Toray Research Center is using this conference call tool as a whole. Also, Toray Industries is using this tool for domestic conference calls in Japan. TRC Sales team is always using this tool just in case [so that] customers do not feel uncomfortable. Mostly used for customer meetings globally. Analysis services always requests detailed discussions about what equipment [and] what analysis techniques are being applied for customers needs.
  • Audio is always excellent.
  • Time lag does not happen.
  • Verizon merged with BlueJeans [which] is a big marketing chance delivering confidence.
  • Our customers like this application in U.S.
  • Menu is not diversified comparing with Zoom.
  • Scheduling is not convenient. Scheduling is not noticeable which is the most important function.
  • Sometimes this does not work with Japanese colleagues and U.S. customers.
  • [I wish] scheduled events popped up automatically on the PC screen.
When you need to schedule events with internal customers or/and internal colleagues, the BlueJeans icon is noticeable. If I click the BlueJean icon, you automatically see the icon with BIG noticeable color and size. The U.S. customers are very comfortable with the notification which is not visible to me. I hope customers are pleased to see the popped-up icon with a smile.

"The issue of Bluejean" is less well-known among potential customers. More importantly, customers are confused with Verizon and Bluejean. Customers confusion is always a huge hick-up from sales and marketing perspectives. Now, if customers are not confused, Bluejean needs to beat Zoom's positioning as a #1 brand for video con call. COVID is the chance to beat Zoom. After COVID, the positioning of Zoom will be solid which is similar to Hertz and Avis.. The position does not change at all.

I used it for my organization for online training and meetings with clients. Also, for recording training, it has been good. One issue has been that it seems to be tricky to use on a mobile phone. On a desktop, it has been very good. I like the screen sharing function and recording function the best.
  • Screen recording
  • Easily send a link to clients to join from their browsers.
  • Good quality recording
  • A little confusing to setup if you look at the advanced features.
  • Joining from mobile phones isn't easy you need to download an app.
  • Adjusting group meeting settings for different scenarios is a bit confusing.
Bluejeans is a great platform to use for video meetings. I would recommend using this app for anyone who values privacy and security, over apps such as Zoom and Google Meet. It's also easy to use and set up meetings. The recording function is great for running online training sessions.

I was using BlueJeans to set up meetings with members of the public from across the country, it was being used between 1 - 20 participants and it was just me that was using the account. I was trialing BlueJeans to see if it was a useful tool for us to use in other areas of our work.
  • Simple to login.
  • Easy to set up meetings.
  • Relatively simple to join meetings.
  • There was no breakout room feature.
  • Sometimes the quality could be poor.
  • There was no option to poll participants.
It was great for smaller meetings (under six people) but any more than that and the quality was pretty poor on both audio and visual. Also, some participants were forced into downloading an application rather than just joining from their internet browser so that caused some issues and also there was no registration page which meant that we didn't have a clear idea of who was intending to attend.

We are constantly using BlueJeans to discuss the project requirements with our clients, to have internal conversations, and as an overall communication tool, it is working flawlessly, the loading time is great, the audio and video transmission is also good, no interference or lag even when multiple participants are on the call, screen sharing is so easy, it lets you select the monitor or screen to share, you can adjust the screen sharing and participants windows as well.<br><br>The app also is efficient when using resources, so it works great.
  • Screen sharing speed.
  • No lag.
  • Audio quality.
  • Screen adjusting.
  • Not aware if multiple participants can share at the same time.
  • Multiple participants.
  • When need to jump into a quick meeting.
  • Screen sharing sessions.

I currently use BlueJeans for facilitating executive team development sessions and senior leadership development programmes within large PLCs. Having been forced to shift to virtual delivery as a result of COVID19, I quickly had to find a stable and secure platform that enables me to continue delivering these session in a professional and engaging manner. BlueJeans provides the solution to this.
  • A secure platform that IT / IT Security professionals are confident in.
  • An excellent breakout room facility.
  • A stable platform.
  • One improvement would be the ability to broadcast messages to people in the breakout rooms; a feature that some other platforms have.
It is great for small team meetings, one to one sessions and running workshops for groups of around 9-12 delegates. I find it is less appropriate for groups of more than 9-12 due to not having the ability to see more than that on the screen at any one time (although that could be because I've not worked out the right settings).
For people using webcams (mirrored devices) for presenting, the ability to not mirror would be useful. For example, In the past I have wanted to stand in front of a physical Flipchart stand and write stuff up, but am unable to do this because the test appears backwards on the screen. Again, some other platforms already have this functionality.

