  • I do not have access to the costs, but I know finding info in Blackbaud is MUCH easier than it was in our last CRM.
  • It is an efficient platform.

  • Our ability to provide consistent accurate performance numbers has improved dramatically. Anyone, at any time, can hit a single button and know what our fundraising goals are and how we are performing against those goals. Very popular with upper management
  • Implementing different modules within the system has save us time and cost using outside options. NCOA is a good example. We run t quarterly for all records. Any school or subunit can then send mailing out at any time without dealing with another cleanse and the associated cost. We've saved over $200,000 doing it once for all instead of piecemeal.
  • The system provides more accurate data faster for major gift research and solicitation. Our staffing levels have dropped (not recommended) but our actual funds raised and gifts processed have increased by 25%

  • Positive: It has helped with the organization of data on our many constituents. Because so many people access the system for different reasons, we are able to keep a ton of information in one spot and allow easy access for all. This has saved so much time! It has also saved staff resources so we don't have a centralized staff that is looking up this information by request.
  • Positive: The easy use of the system has made training for new users much easier! Our previous system required in-depth training for new users, and constant upkeep to keep everyone trained. Blackbaud CRM is user-friendly so the training is easy and quick. Users can maintain their quality of use with no need for repeat training. This has lessened the amount of time our training staff spends on training for this platform.

  • The online program we use called Luminate (new to us, we just started using 3 months ago) does not integrate as well as the previous program, NetCommunity, so that is frustrating. Both online products are by Blackbaud.
  • The many different areas we are able to track and record make data analysis awesome.

  • Change is always expensive and painful, but CRM is worth the time and effort. One immediate benefit is improved transparency internally, especially for internal accounting, controls, and compliance departments.
  • Cloud hosting helps cut cost and demand on organization staff. Improves access and meets compliance on every level.
  • Ability to make global changes to recording donor phone communication makes it a one-stop resource for a well-run development team.

  • Blackbaud CRM can really be a great tool to help organizations grow and reach out. It helped to grow our membership significantly through several marketing type campaigns.
  • The product can be customized making it adaptable to many different types of organizations.

  • Decreased open rate in email because we can't figure out how to segment out inactive or soft bounce emails in Blackbaud
  • Mistakenly sent an email with the wrong personalization
  • The whole team can use Blackbaud but only 1-2 people know how to actually use it. Very steep learning curve
