) to our brand specs
Agency Thoughts on Bambu
- Quick posts
- Automatic scheduled posts
- Cost well worth the saved time/effort across many clients
- I feel overall that Bambu is a great, cohesive tool. No major changes or updates needed that I can think of.
- GREAT UX and UI... coming off of GaggleAMP, this was felt modern, clean, and intuitive. Even just visually the tool was very appealing to interact with.Variety of notification options.
- Integrates with Slack, Email, Texts...making it easy for users to pick what works best for them.
- RSS feed -- automatically pulls in content so you just have to fine tune - there's even a way to have things automatically pulled in for people to use if you're on vacation or unable to manage it for a time
- Mobile App! It's so user-friendly!
- Analytics -- there's a lot to be desired here and would be great to see it integrate with other platforms like HubSpot.