We use BlueJeans in a variety of ways. Among them are the following:
  • We hold Bible approximately 90 Bible fellowships a week using the platform. This includes meetings that span as many as 10 countries at a time. The size of the meetings can range from 10 to 300 people.
  • We use BlueJeans for meetings among our managers and team leaders.
  • We use it to present classes and seminars.
  • One of the things that attracted us initially was that it allows for connections to be made to the meetings from a variety of devices, including telephones. We have some people who are not very technologically savvy so the ability to use a computer or not was important.
  • The facility to record meeting and then make those recordings available has significantly increased our ability to provide a library of content to our users.
  • Users like the flexibility of being able to change their own screen display from speaker view to gallery view and so forth.
  • We find that BlueJeans makes interaction between the different participants in the meeting very simple and easy.
  • Since we have people participating from different countries, the availability access numbers in many countries is a definite plus.
  • The availability to assign as many Meeting IDs as needed, including multiple meetings happening simultaneously is crucial for our purposes.
  • The option of the break-out rooms has been very useful. At times we want to have a meeting with everyone, then break people out for discussions or group exercises and that works very well in BlueJeans.
  • Currently, although the Meeting Moderator can mute the participants' microphones globally, the user has the option to turn their own mic back on. That makes sense for interactive meetings, but is terrible for when you're trying to make a presentation without interruption. It also makes it virtually impossible to record a presentation for later use without interruptions. There should be a setting which allows the moderator to turn off everyone else's microphones and over which they have no control until it's restored to them. Another option would be to have a separate product or setting designed for webinars or other types of meetings where you want to present material without interruption.
  • BlueJeans is terrible at being able to play video for the meeting participants. Yes, you can upload video to BlueJeans, have them convert it and then be able to use it, but that requires that the person doing the presenting have access to the complete back-end of the account. It's time-consuming and a bad idea from a security standpoint. The new "play video with audio" feature helps, but it's glitchy. Sometimes it won't allow you to hide the controls of the presenter from view of the users. There needs to be a way to natively play video from within the app. (Your competitors have this.)
  • There's a similar problem with playing live music over BlueJeans. I assume that because it was originally designed for business meetings, an environment where you want the audio to "hunt" for the strongest sound - presumably the voice of the person speaking that you want to be heard. However, in practice, if you try to have someone play a guitar and sing (for example), sometimes it suppresses the instrument and sometimes it suppresses the vocals as it tries to determine which of these two competing things to prioritize. The recent change to make it possible to turn off the background noise suppression on a meeting by meeting basis is a good step, but we still find it doesn't work very well.
  • There's currently no good way to play an audio recording for participants. (This is similar to the video problem.) If you do it as a screen share of a media app playing the audio, the sound levels are very low and sometimes muddy. You can "fake the system into doing it" by converting the audio file to a video and uploading the video, but why should we have to go to all of that effort just to play an audio clip?
BlueJeans is very well suited for small to medium-sized meetings that you want to be somewhat interactive in the sense that you want to hear from the participants. As mentioned previously, it doesn't work well for a situation where you are primarily wanting to present something to other people and don't want them interrupting. It's also not ideal for streaming a live event where, again, you're not particularly interested in interacting with the "audience" until perhaps the end.

My organization utilizes BlueJeans to teach high school classes via distance learning. BlueJeans has proved to be successful in connecting students to courses that they would normally not have access to at their respective schools.
  • Ease of use
  • Recording feature
  • Whiteboard access
  • The knock-knock waiting room feature But, it is my understanding that it will be available this summer.
BlueJeans has been a good solution to our classroom needs. It is easy to use and this is important with different users of various skill levels accessing the product from different devices. I think it is a good resource for any user that needs the ability to connect virtually. BlueJeans has always taken our feedback and made improvements to their product.

