(226-250 of 436)Happy Customer!
- The up time is great. Very seldom is the site "down".
- The interface with payment platforms such as Amazon Pay, PayPal and Credit Card processing is reliable.
- The customer experience and order flow is good. Simple check-out reduces abandoned carts.
- The tracking emails just don't seem to work correctly for us. We have attempted several times to improve this with no luck. Probably something we are doing wrong or don't have set up properly.
- The ability to block customer IP addresses (or ranges) would help reduce attempted fraud
Wholesale business that uses BigCommerce for ease of use, frequent updated features and fair pricing
- BigCommerce provides constant updates on existing features to stay up to date with current technology. Changes are well thought out and executed without interruption to our business.
- Setting up a new store is easy. Walkthroughs are provided in an online guide. An individual without a programming background was able to set up the store. Additionally, migration assistance from another platform was provided.
- The customer service team has provided outstanding service. Our questions have been answered within 1 day and solved satisfactorily.
- Ability for wholesale B2B could be improved, for example displaying case quantity and case pricing.
- Wish we could create a separate website for wholesale customers to log in and place wholesale orders.
BigCommerce is a great plug and play solution but you can't go outside the box with it.
- The startup was very fast: we migrated from Demandware to BigCommerce and it was a fairly quick (4 months) process for our 5600 SKU catalog.
- The process of onboarding new SKUs is very easy which is good because we churn about 2000 new SKUs in and out each year.
- The system has a very simple back end so we don't require a lot of development hours as we did with Demandware
- Page load speed is terrible: very low SEO scores as a result.
- If you have anything out of the ordinary as in multiple promos running simultaneously on a tiered pricing structure it can't handle it.
- No ability to override their site map which is automatically created via the system, this results in poor SEO as we have had a number of site map errors with Google due to this.
- Many Google Search console errors are thrown because of how they hard code in the robot txt and do not allow users to remove that code.
- In general, not very SEO friendly.
Long time User's Review
- The ability to have large catalogs
- Cost effective
- Chat support is helpful
- Theme glitches can be frustrating
- Customizing storefronts is challenging
- Would like built in inventory control rather than using external apps
BigCommerce is perfect for our small dot-com business needs.
- Support is tremendous. Any questions are answered immediately by phone.
- Online reliability.
- My only small complaint is the search function on the website. I'm sure it is a good one, but it doesn't fit our needs exactly.
Best bang for the buck for the non-geek and geek alike!
- Template design: Defiantly in the last 2 years has gotten much better and on par with any other platform out there. They have introduced some really great templates that now have flair and style and go beyond the "Cart" vibe. We are a unique brand and always appreciate being able to make a template our own and get our values and vibe across from the moment you land on our store.
- Customer Service: I have tried other platforms and when it comes to customer service, BC is the best I've seen! Quite often I have to work on the website during the night and appreciate the 24/7 chat availability of support when I have a question or am just not finding the answer in the help area (which really has happened and been feeling stupid after). They are always knowledgeable and very friendly, their customer service alone makes up for the few things I wish BC had.
- App and widget ease: Almost anywhere there might be an industry-specific detail needed, there is an app or widget for it that is easy to install right from the admin panel of BC. Most are quite affordable or free. The biggest one we use is Klayvio for our email marketing, funnel and flows perfectly with the BC system for CRM too.
- Bulk Edit: The bulk edit feature really isn't much of a bulk edit, to be honest. The only things you can really change are the sale price and maybe inventory qty. A platform we were on before we used the bulk edit all the time because it was so perfect. Some real time saving adds to it would be: The ability to turn free shipping on and off/The ability to change all the pricing including MSRP/The ability to update the "availability" text/The ability to change the bin picking number, sort order, featured and visible.
- Coupon Codes: I wish there was an easier way to work with the coupon codes. The ability to sort or search them would be hugely helpful.
Implementing BC as an agency
- Extendable API
- Headless capabilities
- Strong core e-commerce business logic and experience
- Lack of content management options.
- Lack of access to server-side APIs without the usage of middleware.
- Lack of flexibility when it comes to payment gateway integrations.
The Wish Pearl's Wishful Review
- Ease of use
- Has a lot of support for 3rd party apps
- Great technical support
- Missing certain apps that would be very useful for Canadian users.
Choosing a Scalable Solution for B2B
- Provides flexibility in presenting products.
