BlueJeans is our standard platform for delivering live webinars to our students. It is being used by most lecturers in the professional education department at our university. It allows us to schedule and notifies all students when the instructor schedules a webinar, and automatically records it and making it available to students. It is very convenient to use.
  • Scheduling
  • Notification
  • Recording
  • Hard to share my screen and see user questions at same time. Should make it easier to move chat screen to different window.
BlueJeans is well suited for E-learning.

BlueJeans is being used across the whole organization, across 14 countries. It is used for all the departments.
  • The system works properly when we have problems related to networking issues.
  • The possibility to choose exactly the screen that we want to share, based on the tool and document is an important feature.
  • When we use presentation mode, it is not possible to screen-share in the same way. We are only able to share what is in our screen in this case.
  • I would like the users to be able to share more than one screen, side-by-side.
For regular meetings, BlueJeans works very well. We have some problems when the max number of attendants is reached (I think 199). Sometimes it is not possible to mute them all, which is another problem.

I work in the Manufacturing Excellence Department. We are responsible for ensuring optimal manufacturing performance throughout our network of plants in greater Africa through application, training and coaching operational staff in standardized work practices. Also, to ensure that our organizational design is optimized and personnel capability is being developed continuously. I use the app on a daily basis. I can not function without it or similar software.
  • Clear means of communicating.
  • Real time
  • Ease of use
  • Seamless integration with MS Office Outlook.
It works great for meetings and training where visual aid is required. It is not ideal to have more than 4 active callers at a time. Communication effectiveness reduces dramatically. The quality of the communication is also severely affected if the data connection is poor, which we sometimes suffer from. It would be nice for basic training. Video could be available to teach new users about the key success factors for great meetings in BlueJeans

BlueJeans is being across the organization. While we have two different solutions (BlueJeans and MS Teams), for all the collaboration involving external stakeholders BlueJeans only is being used. For internal conversations, we go with either BlueJeans or Teams. For other kinds of conversations, ranging from brainstorming, reviews, demos, to customer interactions, we use BlueJeans.
  • Recording Quality: audio, video have been good
  • Dial-in option is handy, especially while dealing with calls from low bandwidth locations.
  • Mobile app is intuitive from UX point of view
  • The "Call Me" needs to be further streamlined. For example, when I used the "Call Me" option, sometimes I get the call from a US-based (+1) number and sometimes from an India-based (+91). There have been multiple occasions where I am not connected to the call or the call just gets dropped. You may need to work with the service provider in the respective locations.
  • Duplication of participant list in the recordings
  • I had been using the Windows Desktop app, and there had been issues while screen sharing. The desktop app was reinstalled, but nothing much helped.
  • Until some time ago, we have seen participants being dropped from meetings randomly. While I haven't seen this in the recent past, they need to actively track these stats and proactively take measures to fix these issues.
My team members get into meetings at different times and collaborate with stakeholders across multiple time zones, and they need to able to join calls from low bandwidth regions at times. The Dial-In is a very helpful feature of BlueJeans.

Used across the organization, most often to connect remote employees to headquarters via VC, or different headquarters together.
  • Easy to schedule.
  • Screen-share capabilities.
  • Flexible interface.
  • Connectivity.
  • Integration with Google Calendar is spotty.
  • Moderator passcode is an option even when turned off.
1:1 meetings, small group meetings, and interoffice conversations function really well over BlueJeans. The larger the setting, the less productive I find BlueJeans. Sound and visuals get trickier the more traffic there is.

BlueJeans is being used across the whole organization. We use it to have videoconferences with colleagues and students and to conduct webinars for our students.
  • Call quality is consistent.
  • Easy to schedule and invite participants.
  • It would be great to have the capacity to create breakout rooms during a webinar.
  • I would like more options for how all the participants appear on my screen when we have many people on a call.
It works really well for conference calls with 2-8 people. I find that there are fewer glitches on BlueJeans than I have experienced in other platforms. It gets a little tougher when there are more people on the call because you can’t see everyone and there is no capacity for creating breakout rooms.

We use BlueJeans for distributed team meetings (4-7 people) as well as for 30-80 people recorded office hour discussions. In the team meetings, all members use video & audio simultaneously, while in the office hours the majority of the members are observing the audio/video feed of our 1-2 presenters but typically only use audio or chat to ask questions one at a time. It allows us to have synchronous meetings with distributed team members. (Every member of my team logs in from a separate location).
  • BlueJeans allows me to send out a single URL and it "just works" for the majority of users in a web browser.
  • It does a great job with small meetings where everyone is participating, allowing multi-window views of all participants.
  • In large meetings, it would be nice to have a moderation queue feature where individuals could put in a request to speak, and a token would be passed down the queue allowing one at a time to speak. Currently, we auto-mute the participants and ask them to coordinate un-muting themselves one by one.
BlueJeans works great when every participant has a headset or headphones at a minimum. Users who try to use speakers and a laptop built-in microphone get echos and feedback, so they may need to mute their mic when others speak. BlueJeans does offer a "phone in" feature, which works great for audio-only conferences. Some of our users will export video via their computer, but use their phone for the audio.