BlueJeans Meetings is a great video conferencing product. I used it since Beta and have watched its development into what it is today. The best way to describe it compared to others on the market is with a single word--it is just "cool," and getting cooler!
  • Easy to use
  • The interface is clean, uncluttered
  • High quality
  • Some great personalization features
  • Integration with iMac calendar; now it is only Outlook and Google
  • First choice for participants is to join with a browser, not client, as it is today
  • Quality of recorded content was not great

Bluejeans is used across the whole organization, starting from IT, sales, quality, and logistics.
Important decisions are taken considering that we are implementing a new ERP system.
During this lockdown period BlueJeans [Meetings] became fundamental for the sales and internal project.
We are implementing a new ERP completely without people presence. We have several meeting every day with more then 10 people to each meeting.
This without connection problem. In addition this system works perfectly with several platform.
  • Easy to use
  • Stable
  • Improve the quality for low bandwith connection
  • Sharing file could be a good improvement
Organizing meetings with different teams that are located in [a] different country. [BlueJeans Meetings allowed us] to save time and travel expenses.
In our organization there are no less appropriate scenario.
The decisions are more fast then before.

I use BlueJeans [Meetings] for 1 reason... it provides the best audio quality for my developers in India. If I have to deal with customers and not internal team I use my Zoom license because I don’t want to hear the customer complain about how they have try to figure out yet another collaboration tool. You should put a Zoom mode so that the UI can look like Zoom. I have developers in India and it performs the best from an audio quality as compared to MS Teams, WebEx, Zoom and Chime.
  • Audio quality
  • Scheduler so my calendar is synced
  • I built a self scheduling app on salesforce.com. I use it and allow customers to self schedule meetings through salesforce.com
  • No name recognition
  • Yet another UI that people are not familiar with. In this industry, if you are a follower, being different is not good
I have developers [in India] and If I can’t hear them clearly I struggle. I tried all of the top web [collaboration] vendors and by far [BlueJeans Meetings] wins out with voip audio quality.

Our company is a sales training franchise. Due to the pandemic, BlueJeans has become an invaluable resource to get our training and coaching out to our clients and business owners. We utilize the system for virtual training/lessons, coaching sessions, and general client meetings.
  • Records all meetings and provides a link to share.
  • The Technical Support staff is second to none! Always available to assist users with connection issues. They are able to see their system and help to correct and create a better experience.
  • Wish there was an easier way to search through a history of recordings.
  • Recent updates to the BlueJeans system have caused some Polycom issues.
I can't say enough about the customer service when calling the Technical Support Team. 9 out of 10 times, they always answer right away. They are extremely knowledgeable and always find the solution. I always call with the user conferenced in and they can help the user while I listen to the suggested corrections. By this, I have gained my own knowledge to assist our users.

Approximately 30 management members out of 200 total staff have a license for BlueJeans (BJ). BJ has been very useful in work from home (WFH) situations to setup more collaborative meetings across the enterprise. We also utilize BJ for Board meetings and select external meetings with customers or partners. A general use model.
  • Cost effective tool
  • Simple to utilize
  • Easy to integrate to Outlook environment
  • Have difficulty with the 'named user' licensing; each of our users are low volume.
  • Have had issues with initial setup by user (obtaining license, password process).
  • The ROOMS feature needs more explanation or case studies - could be useful but 'how'?
As functional, [but] less expensive, than some other options. Very good for smaller meetings without a lot of complexity. We are still ramping up our usage in more complex situations.

It's a user-friendly application to connect that offers the finest video and audio qualities for conferences. With extremely simple functionality [and] good features like screen sharing, presentation, [and] document sharing, you can easily set up online meetings and share information. You can share invitation information in the mail [or] WhatsApp [and] it will be automatically integrated with your calendar. There is also an on- and off-screen [option], you can record a session, [and] you can do real-time chat with members. It doesn't take much space on mobile. It's easy to install and operate.
Mostly sales and technical teams use this application. It saves a lot of time and travel expenses.
  • Very good video and audio quality with limited access to internet.
  • Screen sharing with limited access to internet.
  • Security. It provides enough security to share confidential documents.
  • Whiteboard presentation.
  • There is no options to change background.
  • Polls. It doesn't have any features for polling or voting.
In the current situation, we have not faced any issues to resolve queries or discussions with clients or colleagues. We have done many training programs for our clients as well for our employees. You can do a sales meeting without going to [the] client's place, [or] you can run a training program without booking a conference hall. This is the right platform to connect with people across the globe without reaching them physically.

