BlueJeans [Meetings] is used for meetings and general discussions. It addresses the problem of meeting in person.
  • Allow collaboration over virtual meetings.
  • Consistency with bandwidth.
  • Ease of use.
  • Larger room capacities.
  • Better backgrounds for professional use.
  • More apparent indicators for certain usages of the application.
BlueJeans [Meetings] is best for formal, longer meetings or even classes that require more peer-to-peer interaction than other applications. While BlueJeans [Meetings], excels at this feature, it is important to discuss where it is lacking. BlueJeans [Meetings] can be unreliable or confusing to work [in the sense] that it doesn't showcase all of its features too well [and] breeds an atmosphere of awkwardness or silence since it can be clunky to utilize efficiently.

I use it to collaborate with my small international team of contractors. We have weekly meetings and other video calls as necessary. Additionally, I will provide video call consultations with customers from time to time. Recently, I've been gathering bi-weekly with a group of business leaders - we are all taking the same program and have success calls to encourage each other to reach higher.
  • Solid platform.
  • Many features helpful for business collaboration.
  • Virtual backgrounds.
  • Recurring meeting scheduling.
  • Integration with project management tools (Trello, Ora, etc.).
  • More virtual backgrounds for situational diversity.
  • Easier edits of recurring meeting series, specifically changing dates and/or frequency.
BlueJeans is very user-friendly for solopreneurs and small businesses with small to medium teams. Also community organizations where people can meet virtually to exchange ideas. I don't know how well it is working for large companies, as that has not been my experience. But I know several other social media agency owners using BlueJeans and we all agree it is a top platform.

Simple and easy to use!

The BlueJeans app is being used to conduct virtual meetings. It was especially helpful during COVID-19 when we had to work remotely. I was a new employee and I used BlueJeans to learn my new job. It is being used across the whole organization. To discuss issues, deadlines, projects, initiatives, etc. and conduct remote training.
  • Remote training.
  • Collaboration.
  • Easy interface.
  • Frequent disconnects.
  • Not always intuitive.
  • Back screen with no options to click on anything.
Well suited for those who would like to be trained remotely. Just share your screens and go from there. Very convenient! It is a basic and simple app that does not have advanced features. Simple to use and easy to navigate around. If you are looking for something fancy, pick Zoom.

BlueJeans is used by our organization to conduct virtual meetings between departments, and to do virtual presentations to parents and children enrolled in our programs. I'm not sure which teams use it the most. BlueJeans addresses the problem of current social distancing requirements due to COVID.
  • Scheduling BlueJeans meetings is easy.
  • Sending the invites is difficult and intuitive.
  • The general operation of BlueJeans is not intuitive.
  • People have difficulty operating the program.
BlueJeans is well suited anywhere a virtual presentation would be appropriate. Virtual meetings in general are less appropriate since face-to-face meetings are more productive.

Breakout Rooms were Great!

We use BlueJeans Meetings to run an afterschool tutoring program. We needed breakout rooms so each tutor/student pair could be together reading, but still have recording capabilities.
  • I like the recording aspect. With one click I can record the main room and every other breakout room will record as well.
  • We were always getting kicked out of the meetings what seemed like for no reason. It was really frustrating! We would have to have everyone log off and log back on.
[BlueJeans Meetings is well suited] if you need breakout sessions and don't have access to Zoom.

We use it for leadership meetings, IEP meetings, outside consultant meetings. Before COVID we used it very sparingly. This past year we use it daily. We have mixed it with ZOOM, and Microsoft Teams. Bluejeans seems the easiest for most folks once they have installed the app.
  • Connection is usually good
  • Video is clear
  • Settings are easy to navigate
  • Parents don't understand how to utilize it initially
  • Small learning curve
  • Minimal setting options
There are times when there are bad connections