We are using the BlueJeans for all kinds of meetings that involve projecting presentations, sending videos, as well as chatting in case the participants can't speak because of a private situation. We are a collaboration of many scientists all over the world, and BlueJeans is mainly used for discussing scientific results and the strategy of an experiment.
  • Presentations are clearly displayed.
  • Sounds are good.
  • 323 is not supported. It's a downside when your personal meeting wants to connect to a conventional video conference.
  • Sometimes sound break up.
It is suitable to accommodate many people and get all of them on the same page. BlueJeans can easily accommodate more than 50 people. Presentations and live discussions can also be held. The downside is that H323 is not supported. If your network is not good, your sound breaks up.

Our whole company uses it daily since we have offices across the country. It definitely helps cross-office collaboration on projects, check-ins, etc.
  • Creates easy collaboration between professionals across the country.
  • The user interface is intuitive.
  • Screen sharing could be easier, especially when done wirelessly.
BlueJeans is well suited for startups and large companies that need to communicate quickly and consistently no matter the professional's location.

Whole organization. Customer service for B2B & B2E, allowing virtual meetings with clients.
  • Recording meetings for later usage.
  • In meeting chat for communication between attendees.
  • Export of chat logs post meeting.
  • Computer audio vs phone audio quality. The computer tends to have less audio quality issues.
Training of products. Initial program introduction meetings.

We use BlueJeans across the whole organization. Because we are active in over 30 countries with no other connectivity between them, BlueJeans solves geographic, connectivity and compatibility issues in communicating internally as well as with external stakeholders.
  • Join meetings regardless of device.
  • Sharing of content with the choice of sharing screen vs specific applications.
  • Audio-video not always in sync (especially on lower bandwith networks).
  • Lower bandwidth requirement (relates to the first comment).
Suited for: Geographically spread sales team calls, multinational project team meetings, and one on one/multiple meetings where content needs to be discussed.

Less suited: larger (20+) meetings where you don't hold tight control as the moderator, and also because of the dependency on the quality of audio equipment on the user side.

In Terex we use BJ for video and audio calls with team members across the globe for meetings discussions, etc. The main issue I have often faced is the call clarity not being good, on-off voice during the call or the message appearing as “ network issues." Many times I have faced issues related to connection despite a high bandwidth internet zone.
  • The share option.
  • Annotation while on the call isn’t great. Need more options for user-friendly ways to annotate or sketch especially for engineering discussions.
  • Presentation mode with 2 LCD screens. A laptop with an additional monitor is a major challenge as sharing doesn’t work often with 2 LCDs.
Easy to use for a video conference call, can share files during the call, screen sharing option is good, and overall, the interface and the options to use while on the call are good. Needs improvement in call clarity, better annotating options and presentation modes. Especially multi-screen sharing with lap prop and extra monitor situations.

As a worldwide company, we use BlueJeans daily to manage our operations and update our teams on projects and progress. We use it for a large variety of meetings, from screen sharing between two-people to larger groups (15+) doing project reviews. It allows us to reduce travels and gain time by easing communication.
  • Screen sharing.
  • Meeting management.
  • Remote control is not possible to help remotely.
  • Background blurring.
Bluejeans is useful for any kind of meeting, from 2 people needing to have a more direct exchange via webcam to large meetings with 15+ people around the world. BlueJeans is not to be used if you need software to remotely help colleagues or do some IT support.

We use BlueJeans throughout the organization. The marketing department piloted it and we rolled it out company-wide. Because of that, the marketing group uses it most widely. We work in a separate location from the rest of the org, so it's used heavily for split meetings and presentations.
  • The UI is pretty easy to navigate.
  • Integration with the Microsoft Suite is easy - One button click to add it to your meeting.
  • Background noise is often picked up and makes call quality just alright.
  • Some users have difficulty sharing their screen and it will crash the program.
BlueJeans does best when the users are near the mic and/or they are on a laptop - the quality on a laptop is very high. It's challenged when there is a single mic in a large room of people, the technology has trouble differentiating between a speaker and background noise.

We BlueJeans in meetings with professors and TA's. Sometimes we use it to discuss group projects. We are all located in different places in the world, and BlueJeans helps us all stay connected.
  • Video conferencing.
  • Screen-sharing.
  • Not always the most reliable, especially with screen-sharing.
Group projects are a good use case where we can discuss and share our output. However, screen sharing should be zoomable for everyone to see. Occasionally, the other end would see the screen upside-down or just a partial display of the screen. The audio is good and solid with minimal to no noise.

