Well suited:
  • Very easy to manage video conference calls meetings and a very good interface to have all the information we need.
  • Very good quality for screen sharing in a bit more interactive session.

Less appropriate:
  • I think it needs some work and user experience thinking for more collaborative sessions, like using the whiteboard or even other options that other products on the market have.

BlueJeans is useful to us for setting up large conference calls. The most useful feature I have found is a browser plugin that allows me to create a meeting with my ID and put all of the people that I have invited to a meeting in Google Calendar. I almost never use the BlueJeans interface for setting up meetings or even starting/entering a meeting. I will always go to Google Calendar and follow the URL from there to launch the app. When doing one-on-one meetings with members of my team, we typically use a different service. The only reason my team uses BlueJeans is that it is what is officially supported by our IT department, and it is what is installed in our conference room devices.

BlueJeans works well in an office environment, especially in our conference rooms. It is easy to set up calls and the call quality works well. BlueJeans works really well when multiple offices need to call in for a meeting. However, when working remotely/calling in it doesn't state who is on the call and over the past few days whilst working from home I have had to ask in the call who has logged on.

BJ is well suited for connecting with good quality of sound and video with many users in various locations. It should better work with adjusting the quality of picture and sound for networks with lower speed. High-quality connection and minimum bugs for great corporate communication across continents.

BlueJeans is a tool specific to meetings; you click the link and join the meeting. No need to search the person for the conference, no complexity. You schedule a meeting, joining a meeting all with a single click. You can share your screen and access it through the web browser without installing any PC tool. This tool is not suitable for chatting or messaging inside the organization.

  • BlueJeans is well-suited for not only the well in-advanced scheduled meetings but also for the quickly needed meetings that can save a lot of time, travel, and money. I love the start-up feature when I have the meetings connected to my video system.
  • The only scenario where it can be less appropriate is when the client is unable to use BlueJeans as a means of videoconferencing.
  • With today's endemic going on BlueJeans is needed for companies that continue to do business remotely.
  • Also can be used for social distancing as a tool to connect with relatives and friends.

Regular meetings with remote team members, especially international regional teams. You can share presentations, documents, ask questions and share information. Captures lists of attendees which is useful for meeting notes. Not suitable for starting relationships with new people and struggles with very large meetings. Sometimes issues with the US and Mac users.

I'm solving my meetings with foreign clients with the share screen feature and a lot of long-distance training and webinars. Would definitely use it for transnational companies or when working with out of the country clients. The most helpful thing is that you can even take calls from your cellphone with a quick dial, no need to be on a computer or in front of a screen.

I recommend it to colleagues every day. I've sat through Join.me meetings with drop user issues, Skype drops screen shares, others have video issues. I always say "you guys should use BlueJeans." These are big companies that I refer to on a daily basis.

I think BlueJeans can be used either in business and personal scenarios although it is more appropriate to business scenarios especially because you can share your screen and everyone can see what you are exactly referring to. Maybe it's too good for personal scenarios, so less appropriate to those cases.

We primarily chose BlueJeans over other alternatives because of a commitment to one of our strategic clients. Now that our client is starting to move away from BlueJeans, we may soon do the same. Because we're an agency connecting with a wide variety of VC platforms used by different clients, we really need a system that is flexible enough to join calls and meetings hosted on all the major platforms without too much hassle for the user. This technology is mature enough by now that it should really be able to get out of the way of having a productive meeting, but sadly it's not there yet with BlueJeans.

If I want to set up a meeting and not have to explain how to join, and I just want them to click and sign-on, BlueJeans is what I would use. I would not use it if I had a ton of screen shares and breakout rooms.

We starting using BlueJeans, to allow a common meeting platform to be used across the organisation. It gave us the ability to have meetings on our room based Polycom systems, as well as at each desktop, enterprise mobile device as well as tablets and phones. It connects really easily to SSO solutions like Microsoft Azure, so that the users have a consistent login across the board. It is fairly easy to deploy across an organisation and connects into the users Outlook calendars fairly seamlessly.
It doesn't do Teams like meetings (a group of people to chat and collaborate during the day) and there are some limitations with the desktop application, which I am sure are being developed in time.

BlueJeans really has been a game-changer for the college. We're not a large university but a community-college--having an easy video conferencing solution makes us much more efficient and saves us money! Also, its bandwidth requirements are easily met by almost any connected device--even over cell plans. Like I said, staff meetings with branch offices are one good example. Offsite interviews are another (again very low bandwidth needs). In IT we use it for staff training. The only real situation that we haven't been able to use it for (licensing-wise) is actual instruction for students (such as tutoring--which would be great!).

BlueJeans is good for internal teams and events as everyone is familiar with using application.

It's harder to use for outside meetings and events because external companies have a difficult time launching the application, don't want to download program, or security settings are blocking them from doing so.

BlueJeans is excellent for organizations with multiple locations, providing a hassle-free connection through several devices: conferencing equipment, smartphones, PCs, Macs. It's also a good option when external remote meetings are part of the business, such as companies focused on sales or any other client-related activities. On the other hand, companies with only one office (or a few) and where remote communication is not often, then other solutions might be well suited.

BlueJeans works well for people who have time to download it if they've never used it before. Sometimes for new users, it can take a bit of time to download and get the app up and running. I'd highly recommend downloading ahead of a meeting. The weblink to access BlueJeans sometimes is harder to use for people who have never used BlueJeans before. Make sure you're prepared if you're using it for the first time.