BlueJeans was adopted as an interim measure to bridge the gap between differing internal technologies during a period of significant infrastructure renewal globally across all teams and locations. This included plug-ins to Outlook and Salesforce alongside adoption of the mobile app. It was the default option for all meetings internally and externally.
  • Ability to record meetings of inly a single person to use as training tools.
  • Mobile phone & calendar integration.
  • Hard to tell if this was an internal issue with our technology but the salesforce add-in caused problems.
  • Ability to choose default meetings numbers was counter-intuitive.
  • The inherent ability to customise the user experience is both a blessing and a curse depending upon the tech familiarity of users.
  • Showing my age but when used solely as a telephone conferencing tool a beep / signal that people have joined/left would be helpful.
I don't have any complaints about Bluejeans and I would happily continue to use it as the default conferencing suite in our organisation. Whether a failing of our organisation but the requirement for individual users to update / customise their settings was an occasional challenge for some of our users. A number of teams set up rooms to deal with isolation / lack of common working areas during the pandemic and it worked particularly well.

BlueJeans is used across our entire company and I have experience using it in both smaller team settings and company-wide all hands meetings. Most of my experience has been with these smaller meetings (anywhere from 2-10 people) and have found it to be useful when sharing screens for others to follow along.
  • Good sound quality
  • Integration with Google Calendar
  • Personal meeting code that stays consistent
  • Not clear where to change background settings
  • Not a lot of customizability for in-meeting view settings
BlueJeans is well suited to businesses or organizations that are already ingrained in the BlueJeans ecosystem and have other participants familiar with it. It definitely helps to have the BlueJeans app, which your everyday person might not have, so I think it's less appropriate to use for non business settings.

BlueJeans being used by all depts or all across the org. We usually use it for meetings and demonstrations. We also use it for social meetings like coffee breaks.
  • In my opinion it works for all occasions. Like meetings, seminars, and product demos.
  • Social meetings like coffee breaks, etc.
  • One on one interactions.
  • We have also used the recording facility in BlueJeans. It is a great feature.
  • The recorded links does not work on non BlueJeans users. I have not experienced it lately, but I have seen some other managers struggling.
When you have Pandemic, it suites in all scenarios!

I believe it's widely used in the whole company. It's the default meeting app we use on a daily basis.
  • High audio quality (w/ Dolby tech on).
  • Efficient background noise cancellation (w/ Dolby tech on).
  • Integration of the MS Office calendar.
  • The app sometimes got issues with handling various configs of I/O devices. Usually, it leads to an echo like when other participant's mic captures your voice. Although, it may be due to some random conflicts with OS (I'm using Windows and with desktop app).
  • Monochromatic chat box - why not use regular colours like in MS Teams / Slack?
If you value high audio quality during the conference calls, that's the solution you're looking for.

We almost use for 80% meeting and 20% for remote support the other user. Marketing and sales team is use it most, mainly to contact vendor and customer and sometime need to meeting with the other site. Also we are addressing the quality issues on meeting, eg.. sound delay, screen lag, etc.
  • The UI is easy to use.
  • Unlimited room can be create in one account.
  • Support is fast response.
  • Missing file transfer.
  • Management portal not easy to use.
  • Some feature need CS to support.
There is a lot amiss. I've used it many times from many connections and never gotten really good quality audio and video. You often get latency and breakups in situations where Hangouts or even Facetime would sail through. The chat window is hidden and in my experience almost never used. you can't control who you see (just a few modes), and there's often trouble recognizing headphones etc. So quite buggy.

Our organization uses BlueJeans to hold trainings and meetings. All of our teams use it. We as an affiliate, have merged with the West Coast. This program has helped us organize and train as a group instead of regional, in person training. This has saved us money and time away from our clients.
  • The program is easy to use.
  • The quality is great.
  • The instructions are simple and easy to follow.
  • I would like to have control on my end, to enlarge the screen.
BlueJeans is great for quick meetings and trainings. Prevents us from having to be out of our clinics and not serving clients. I really can't think of a reason why it would not be appropriate.