- Allows a great degree of custom options within the standard format.
- Good reporting functions.
- Does not work well with our search, and this frustrates our team.
- Getting answers to non-typical questions is difficult. BigCommerce is good with standard questions.
- Great strides in B2B world. Hope the company keeps address the needs of this audience.
Strong and powerful, yet easy to use and manage
- It is easy to add, edit, and remove product.
- It is easy to manage orders.
- BigCommerce keeps up with technology and offers all the bells and whistles that consumers expect from online purchasing.
- Excellent customer service and assistance.
- Would like easier integration with our backend ERP.
Niche players can easily use BigCommerce
- Excellent support documentation. Virtually all setup and implementation for our company was covered in the support documents.
- Graphics are easy to work with. The technology makes it easy to import photos. Information is available to provide information on the best sizes, etc.
- Order interface is easy to work with.
- Templates don't have enough user management options.
- Quite a few customer suggestions have not been implemented.
- Emailing an edited order with a refund is not possible.
Excellent shopping cart solution!
- Our SEO increased right away when we started using BigCommerce.
- Very easy to customize products including being able to offer multiple variations of one product.
- We just started using BigCommerce shipping which has been a huge benefit for us.
- I don't really have anything that I'm not satisfied with.
BigCommerce made life easier
- Smooth integration with Quickbooks.
- Offers direct inventory connections with social media and Amazon.
- Handles the shipping functions of both domestic and international orders.
- As a pro user, we do not have "sandbox" capability which is very challenging in terms of making changes without having to do it while being "live".
- For our business, It's hard to deal with making changes within our template. Requires fairly high-level programming knowledge and expense.
- Amazon integration has been a real pain, which may have more to do with Amazon than BigCommerce.
Secure. Stable. Good customer service. If you are building a new website check out BigCommerce .
We have been on the BigCommerce platform for about 4 years.
The site we have hosted on BigCommerce was relatively easy to set up and has been easy to maintain too.
One huge benefit of BigCommerce, compared to other carts we looked at, has been the 24-7 customer support. We have called, chatted and emailed their team (really OUR TEAM) at BigCommerce at all times of the day and night, and I do not think there has ever been a problem they did not help us solve.
Although they do not offer every little feature we want on a website, they do have developer partners that are there to help when we need them.
We have been very pleased with our BigCommerce store, and when we develop a new store it is very likely it will be with them.
- Help with transitioning to them from another cart - when we brought our SKUs over to the Bigcommerce cart they took care of us. It was an easy process and together we got it done quickly and were up and running in a short time.
- Customer service- We have called, and chatted and emails at all times of the day and night, and have been available. This is a BIG help, especially since no one at our company is a web developer.
- Easy to use - The dashboard/interface of Bigcommerce is pretty intuitive and easy to learn and easy to use.
- User management: One BIG snafu with Bigcommerce is the lack of a good user management interface system. It is impossible to set up a user and have the new user at a permission level to get a lot of stuff done as far as back end programming without the owner having to get involved. Most of the time the store owner ends up having to give a developer their username and password to get done what needs to get done, which in reality makes the whole system LESS SECURE, not more secure. They really need to get this solved.
- Frontpage customization- unless you are a computer programmer, it can be a little difficult to get exactly what you are looking for on the home page. This may be the case of many carts, as a lot of this is the theme developer. I think Bigcommerce should make the developers of the themes make them easier to customize.
- Cart customization: Our second biggest struggle with Bigcommerce (FIRST BEING USER ACCESS / MANAGEMENT) is the ability to add more customization at the end of the shopping experience for the customer, the shopping cart. For example, the Cart discounts are a great idea but the interface on the customer side needs to be able to just have the customer hit an "Add to Cart " button instead of going back to the page of the product to use the discount. Also, we need some better interface with the customers on details about payments and shipping.
If you are trying to create a very customized site, with very specific check out functionality that needs to be highly customized, I still think a BigCommerce store is probably the way to go, but you may need to get outside development done and be sure to check out the developer partner site and get some quotes before you make your decision.
BigCommerce Means Big Sales
- Very good back office systems to manage products
- Easy to use invoicing and order management
- Modern and easily updated designs
- The built in blog needs more features and better templates
- Sales reports could be more flexible and powerful, and easier to customize
- More options for the front page would be a plus
BigCommerce has equaled BigSales for our company.