It was used as our dominant video conferencing platform and for telehealth. We are no longer using it for telehealth. We have also significantly scaled back our use of BlueJeans for video conference calls and have migrated to a new platform.
  • Moderator Codes
  • Detailed Analytics
  • Customer Service
  • Video Quality
  • Prioritization of compression streams (audio >> video >> content)
  • Needs to hold up better in low bandwidth environments
  • Pricing is expensive
- Would not recommend for telehealth.
- It's good for basic video conferencing.
- Does not work so well with Cisco video codecs.

We used it across 120 users, 12 meeting rooms with 2 Dolly room systems. Also, for 3 global sales offices. The ability to use 2 TV screens, 1 for content and 1 for the heads, was a key factor in deciding to go with BlueJeans. Another reason was the detailed quality statistics in the admin center.
  • Duel screen
  • Admin
  • Call quality
  • Early on we thought security was poor
  • Not customizable
  • Some odd default settings for user meetings
Microsoft Teams is swallowing the universe. With video conference built into that product for no additional cost, it is hard to justify retaining BlueJeans for the whole user base. We would drop BlueJeans except where we have Dolby conference phones. In this example, we will use the BlueJeans Teams gateway product.

We use BlueJeans at Vacano Creative for all meetings with our clients and strategic partners. It serves as a perfect platform for face-to-face conversations, collaborative work sessions, onboarding and training, design reviews, and creative scrums. This is ideal for our agency, as we are an entirely remote team that serves clients nationwide. It's even more essential to us now, during the global pandemic, in that it further facilitates dialog with our clients' teams who would previously be gathered in a single office space.
  • Security: BlueJeans provides a properly secured platform for private meetings and discussions.
  • Audio: BlueJeans audio is transmitted crisply and with little to no latency.
  • Collaboration: BlueJeans comes with a well-thought-out suite of tools for onscreen collaboration, mark up, chat, and more, which helps ensure productive work meetings.
  • Recording: BlueJeans allows for high-quality recording of meetings, particularly useful for onboarding and training, and the recorded video is available almost immediately.
  • Video: In general, video quality is acceptable, but could be improved. Understandably, this is a tough nut to crack, given the proliferation of different cameras and variances in bandwidth, but having seen far better and more reliable video quality elsewhere, I am certain BlueJeans can do better... particularly with the power of Verizon's 5G network behind it.
  • Scheduling: A "nice to have" would be the ability to schedule meetings directly within the standalone application, rather than having to log in through the browser.
BlueJeans is a great platform for small group meetings and collaborations. I have not really experienced how it handles groups of 10 or more, but I imagine its performance is comparable with competitors in this regard.

In my mind, BlueJeans really shines in the area of meetings where activity needs to be recorded for later use, such as training and onboarding.

And of course, meetings requiring any sort of privacy or security (which is EVERY meeting, as far as I am concerned) are squarely in BlueJeans' sweet spot. It is truly wonderful not having to even think about the possibility of uninvited "guests" crashing the party, nor having to deal with clumsy, tacked-on "security" measures.

Right now it's used in all service areas, by everyone in our company, except for accounting. Anything that has to do with interacting with clients, BlueJeans is our most used communication tool. It's used for meetings with clients, as a virtual conference room. It's used in the recruitment department to conduct interviews. It's used the most in our training department to give workshops, courses, and coaching sessions.
  • It's "robust" compared to Zoom, it feels more effective.
  • The basic tools are perfect for almost every virtual interaction.
  • Sound and image quality are really good.
  • The recently added background function is a huge plus!
  • Customer service is always available and extremely helpful.
  • Recording feature is very helpful with our training products.
  • All features are pretty easy to understand.
  • I would prefer more color in the main panel. It helps with finding different features.
BlueJeans is perfect for corporate use, maybe less so for private users with little technological knowledge. It's perfect for meeting rooms and, in our experience, for individual online classes. We've tried large classrooms and it did not go too well... not sure if we don't know what tools to use, but it was difficult to keep an overview of all participants (visually).

