As all our customers are overseas we run about 40 video conferencing sessions per week. We have 40 licensed users and a set of floating licenses. We have 12 meeting rooms and currently we have 2 set up with 2 TVs and Dolby conference phones. We were looking for more user friendly scheduling and usage compare to products we had used in the past.
  • There is a lot of performance data for admins to tune and troubleshoot the service.
  • The Dolby conference phone provides excellent VC quality.
  • Flexibility in room setup.
  • More granular security controls. i.e force pass-codes.
  • Account management could be better.
  • Visibility and control over upgrades.
Video conferencing where both face to face and Screen sharing are needed. 2 TVs side by side with a Dolby conference phone allow clear facial discussions with large screen share capability.

It is used across my department across two to three locations. We use it for our daily standups/weekly meetings. I use it for my 1:1's with remote employees and my staff. My department has employees in India (two locations) and the US ( two locations), and we use BlueJeans to interact across the locations.
  • Very simple to setup. The app is great. Screen sharing is very easy.
  • Easily connects with external AV systems.
  • Great support. When I had a few issues, they jumped on a call and provided details on problems and how could we fix them.
  • The meeting subject is not visible in the conference. The interface mentions "My meeting."
  • Video/audio quality is generally good but sensitive to bandwidth/network drops.
  • Whiteboard feature would be a great addition.
Staff meetings, long meetings, 1:1's with remote employees. The meeting interface is very simple and can be set up very easily. The meeting experience with a large audience beyond 30 can improve.

Mostly BlueJeans is used by our strategic team for business discussion with our subsidiaries. However, our operational team also uses BlueJeans to coordinate and solve any issue with partners or customers.
  • Easy setup in a new room
  • Simple and intuitive UI
  • Stable performance
  • Better internet routing selection
  • Mandatory typing of passcode instead of join by direct link
  • Even though it is BlueJeans, I think it's ok if users can change their color theme
It's great for companies with many mobile employees or branches. Since it's simple, anyone can use it easily.

We use BlueJeans to broadcast our 30-minute Facebook Live show called Spirit Sessions on the Akashic Academy Network Facebook page. I also use it for show production meetings and interviews with potential guests.
  • It’s a stable internet broadcast Facebook platform fewer glitches than Facebook Live.
  • It's easy to use.
  • The how-to videos are great
  • The support on phone is good.
  • The interface with Facebook could be improved—can’t see comments.
  • Being able to add background music would be nice.
  • Screen sharing could be more intuitive.
The group meetings are great. There's no time limit; people can easily come and go.

BlueJeans is used by our entire organization. I find that our Advisory Services team uses it the most. It addresses the issue of our nonprofit having various locations - everyone can be connected even though they're not in the same room. We are also able to have external meetings with clients without having to physically meet them.
  • BlueJeans does a good job of bringing us together as an organization and allows us to host virtual meetings, physical proximity not necessary. This adds flexibility to our work and work locations.
  • BlueJeans' user interface highlights the person speaking by switching them back and forth between prominent screens and participant screens.
  • BlueJeans' customer support is prompt and responds in a timely manner. They make live humans available when needed.
  • Sometimes we have connection issues with BlueJeans. These have been determined to be on their server end and not our ISP. A screen might freeze, the video might be pixelated, or the audio quality might be compromised, due to a faulty connection.
  • When we signed up with BlueJeans, we purchased a package that later became unavailable, but we were not notified. We are now unable to add new seats to our account, and do not retain any seats that we delete.
  • Some parts of the user interface are not intuitive. I had trouble with the controls at first, and couldn't get my audio to work.
  • As the administrator, I cannot view or manage the recordings of other employees, and am unable to see who has breached their allotted recording amount. I feel that the admin should have the ability to do that.
It is well suited for virtual meetings where participants are in different locations/time zones. I don't consider it not well suited for any other scenarios, unless meeting participants are in the same room. In a case like that, it is ideal to have participants share the mic and video camera.

Two people in our organization have accounts, but we invite several team members to meetings. We mainly use BlueJeans for client meetings to share our screens. Team members and clients are often in different locations with limited availability, so BlueJeans allows us to present slide decks, collaborate on material, and walk people through the steps for processes live.
  • My favorite thing about BlueJeans is greater democratization of use compared to other tools I've used. The moderator does not have to be on the call for it to begin and everyone has the same and equal ability to share their screen. I believe you can limit that, but that default is great for us.
  • There is the option to download the app or use a web browser, which helps when meeting with people who have security restrictions on downloads.
  • There are a few things you can customize - I like that I set up the default for computer audio but not video - then I can select to use video on the call if I want. I also like that I set the default for the phone number options to be Canadian, which I can also change in the invite.
  • While I like that the web browser is an option, it's not always clear to the people I'm inviting to a meeting. I have found technical confusion with every tool so this is not a unique issue.
  • Some features have been unreliable. I liked the Outlook add-on but it hasn't worked in months despite re-downloading.
It's well-suited for smaller and newer companies. It's easier, more accessible, and less expensive than standard alternatives like WebEx. There are challenges if you deal with a lot of security restrictions, such as employees not being able to download things. It is also less known by people I have worked with, so each time I tell them it will take a few minutes to download it for their first time. Generally they are able to follow the directions from BlueJeans to set up easily enough.