- Integration with email communication.
- Integration with POS systems, particularly Square.
- Encrypted customer checkout.
- Ease of use and quickness of updating/adding products.
- Invoice generation.
- Ability to edit invoices.
- Better guidance on SEO and how it works.
- Easier integration with Google.
- More shipping options for customers to choose from.
BigCommerce - the right choice for your eCommerce store.
- Simple to get going.
- Integrates well with other platforms.
- Reliable - Our store is online and stays online.
- Add features to UK marketplaces which have been available to the US for a long time.
- Add more basic Ecommerce core functionality - Out of stock reminders would be a good start.
- Work with App providers more closely to ensure they optimize their products to keep sites speedy.
BigCommerce Rocks
- Better price.
- Good functionality.
- Great customer service.
- Easy to implement apps.
- More app options would be nice.
- Reports are difficult to create and download.
We built our business on BigCommerce!!
- Provides all basic eCommerce functions, but has plenty of scope for specialist extension using plug-ins.
- It is easy to use and set up, with customizable themes that allow us to make our website appear unique.
- Support is pretty good, and you can always get through to speak to a human when needed.
- It is irritating that, if we customize our theme at all, then the ability to easily apply theme upgrades is stopped. Consequently, we have taken a decision to remain completely "standard," which does have its disadvantages.
- It would be nice if the standard email messages were easier to find and customize, and that this could be done without breaking the theme upgradeability.
BigCommerce: the best option!
- Professional Product Manager
- SEO Configuration
- Theme Optimization
- File modification internal module
- Theme modifications online
- Emails manager
The pros, needs, and wants of a BigCommerce user.
- Always working to make their site better for owner and user.
- 24/7 customer service included in their plans.
- Updates.
- Integration with Quickbooks Pro, not just one QuickBooks plan online. I don’t like that I have to use a bridge line to connect the two.
- Picture sizes. A better picture correction program.
- Direct integration with eBay. Not having to use a separate platform/integration to connect.
Great decision to go with BigCommerce!
- Easy learning curve
- Good customer support
- Easy-to-use interface
- Theme updates often require developers
- Not as many apps as Shopify
BigCommerce enables us to sell our full range of products fast & efficiently, reaching a truly global market. Our products are sold as far afield as New Zealand, Chile, and Europe.
- Easy to get started with a range of products
- Easy to configure each product to meet the customer requirements, including options like size, colour, etc.
- Integrates seamlessly with other apps like inventory management and accounting
- More themes developed by BigCommerce without the need of third parties
- Provide more detailed help to the merchants on their individual design requirements
Big Commere-Big Power for Both Large and Small Businesses
- Easy to use and set up.
- Easy integration with various market places and our back-office systems.
- Helpful customer service.
- Reasonable cost.
- Always looking to innovate and stay ahead of the curve.
- Site security.
- Ability to handle large catalog.
- Ability to handle options, and personalization of products.
- I wish it had a little easier way to customize things outside their system. Can't really use HTML to make custom changes. The system works well and is easy to get started, but harder to deal with if you want to customize the look.
- I love how BigCommerce easily handles large catalogs of products. You can create rules for products with similar variants, which makes editing in bulk faster and easier.
- There's a bit of a learning curve initially, but once you get through that, it seems like the possibilities are endless. There are many excellent apps and themes that have worked seamlessly with BC to do all the things I want it to while creating a really positive experience for users.
- Customer service has always been excellent in my experience! Fast response times, plenty of information, and reps go above and beyond.
- The latest update with the elimination of option sets is definitely a bit disappointing. The timing was unfortunate because I'm taking on a migration that has become a headache because I'm not familiar with the new admin panel and I've spent too much time trying to figure out where all of the product fields have moved.
- Hm, I've been happy with most things. Perhaps suggestions for apps could be used to connect more apps to users. For example, I use a freelancing software called 'Bonsai'. When I use one of their features it prompts a suggestion in their chat window or email for a particular feature or it gives me more information about that feature. In BigCommerce, I often think, 'I wonder if there's an app for that?' and then I'll just search and read reviews until I find something that might work. But if there's some way to suggest an app that could solve a problem I might be having at certain times throughout the setup process and beyond, that would be great. Printful is another example of a company that sends emails with helpful information and suggestions as you start up a business.