We are using BlueJeans to offer on-line classes and one-to-one meetings that should be recorded. It has proved to be a valuable tool to overcome logistic problems when people are scattered in different areas and to make recordings available in an easy way.
  • BlueJeans is very good at allowing sharing.
  • It's quite reliable as we have never had connection instability problems.
  • The technical support is responsive.
  • Lack of instructions in Italian, which is a widespread language available on other platforms
  • A local recording option to prevent loss of recordings would be great.
  • When you upgrade you cannot compensate with the amount you have already paid, but you have to pay the whole amount and keep the credit for the following year.
BlueJeans is good for English language learners, and the use is quite intuitive. It's not so good for those speaking other languages due to a lack of translations. Moreover attending meetings without downloading the app is not so intuitive...I think it's bad to force people to download the app. Safari users sometimes have problems in connecting without the app.

Since we're a pretty small company (7 people), we use BlueJeans across the whole organization. We mainly use it for team talks where we detail product planning and presentations, then we can move forward with product qualification. We also use BlueJeans to have initial customer calls if they do not have a preferred platform.
  • User interface
  • Video quality
  • Moderator tools (easily mute)
  • Startup is fast
  • I don't like that I can't schedule from the desktop Mac app.
  • Ever since the merge with Verizon, I've had freezing issues in almost every call. I corrected the severe freezing by turning off location services for my calendar app (it caused BlueJeans to overload my CPU).
  • It's misleading when you say "Dolby audio" or video is being sent/received when it's a very low resolution or standard audio quality.
I usually like to use Blue Jeans in customer calls and team meetings. I like using the platform in these scenarios because it allows me to select certain windows to display instead of just "presentation" or "whole window." This is really great when I have multiple presentations to show and certain data points to read from that I don't want to show.

BlueJeans works for us!

When Covid hit, we like many companies, found ourselves unable to travel for business. I had an important four day long meeting with a client scheduled in May which it looked more and more was likely to be canceled or indefinitely postponed. But we didn't want to cancel and lose the momentum we had gained up to that point. So, we looked for an alternative solution. A solution which allowed interactivity on many levels. BlueJeans was the choice we made.
  • We use the white board feature at nearly every meeting.
  • The audio and video quality are very good.
  • It just works. It meets our needs to hold in-person meetings with clients from across the country and gives us the tools to enable creative discourse and production planning.
  • The process of joining a meeting can be confusing to less than technically savvy users. We have one client who is older and consistently has difficulties synchronizing between the desktop client and the web-based interface. I'm still not exactly sure what he's doing. But, we'll be five minutes into a meeting and he will see a pop-up window appear asking if he wants to log into BlueJeans. I should have taken the time to contact support. But, I have yet to do so.
  • One other issue is that there is no white board save feature. If we are done explaining a concept on the whiteboard and have gone back to the "general session" and then someone has a novel idea about the white board diagram, we go back to the whiteboard function and the previous work is gone. We now work around that by snapping screenshots periodically (when we remember to) but often, when ideas are flying and concepts are being flushed out, there is not a lot of time to remember to screenshot something. I'm not sure how this would work technically, or if it's even possible. But, it would be great to leave content on the whiteboard until the user decides to "erase" it.
My company produces videos for various clients across the country. We use BlueJeans to allow us to conduct pre-production meetings, sharing concepts, ideas, designs and working through the intricacies of the production process. We can (and usually will) spend hours per meeting in very detailed discussions of scene-by-scene visuals, graphics, artwork and backgrounds. BlueJeans has allowed us to continue pushing forward with a number of clients despite limited travel abilities.