It is used across my organization. Business Development and Sales use it the most. We use it to have a face-to-face contact with customers, also countries where the internet is not very reliable, with BlueJeans we can have a conference call without a problem. When my salespeople are on the road and they need to have a conference call, BlueJeans works better for them than trying to link the call through their cell phone.
  • Where the internet is not very reliable
  • On the road
  • For International conference call
  • I found that when we need to record a training or presentation there is no way to edit the recording
  • Also, I wish we can find add-ons or peripherals that are plug and play with this platform that allows us to improve our training presentations
  • Sometimes I would like to have the person that is presenting and the whiteboard at the same time showing on the video

My education team is geographically spread across the state and uses BlueJeans to implement seizure recognition & first aid trainings across the Chicago metro area and central Illinois. We are now able to reach more schools, more communities, and more individuals to raise awareness about epilepsy and empower them with first aid information. Distance is no longer a barrier.
  • I like that I can show my Powerpoint right in my screen.
  • I would love the functionality whiteboard while sharing my Powerpoint screen. Sometimes it is helpful to point or highlight something on my presentation
  • Sometimes the party on the receiving end has trouble with sound. It would be great if BJ had a top 5, how to prepare for a BJ video call type of list that I can have readily available to troubleshoot. Sometimes schools are not tech savvy.
Team meetings when staff is geographically spread out.
Not suited for public places, the mic pics up ALL sound.
Really great to jump on a quick video call and chat with a school nurse about a quick issue.

My executive has a global span of responsibility and uses BlueJeans several ways. For small meetings -
weekly global team meetings of under 10 executives - we use BlueJeans because the team can interface easily - much like sitting around the conference room table. For larger meetings of 100 people, we use BlueJeans because it is reliable, easy to connect globally to polycom rooms, laptops and phones as well as affords us the ability to smoothly upload presentations which may even include videos. After each meeting, one can access a detailed report of who called, when they joined, from which device they used, and when they left - as well as lots of technical information.
  • Excellent customer service. Strong team - sales rep who responds very quickly to all questions; on-boarding specialist and technical rep to walk you through your set up.
  • Audio and video are excellent along with ability to connect to polycom rooms, laptops, phones.
  • Very easy to send and receive invitations.
  • Really can't think of any.
Well suited for one-on-one customers who can quickly accept an invitation and see a presentation or video
from a laptop or even from their phone.

Well suited for small or large meetings up to 100 people from all across the globe with the ability to record.

Used for meetings and professional development both within the organization and also for events involving invited participants.
  • Variety of devices
  • Technical support
  • Recording options
  • Dynamic bandwidth adoption
  • More screens viewable
  • File transfer
  • Create breakout rooms on the fly
Any group meeting, professional development, reviewing videos, well suited. Not suited to quick connection one to one, like Skype. You can't call someone, so it's not suited for joint working on documents. Also not good for recording a high definition version of the meeting.

Of our six employees, just I and my Deputy ED use BlueJeans, for calls with committees and with the Executive Committee of the board. We have not yet used it for larger groups such as our entire 45-person board of directors.
  • NEVER drops calls
  • Never gets staticky or has a delay (like Skype)
  • Can be used on a computer or phone
  • If my board members (many of whom are outside the US) are not near wifi they can still call in from an international number without incurring charges for calling the US
  • I would like to see an official nonprofit pricing structure—I had to email to ask about this and they said they were refunding some of my money which is great....but I haven't seen that yet.
Great for talking one-on-one with my board president in Australia without him having to incur long-distance charges, and it's like he's sitting in the same room. Crystal clear. Great for multi-user conversations, including some who are calling in audio-only via their phones.

Across the full organization. Our production/creative teams use it the most. It allows for us to speak with clients from across the world, and have numerous people join without needing to conference anyone in. BlueJeans makes it easy to schedule and send invitations all within the browser. The screensharing tools are extremely helpful as well.
  • You don't necessarily need to download the app and can join straight from the browser
  • It works across several countries
  • Screensharing is very easy
  • I wish there was an Apple TV app for BlueJeans
  • Decreased cost for a BlueJeans Conference Room (we're a small company)
  • I wish you could schedule video conferences through the mobile app
  • I wish you could record the video streams of each side of the video conference separately (we could use this in production)
We use BlueJeans for everything! We often have video conferences with clients from around the world, and this is the one platform we use since it works so well universally. We especially like the fact that you don't need to have an account to join, and that you don't need to download the app either.

