  • Barracuda allowed us to pull critical emails that had been lost to use in an on going legal situation
  • Being able to filter out 97% of spam emails and email based malware attacks has saved our organization countless sums of money. Basic users and students aren't always aware of these kinds of attacks and can easily fall victim to phishing attempts. Barracuda prevents most of these from ever making it to the user.
  • Barracuda's yearly licensing is more affordable than most other competitors that provide similar utilities

  • We have recovered from ransomware in less than 1 hour in the past with the backups we take and only lost about 10 minutes of work.
  • Saved time and money transporting old disk-based backups offsite and have more warnings and alerts on failed backups.
  • Replaced outdated disk-based backup and saved downtime.

  • For a handful of our clients that have had a major outage, the Barracuda Backup has more than paid for itself in the downtime or lack thereof. We went from taking hours or days to bring a failed server back online to just a couple of hours.
  • The centralized management of all of the Barracuda Backups we have deployed for our clients has increased our efficiency dramatically. Before we would have to log into each server, and check backups, now we just log in to the dashboard and view over health instantly.
  • The reporting and notifications features make it worth every penny when I can take those backup reports to a client, and show them in hard numbers of what they're paying for, how it's improved their disaster recovery time, and save them money in service calls.

  • It is much lower priced than the alternate solution we where thinking about purchasing.
  • It was initially a much more cost-effective solution until they changed their cost model making the ROI go down over the last 2 years.
  • It saved our districts, that we on-boarded, the cost of new hardware. The deduplication factor kept the total size down for new adds.

  • The great thing about an appliance backup solution that is not a Windows based OS, is you don't have to worry as much about ransomware.
  • Although, the negative side to the appliance is if you outgrow it you have to replace the appliance. It does not have the capability to expand storage.

  • The ease of use has made it more likely that backups are available when we need them and that we can restore them quickly.
  • The recent issues with downloading directly from the cloud have hindered one particular project that required restoring files from the cloud to a site that doesn't have a Barracuda device on premise.

  • Countless positive impacts from being able to restore lost or deleted files - or even restoring an entire server.
  • Being able to restore files for users and allowing them to recover lost work or preventing them from having to redo files at any level is priceless. You can't accurately measure lost time of employees having to recreate files. Especially things like 3D drawings and multi-sheet spreadsheet.

  • It is hard to put a dollar value to backups as data loss can be small or large. From saving an overwritten file which can save a few hours of work redoing, or a virus or hard drive failure that can cost you thousands in customer data.
  • ROI may never be returned if you never need to recover, but consider the potential loss as your ROI.