BlueJeans is used internally by most of the Sales, Support, and Merchandising Teams here in our UK office along with our offices in Germany and Belgium to help staff meet and collaborate with other staff and those external to the company. I would say that the Technical Team probably uses this the most, as we have been very heavily relying on BlueJeans to provide demonstrations of products and services to end customers during the ongoing pandemic and the functionality within BlueJeans has meant we can keep that level of professionalism that would normally be seen in the boardroom in person, to translate across to a digital meeting.
  • Simplicity: It is easy to join meetings whether you have used it before or not.
  • Sharing content: Allows you to easily share your screen, or parts of your screen to collaborate with others during a call.
  • The ability to invite people from both within and outside of the organization, along with dialing in videoconferencing, room systems is a real bonus.
  • Quizzes/Polls App: It would be great if they could introduce something like a quiz app within the interface for things like training classes, where instructors could prepare questions to launch for participants to answer. I think Zoom does this with their "polls," but haven't come across this functionality in BlueJeans yet.
  • Not much else I can think of that I would like to see different at the moment.
BlueJeans has never been unsuited for a use-case from personal use. It works flawlessly, allowing quick and simple joining whether you are part of the BlueJeans account or if you are outside of the organization. I have tested and used several solutions over the last couple of years and BlueJeans "just works." It may sound corny to say that, but I have not had issues with it picking up webcams and microphones, etc. like I have with other solutions. It is great for conference calls, training/webinars, and demonstrations.

BlueJeans is being used across the organization. It has become an invaluable tool in maintaining business function during the current coronavirus pandemic. It is absolutely indispensable. It allows teams to communicate with each other on a secure, stable platform that is user friendly and reliable. It has enabled the charity to benefit from the expertise of professionals and to attract new trustees who would otherwise not have been able to attend physical meetings.
  • Host multiple participants with ease
  • Is accessible for blind users using speech software
  • Setting up meetings is particularly easy and efficient.
  • Include an audible clue when participants want to contribute to a discussion - useful for a chair who is blind.
  • Phone dial-in could be simplified.
  • The name isn’t obvious or recognized - when suggesting to other companies that we use BlueJeans, they are all on Zoom or Teams (both are inferior).
BlueJeans is well suited for internal meetings. We have held meetings and training sessions with multiple participants with ease. Extremely reliable connections, the chair being able to adjust screen displays for all participants is particularly useful.

Perhaps not so useful when trying to convene meetings with different companies as the name isn’t as well known as it should be in the UK.

BlueJeans is used across my sales team and their managers. We use it for regular meetings, training, one on one conversations, clients meetings, as well as recording for clients. It helps us connect with our customers one on one. From my role, it helps me keep my team engaged and make meetings more effective.
  • Easy room setup and joining
  • Love the fact I can have the same meeting ID for my meetings
  • Can join in seconds
  • Wish I could set another reoccurring meeting with another meeting ID.
  • For the large group meetings where it’s presentation mode for most, changing the waiting room music. I hate the current one every time I’m waiting for a meeting to start.
I mean, it’s suited for everything. Face-to-face is huge.

Anyone and everyone can use BlueJeans. I don’t know where it wouldn’t be appropriate.

We use BlueJeans as the preferred system for video confereing and audio conferencing for our internal and external meetings. Our company has presence in USA and India and multiple locations within each country. BlueJeans is convenient as it allows us to send out a calendar invite to our colleagues right from inside the app and also connect on any device they are on. Also it’s very easy to connect to the video conferencing in our conference rooms.
  • Very easy to use on all device types (laptops, phones, and tablets)
  • The interface is simple.
  • I can send invites and schedule meetings from my phone.
  • Would love a feature to have full screen view on phone
  • Sometimes it takes more bandwidth than Zoom.
  • They can simplify the UI within the meeting when it is in progress.
It's very well suited for meetings with multiple parties in multiple places, especially when some are in their office as BlueJeans connects very well to the video conferencing facility in the offices. It doesn’t need any special hardware, just a URL and meeting details.

It's not ideal if only voice calls are needed as the bandwidth consumed is high.

This solution helps any company to reduce their travel costs and expenses, the content sharing feature allows all attendees to follow the meeting and interact with the presenter. It's very easy to use and any user can connect a wide range of devices (laptops, room systems, mobile phones, etc.), or you can use it to set your conference calls