I use BlueJeans as a single subscriber in my organization. I use it for video conferencing and screen sharing, as most of our employees are not located in the same office. I also use it with 3rd party vendors and other external meetings. I find it very easy to use, and it generally works without technical issues. It does take up a lot of bandwidth and memory during meetings, and my laptop does not have a lot of horsepower, so that sometimes slows down other applications, but overall it works better than others that I've tried.
  • Easy for non BlueJeans regular users to access your meetings
  • Good integration with Google Calendars for adding BlueJeans to meetings
  • Easy to have adhoc meetings with a consistent meeting ID
  • It would be great if it took up less memory and bandwidth during active meetings

BlueJeans is currently being managed by a team that delivers videoconferencing services across campus, and it's also integrated to our CANVAS platform to be used by faculty. Its use is quite moderate, since not all of our courses require online meetings. We have had wide experience using it with our room systems on campus, and for courses imparted by professors outside our country. It's been very helpful to have an easy-to-use service that can be delivered to anyone who requires it. Furthermore the new features such as direct stream to Facebook have allowed us to offer new ways to deliver content to our audience for events in larger rooms, auditoriums, etc.
  • Alternatives to join meetings from different types of systems.
  • Great pricing models and more features included than other alternatives for cloud based videoconferencing services.
  • Very reliable, easy to use interface backed by a stable service that performs well in many situations.
  • Very low bandwidth and network resources required when compared to Skype.
  • Missing essential features expected in a cloud videoconferencing service such as the ability to record chats after a meeting.
  • Limited in-meeting controls for moderators. A moderator lacks the option to completely remove the audio channel of other participants, which can be a hassle when a lot of novice users are connected.
  • Documentation isn't always updated and is not very specific or detailed.
BlueJeans is a great tool for online meetings where you want every participant to connect with audio and video, so everyone sees and speaks to each other in a very natural sort of way. Its tendency is to make meetings as fluid and hassle free as possible, so people can interact as if they were in the same room. However, if what you need is a tool to deliver webinars where only a select few need to transmit audio and/or video, I would look for another alternative designed for this specific purpose.

We have been using BlueJeans successfully to execute virtual classes in and out of state. We are a small company and we have students all over as well as our 2 partners. They also teach from different states. This platform has worked for us to be able to include both instructors and a variety of students live and virtually.
  • The large screen shows the current person talking. This lets our viewers see the instructors or someone asking a particular question clearly.
  • We always tend to have a bit of a delay.
I think in general preparation meetings BlueJeans works great! When we are doing exercise work or dance work, one-on-one works great, but multiple people can become a bit of a challenge.

I use BlueJeans for team meetings across the company, but mostly within the hardware/software engineering team that I lead.
  • very good video quality
  • maintains connections much more consistently than Google Hangouts, Slack, Skype
  • dial-in phone number and mobile apps make it convenient when users are mobile or don't have a great internet connection
  • UI can be confusing sometimes about who is/isn't talking or in the meeting
It's been head-and-shoulders better in my experience than Google Hangouts. You get what you pay for. I have not tried it for large meetings (more than 15 people) so I can't speak to how well it works for that.

BlueJeans is being used for a fortnightly video conference for our political organization's leaders meetings. It is just our state team of New South Wales, not the whole country. It serves the purpose of having face to face regular contact for leaders across a wide geographical area, keeping us on the same page with campaigns and developments within the party.
  • It allows up to 75 people in one video conference which seems higher than other packages for the price
  • It highlights who is talking by putting their video profile at the top
  • It gives options for display
  • The chat box is helpful
  • I would like to see the ability to save the chat notes - maybe a download to Word file button?
  • I would like to see all the users on one page more easily, even if only smaller video clips, with the ability to highlight certain people on the screen (i.e., favourites to keep in view)
  • I would like the chat window to stay visible, not have to choose between having it or other slide-out windows.
Very useful for a large number of people needing regular scheduled meetings (especially for geographically diverse members)

Adobe is using BlueJeans across many departments in the business. The business problem specific to me - it allows me to have calls with my prospects and clients.
  • Is very intuitive so allows all people to participate in the meeting in a very interactive manner
  • Has a very reliable network
  • It just works
  • Breakout rooms
  • More integrations
It is very well suited to my role because it is quick to generate a meeting link with little to no admin behind the interface. Being in sales this needs to be intuitive to allow customers to interact with the meeting and it serves that purpose very well.