It is a great tool and is easy to use. However, I am not a big fan of the interface. It is not very sleek and modern looking. The user interface looks outdated. While it is convenient to use, if we can add a feature to take over screen control like Skype has - that would be great.
  • Easy to use.
  • Take over control while screensharing.
  • Add the ability for a user to pin the menu so we don’t have to toggle.
For presentation purposes or conference calls, it is pretty good. We use it day-to-day for our conference calls and group meetings. We often also use it for one-on-one screen sharing. I don’t think it is less appropriate in any way. If it is not appropriate users will find some other form of tool to use.

BlueJeans is available across the organisation, but most people dont know that they have access to it.
It's intended as a connectivity tool for an organisation dispersed across a large geographical area, but few are competent at it.
  • Anyone with a web enabled device can access.
  • Generally simple to use
  • Instruction wording is complicated and could be simpler.
  • On my Samsung phone, with average WiFi, its functionality reduces.
BlueJeans works well if everyone is at a computer terminal- less amazing for mobile devices because it relies on the person calling in. An option to call or text a mobile device (or if the program did this automatically) would be best

4Finance is an international company across the EU, Americas, and part of Asia. We use BlueJeans for communication across the whole organization internationally and also for communication with 3-rd parties. All the team - business and IT - are using the BlueJeans daily for regular calls. It addresses all the communication business problems.
  • Calls and video conferences provided by BlueJeans are of high quality. Excellent is also a mobile application for people which are temporarily in terrain.
  • Recording of calls is extremely useful.
  • A mobile application could be better optimized for scheduling calls. At the time schedule calendar is not visible there.
  • When using Polycom end devices, there are sometimes problems when sharing the computer screen by connecting computer to Polycom. Sometimes one has to play around before it starts to work.
Do not find any case where BlueJeans would be poorly suited. It is useful, and the key is the quality of the communication line the whole week - which is satisfactory.

BlueJeans is used for both internal and external meetings at our company for when people need to screen share within the same office or are remote. I use the integration with Google Calendar that allows attendees to dial indirectly from an event on the calendar.
  • Integrates with Google Calendar
  • Mobile app for VOIP calls
  • Recording a session isn't easy, and can't always be found even by the event organizer who owns the calendar invite.
  • It's an app you have to download, which causes delays for first-time BlueJeans users hopping on a meeting.
-Embedding in calendar invites for remote employees or customers to dial into a meeting when you're not all in a room together.
-Great mobile app for when you need to dial in while driving/at the airport/in a taxi
-Screensharing
-Recording a call: doesn't work as well

  • Virtual training of the technical workforce in the plants across the globe.

BlueJeans is used by much/all of UM for videoconferencing. It has even been endorsed by our health system for securely discussing HIPAA-protected information. I use BlueJeans weekly for multiple team meetings with collaborators across the country; it allows us to have reliable videoconferencing with screen sharing and in-window text chat.
  • Moderator is able to mute other participants when audio feedback/noise is an issue.
  • Reliable
  • Screen sharing can be selected for only a single application, which allows you to keep other windows hidden (even when you pull them up on accident).
  • The whiteboard function is a great idea, but is still difficult to use.
  • I'd like to see BlueJeans allow other meeting attendees to zoom in on shared screens. My team often views spreadsheets together, and it is difficult at times to read the content of the sheet.
BlueJeans works well for conducting team meetings and video interviews. I've even had a professor use BlueJeans to hold study sessions with students before an exam, which he video recorded and shared for continued review by students.

I use it when I need to interact with teammates/vendors/customers outside of our typical workflow (Office). I'm not sure how many within company use BJ.
  • Easy to set-up and invite as a moderator since it is embedded into my email as an app.
  • Easy to start the call as moderator.
  • Occasionally as a moderator, I have to re-login. I'm not sure if it's my own PC or other settings, but it is a very minor issue.
  • Sometimes switching microphones/speakers (headset, business speaker, PC) can cause audio issues. I've found setting it up before the call and maintaining that hardware device throughout the call alleviates issues but occasionally have to switch hardware.
BlueJeans is well-suited for normal phone calls or presentations up to medium-sized groups of around 25 people. I have not tried it in a webinar format but find establishing ground rules for microphone usage, chat usage is helpful to alleviate interruptions and distractions with poor connections. It is less appropriate for mobile use, such as traveling without wifi or a strong LTE connection results in low bandwidth mode not providing adequate resolution to view slideshows. Voice calls can occasionally be scratchy, but that is alleviated by calling in separately via cell phone.

We use BlueJeans in our whole organization, we use it in meeting rooms and in the personal meeting as well. Our current problem with BlueJeans is the wrong timezone due to the cancelation of DST (summer time) in Brazil. We are facing some issues with it.
  • It's really easy to use.
  • Has a good layout.
  • It's stable, doesn't show any connection issues.
  • I would like a native black theme in the app and site.
It's good for a face to face meetings and for team meetings as well.
