When I was first moving my domain over to BigCommerce I was not sure what changes I needed to do to DNS servers and such for the domain and was very scared of messing everything up. What made it complicated was I am keeping my current email servers but wanted to move the actual website to them.
Support was amazing with helpful information, links to documents and videos that would help me make those changes.
Things went really well thanks to all the info they provided which helped reduce my stress levels during this important changeover to BigCommerce.

Calls are generally answered in less than 3 mins by a live support rep (after you get through the annoying recording/greeting). The support team is great at troubleshooting problems and finding work arounds for issues.

In the early days, BigCommerce support gave me conflicting advice on an important issue with product codes. Every time they had an idea, it cost me hundreds of work hours. The problem came from the way I wanted to use the platform for a manufacturer that sells the same product year in and year out, not a seasonal premise. Eventually, we got a work around and the team here must have all known my name and yet there was no angst from them dealing with me and they gave me a free theme when I needed one. Sometimes, going through very difficult problems forges a greater understanding on both sides.

Oh, heavens there are so many times they have been exceptional! I always make sure, especially during those 2am chats to tell the support person how much I love that they are there and that they are so helpful. One night I had been working on a big change I was making on the site and been at it for 10+ hours, I was so tired and knew my question was probably beyond simple and easily found in the help section, but I was just too tired to put the effort in.. hit that chat and got a great gentleman to help me.. I apologized to him because he did have to hold my hand that night thru the question but he did it and with a smile in his voice.

A bug that made it impossible to link to a product option SKU (and so made Google Shopping ads redundant) was identified when I had a live chat with an operative. Within the space of 24 hours after reporting the bug, including calls with account and product managers at BigCommerce, the issue was fixed and ads were back online.

In the very unlikely situation (industry-leading 99.99% uptime) that the platform was to go offline for essential maintenance, we have always been alerted well in advance of this happening so we can plan accordingly.

While customizing the template I wanted to do a few things outside the normal parameters. I emailed our support contact asking if she could direct me to where I would find documentation of any kind to help me. Instead she called me and walked me through the HTML documents and then thru some coding that gave me exactly the effect I wanted. Saved me a ton of time and was above and beyond her responsibility.

We recently updated out website to a new theme and as our previous theme was 2 generations back and discountinued , when it came to launch time we realised all the design work was based on a theme that was no longer in our new availability list - from an online chat, it was escalated to one of the very professional call support team members (Garrett) contacting me directly by phone, who added all the necessary notes on record so that when it came to launch time we had the guarantee that whoever took our enquiry had all of the relevant info they needed to guide us though the transition without any issue and more importantly ZERO DOWNTIME for our website with the promise that our very old website had a back up plan if anything went wrong . Excellent service and a solution to what could of been a very stressful time for us.

Most recently, the circumstantial aspects of my switch to a new theme led to some highly unusual problems and issues. Instead of trying to put me off, dismiss me or make me feel that I was stuck on my own with the situation, EVERYONE, in all customer service departments that I spoke with, every step of the way, did their best to help me through it. They offered solutions, suggestions, work-arounds and assisted with working instructions to make sure I made it through all the issues on every step of the giant project I had understaken, as well as ironing out any of the glitches I had encountered. After working with them for years and as a solo entrepreneur, I've often considered them "My Team". Well, this time, the team customer service on this most recent large project went so far above and beyond, and I truly could not have done it without them. And it was always done with such a friendly, helpful, professional, yet light-hearted approach, without hestitation or arguement - they just HELPED ME. Each time I called (and I called a LOT) they looked at all the possible paths to help me navigate through to a successful finish. AMAZING. I am so grateful for the help on my project. To all on the BigCommerce support team, I send a big 'Thanks'!