We are rolling out Bluejeans at Adobe and the experience has been on the whole excellent. The app is easy to download and install and customers can join meetings very easily. The screensharing capability is smooth and works well, I like the ability to ink on the screen when sharing. The only issues we've been having is around some small packet loss during voice calls. Their support team is working very closely with Adobe to iron these out and the performance has improved greatly over the last weeks.
  • Easy to join meetings
  • Simple to use once joined
  • Good screensharing capability
  • Slight packet loss issues when using mobile devices

I use BlueJeans for all my communications with others around the world -- individual, small groups and even webinars. BlueJeans provides me with one very affordable, reliable, and easy to use tool for all my communications needs vs. an assortment of other tools that bring all sorts of complications.
  • Nothing for the other party to install. It seems to work with everything.
  • I sometimes work in environments with background noise. The Dolby technology virtually eliminates the problem.
  • It's just so simple, well designed and easy to use.
  • The Dolby technology seems to set a threshold for the maximum volume level. Sometimes I'd like more volume.
Great fit for individual and small group meetings. Works well for webinars, but it clearly doesn't have all the features of dedicated system. You can experience some difficulties if you have a slow Internet connection.

BlueJeans is currently used by our entire organization. The executive and talent ops (HR) teams use it the most. We had previously been using Skype for Business, though it was causing headaches for our users. Everything of Skype not signing in to being unable to join meetings to being dropped from meetings was fairly common.

An executive got word of BlueJeans as a product and asked for it. We first rolled it out to the Executive team and they loved it! They have very few issues and, when they do, BlueJeans has live (and very responsive) phone support to assist.
  • Easy meeting joins, especially using a BlueJeans Puck (conference phone). Everything ends up being one-tap-to-join.
  • Screen sharing is particularly fast on BlueJeans. Both connecting to a share and viewing the share are very smooth experiences
  • Whenever there is trouble, BlueJeans has never (in my experience) taken more than 5-10 minutes to start working with me on the problem. Usually I can call and immediately get a person on the other end (within 10 seconds).
  • As of the last time I checked (earlier this year) BlueJeans cannot replace a POTS line. Meetings can be created and dial-in numbers can be used, but so far I have not seen a "dial-out" functionality.
  • The Outlook extension, while useful, is not as neatly integrated as it could be. Occassionally I need to restart Outlook to get it to show up again
  • Integration with macOS isn't as tight as it is with Windows. Granted, this is also an issue on Skype, but it's worth mentioning.
BlueJeans is excellent for both meetings within the company as well as meetings with people outside of the company. BlueJeans works with Chrome out of the box without needing to install an add-on/extension. This is miles better than other conferencing solutions as there is less troubleshooting to perform for outside people.

If you primarily need to dial out to a phone number, however, this may not be the product for you. I have heard that they are going to be introducing this feature, but I do not know when.

Our company uses BlueJeans in two forms. The first way we use it is in all our meetings, being we have employees across the globe it is a easy way to communicate. The second and most important use is integrating BlueJeans into our platform. Being an E-learning provider, it is essential to provide our users live events and with BlueJeans we are able to do that.
  • Unrivaled in the number of users allowed on calls
  • Integration with browsers
  • Screen sharing
  • Better integration with IE
  • Outage alerts more real-time. On a few occasions, we were the ones to report the issue not the other way around.
BlueJeans is well suited in providing Tech support. We have seamlessly integrated BlueJeans into our platform.

We use BlueJeans as one of our conferencing solutions. From a user standpoint, it's easy for them to connect on any device that they choose, be it a conference endpoint, mobile device, or a laptop. From a support perspective, it's simple to administer and once the account is set up, we really have no additional interaction as the user interface is simple and self-explanatory.

BlueJeans allows us to involve our global partners without requiring anyone to travel. It's also helpful for our HR team when qualifying candidates who may not be local.
  • Easy for users to understand and use the BlueJeans applications. User satisfaction is high and need for support is low!
  • BlueJeans' service is nearly 100% reliable--almost never have to cancel or reschedule a meeting because the system was unavailable or not working.
  • Simple-to-use meeting recording makes it possible to involve people who would not have otherwise benefitted from a meeting actually benefit from a meeting.
  • User onboarding process is kind of a pain in the neck--I just think it's too much data-entry.
  • When users haven't used the BlueJeans app for awhile, it's entirely possible that it will want to update itself before joining a meeting. This causes some people to join meetings a couple of minutes later than they wanted.
  • Any conferencing solution requires a high speed connection at both ends in order to work well. Users sometimes get frustrated with the quality of BlueJeans calls when the problem is less of a BlueJeans issue and is actually an end user bandwidth issue.
BlueJeans works exceptionally well for meetings that someone is scheduling in advance. The calendar integration is good and all of the information needed to join the meeting is available and clearly marked in the meeting notice.

For simple 1 on 1 meetings, it's possible that BlueJeans is overkill, but it does work well. But, other technologies like FaceTime or Google Hangouts may be something that users are more familiar with.