It was used but we transitioned to Zoom. Too many companies are using Zoom.
  • Audio.
  • Ease in scheduling meetings.
  • Outlook integration.
  • Video quality.
  • Stability.
  • Ease of management.
If your people need audio more than video use this. Its video quality is less then the competitors but its audio quality is superior. Many people have had to buy better mics since switching to Zoom.

BlueJeans is being used across the whole organization, from EUA to Argentina.
All departments use BlueJeans to speak internally between cities/countries as well to our clients.
  • Integrated people from different cities/countries
  • High-Quality video
  • Superb Audio
  • Translation
  • Connection with some Smart TVs
  • Send large files
For me, BlueJeans usable 100% of the time when on a professional or personal level.

We use BlueJeans when we are needing to review videos with clients on a conference call. It's used by our creative teams when showing work products to clients for review.
  • BlueJeans has the ability to preload video with their CDN to help alleviate streaming issues from sharing on a desktop in a video conference.
  • I would like the option NOT to have everyone muted if I'm playing a video. Let me make that choice.
Again, I really only use BlueJeans when I want to make a presentation of a video cut for discussion with clients. Otherwise, we defer back to Zoom, Webex, Google Video, or whatever the client prefers, which has never been BlueJeans.

In Sales, we are all using it to meet with our prospects, our clients, and our company. Whenever there is a meeting need, a sales person will send out a BlueJeans meeting to that person or persons. We also use it to share presentations with audiences. Our owner likes it because he can take control of the screen and use it to give his presentation. He also likes the quality of the voice.
  • Great voice - people can hear us clearly
  • Great at giving presentations. It is easy to take over the screen and give your presentation.
  • Easy to download and use the app on your phone and your PC
  • I do not know of anything
Any meeting I have conducted since August 2020 has been completed with BlueJeans. The quality is great. The sound/audio is great.

BlueJeans was used across all departments, for all our meetings. Unfortunately our subscription expired on Saturday March 20th, 2021, and we were not allowed to renew, because BlueJeans is no longer supported in our region.
  • Excellent recordings.
  • Syncs well with calendars.
  • Moderating meetings is easy to do.
  • Ease of use for persons who don't have the App downloaded.
  • When you change a meeting code, it should only be for that meeting and not all meetings previously set.
Can't recommend. It is no longer supported in my region.

I have used BlueJeans Meetings for both business and personal meetings. Most of the time, it's small, one-on-one meetings with shared screen and sometimes recording for later playback.
  • Marking highlights with notes
  • Recording and playback
  • Virtual or blurred background
  • Easy to use
  • Not compatible on all devices
  • Some people have video issues
BlueJeans Meetings works well for situations where every participant has a fairly new computer (less than two years old) because some older systems have compatibility problems. One of the unique features of BlueJeans Meetings is its ability to mark sections of a meeting with notes so that people reviewing the recording can jump right to those places in the video. That could save people a lot of time. Unfortunately, the incompatibility could be a barrier.

I am an independent job coach, which means I work with several clients and coachees. Since the pandemic started I have been using BlueJeans to have private one on one coaching sessions with my clients and my intervision meetings have also moved to BlueJeans. I started using it because, unlike a LOT of other online meeting solutions, it complies with the EU AVG-privacy policy. BlueJeans turned out to be dependable and great for screen sharing, which is essential in my sessions with clients.
  • Screen sharing.
  • Privacy.
  • For clients not used to BlueJeans (and only use it to be in a meeting with me once or twice), it would be helpful if there could be a kickstart pop-up where the program checks whether camera and microphone settings are okay - sometimes I lose time with this because the newbie doesn't know how to start up or where to find these settings, etc.
  • My use of BlueJeans is pretty straightforward. I remember getting e-mails that looked quite complicated about features I don't know if I use them or not. This left me unsure about whether or not I needed to take action.
I am sure it is well suited for a lot of things, but as I said I use it for one-on-one sessions. As far as I'm concerned it is suitable for almost any scenario I can imagine.

I am a professional freelance coach and Director of a company limited by guarantee. I use BlueJeans to:
  • Conduct 1-2-1 and group coaching sessions;
  • Run Director's meetings;
  • Chair Round Table CPD event for other coaches in my extended network.
  • Sound quality is good - valued by clients who are hard of hearing.
  • Breakout rooms are very easy to set up.
  • The user interface is intuitive and quick to learn.
  • The recording and download recording feature easy to use and reliable.
  • I would like to be able to save a group of invitees under a single name to make re-booking easier.
Very good for one-to-one and group meetings with breakouts into smaller groups. I've not found a scenario where I would consider BlueJeans "less appropriate." I regularly recommend to users who defaulted to other platforms without first exploring BlueJeans.

I use BlueJeans as a consultant with a number of firms. I use it both 1:1 as well as with teams occasionally.
  • Easy scheduling
  • Audio generally good, particularly on 1:1 settings.
  • Interface simple and easy to use.
  • In group meetings, the organizer photo is fixed on the bottom, often covering a participant's video and preventing you from controlling their mute button— frustrating.
  • Audio with multiple participants is sometimes problematic, not sure if this is connection/bandwidth with a particular participant or not.
  • Grow network effect of BlueJeans. Most people aren't aware of it and you will encounter "first-time user" challenges sometimes.
One to One: Terrific One to Many: not sure. It would be interesting to run side-by-side comparisons with Zoom and others.

I have used BlueJeans as the main tool for remote meetings with customers. And I will continue using BlueJeans: zero problems so far. I think BlueJeans is the most suitable tool for having a real-time dialogue with customers and screen sharing with the possibility to draw something is really important.
  • Screensharing
  • Audio/Visual: quality and reliability
  • Usability in general
  • User interface is clear and simple.
  • Blurring: Only thing that is not working properly (when in use, the picture is really unclear).
For my use, BlueJeans is the best alternative. For me important things are:
1. Connecting via browser (visitors).
2. Sharing screen.
3. Usage with Outlook (calendar).
4. Reliability (zero problems so far).

I have used Teams, Zoom, GoToMeeting, and Google and BlueJeans offers the best reliability, audio/visual- quality, the easiest way to use screen sharing (with the possibility to draw on-line), and break-out rooms are easy to use. Also the possibility to modify the meeting itself with your own background, etc. is really nicely handled by BlueJeans.

We use BlueJeans for all of our internal meetings such as staff and board meetings, and whenever we initiate a meeting with outside organizations, we suggest BlueJeans.
  • Recording feature
  • Ease of scheduling components
  • Reliability
  • Not widely known as Zoom and so there are occasional meeting delays with people having to download before use.
We have found it great for our board meetings and meetings that we want recorded. The automatic recording is great because there is no danger of someone forgetting to turn it on. It's also nice to get the follow-up email with the recording as well.

We use BlueJeans throughout our firm as the primary solution for online meetings and trainings. It's used to replace physical meetings given the pandemic but also pro-actively to host hybrid meetings that would have been purely in-presence before.
  • Good cross-platform usability
  • Breakout rooms are seamless and don't "break" as with competing products
  • Uploads for videos
  • Whiteboard function rather limited
  • Not everyone has access to BlueJeans in a corporate environment
  • Extremely large download for initial connection - people are always five minutes late
Well suited for intra-company work. Works less with external participants as most people are only familiar with the two largest competitors. Some people cannot install the app as per their corporate IT policy and need to resort to using their mobile instead.

I provide telehealth therapy for my patients. Due to Covid, I chose not to see patients face-to-face. BlueJeans (Meetings] has allowed me to continue with my practice.
  • It allows mer to meet with my patients for weekly appointments
  • The scheduling helps keep me organized
  • I really wish there was a waiting room because unless I lock the meeting, my next patient has occasionally entered the previous patient's session.
[BlueJeans Meetings] really works very well for my telehealth therapy for my patients. I do wish there was a waiting room.
