We are using Box for document management purpose. Box is one of the best Document Delivery System tool available in market. Box also has free version which is having all the necessary features available for using tool perfectly and deciding if premium version is required or not. We need to prepare loading register of the document which we are going to upload and that feature is i think old fashioned apart from that totally recommended.
  • Document delivery very easily
  • Very fast document delivery
  • Free version is also available
  • Simple layout
  • Loading register requirement should be removed
  • Tool is basic, More features can ba added
  • Space restrictions should be removed from free version
When document management system is required in any industry, Box can be used because it has no limit in usage scenario and best part is that Tool is supported in all the devices. So any document can be accessed from anywhere from any device, so on site this is so useful. Layout is very simple so everyone can easily use this

I used box extensively to manage thousands of data and programming files for mixed methods research projects with my research team. Much of the data that my team used for research projects had to be stored securely, and Box offers a secure method for storing files that met the criteria for our IRB approvals. My research team also needed to be able to collaborate and see file updates in real-time, which Box allowed us to do easily.
  • Box lets you securely store files.
  • Box makes it easy to collaborate and share files and documents with others.
  • Box allows you to sync files to your computer or the cloud to easily update files.
  • Sometimes the file syncing lags, which can result in team members accidentally working on outdated file versions.
  • The web-based version feels clunkier to use with lots of additional options that were not particularly useful for my team.
I think Box is great for research teams or anyone that has a large number of files that need to be securely stored. Particularly in the case of social science research, where it is important to protect identifying data, Box is a great option. In cases where teams need a more reliable means for real-time collaboration, I would probably consider a different alternative.

  • we can revise file uploaded in cloud and it will show version history also
  • Online editing need to improve more
  • The online file format is different from downloaded one
The revision history is very useful so we can see how many revision are done

Box is yet another entry into the cloud storage and sharing space for me. I have used it extensively for file sharing thanks to its simple interface and standalone apps. Media files, PDF documents, and other files have been a breeze to share within Box, and I appreciate the flexibility.
  • File sharing
  • File organization
  • Interface simplicity
  • Box notes
  • analytics for file viewing
  • more integrations with project management tools
If you need to create a wiki-style reference for a team, this can be very useful. Box notes are a great way to do this, and links to your files make for rich content. One use might be to think of Box Notes as README files like the ones that accompany software applications.

Mainly used to store larger files that I need for work and to collaborate with co-workers.
All of my main work files are stored in Box, so I can access it from any computer if necessary.
I also make and edit project-level files as needed, as well as reports and other relevant files.
  • Centralize files and data
  • Enables collaboration within company
  • Flexibility with local drive
  • Secure access
  • Sync can be a little buggy
  • Troubleshooting is not very intuitive
- Daily scenarios, such as saving and editing work files that I work on
- Requesting for other workers to review my work and to edit as necessary
- Forgetting to bring my work laptop somewhere and being able to access important files without worrying about carrying my work laptop around everywhere
- Accessing files from my mobile device in situations when I am not able to access my work laptop

We use Box to store our sales collateral, agreements, videos, etc., which allows us to collaborate with one another regardless of whether we're in the same office or on the other side of the world. I believe their tagline is "Access your data anywhere, anytime, and from any device," and that's the truth. As long as you have Internet connectivity you have access to everything stored in Box, and if you know you're going to be somewhere without Internet, you can download what you'll need ahead of time by dragging it into your quick access folder. It's a fantastic platform, and although we're a very small company, I can easily see how a company with hundreds of employees could securely share files and collaborate in real-time.
  • Strong security in the cloud
  • Large storage limits
  • Real-time collaboration with co-workers from anywhere
  • For how we use it it's fine. I don't have any suggestions for improvement.
Box is great for secure file sharing and collaboration. However, it's not an appropriate solution to be used as an end-point back-up solution.

Weve been using Box to share information with external vendors. Its mostly been used by myself and people in quality who needs to be sharing documents with external providers without providing access to our company shared drives.
  • Simple and easy interface
  • Good permission control
  • Solid security measures
  • Design really resembles other similar programs...
  • The desktop sync version and MS word sync functions are a bit slow
For my needs, they are satisfactory. No better or worst than competitors. I have used them for sharing information with out-of-organization users, people had no problem accessing files on Box. The only thing is that people are less familiar with Box than its competitors.

In my organization at the moment, Box is the official medium via which we can access day to day needed files from just about anywhere. I have found it to be secured, easy to use across a variety of platforms and it helps in promoting collaboration between individuals and teams, across my company.
  • Secured collaboration
  • Secured file storage
  • Smooth integration with third party business applications
  • Completely satisfied with my overall Box experience.
Box provides me and my colleagues in my organization, with top grade file security and end to end data protection for data we share within the Box platform. The aforementioned is obviously the major reason we deployed Box. Asides the above, Box does a good job as well in aspects such as collaborations, improved productivity via integration with third party applications, electronic signatures amongst other uses.

I use Box for sending requests for reviews of my project files. I get requests to create designs for website pages. Upon creation of pages, I send various versions of designs for approvals. I am trying to minimize communications by sending files via Box platform to the project team. I use Box for sending content documents as well along with design files.
  • I think box has a good price than some other vendors.
  • It helps me updating designs based on comments received from team.
  • It helps me minimize communication for getting approvals.
  • It will be helpful to get a real time collaboration within files from Box community.
Box is great for communication. Helps getting approvals from team via sending and sharing design files. It has good sharing options to share files with other colleagues. It works quickly to upload files and other type of documents. Inviting a friend using a link is easier. Would be great to have real time collaboration functionality.

Primarily, Box is being used for saving our work and official files securely in the cloud, from where we can access them across teams and departments. Of course, beyond file storage, Box also helps to address vital work related activity in the area of electronic signature and workflow automation, in departments outside of mine. However, in my department, we have used Box mainly for storage purposes.
  • Secured file storage.
  • Collaboration.
  • Workflow automation.
  • Limited offline capability.
  • Aside [from] the aforementioned, I have found my overall Box experience to be satisfactory, both in terms of efficiency and security of content.
For me personally, Box is suited for all things around saving files securely in the cloud, accessing saved files, and real-time, simultaneous collaboration. Also, it works well for automating workflow processes, at least I can verify this in my own little experience with it.

Box is used to backup important day to day work files across the length of my coy [company]. I tend to think our use of Box within my coy [company], has improved productivity within my organization, especially in situations where employees need to collaborate remotely. In this kind of situation, Box ensures that we always have access to much needed work files, as long as we can connect to the internet. In select departments within my coy [company], like the marketing department where I work, Box is integrated with internal workflow process, thus resulting in the automation and faster completion of regular day to day simple yet effective tasks such as scheduling events, requesting file access, etc.
  • Basic task automation
  • File storage
  • File collaboration
  • Integrations
  • Box on web browser is not intuitive.
  • Box does not make it convenient to share files with non-Box users.
In my own experience so far with Box, it is well suited for file storage activities, automation of basic day to day task, security of files ( our IT engineers regularly attest to the level of security within the Box platform) and integration with tools from other vendors for maximized productivity. These are some specific areas where Box does a fantastic job.

We use Box from time to time to manage files between our clients. Clients send files via Box and we use it to manage those files accordingly. Box helps receive design files and other format files for the projects. If a client wants to send files via Box, then this platform helps us manage them with it.
  • Box has a clean user friendly interface.
  • It has functionality to manage files upload easily.
  • Box has options for users to signup for free so they can receive and download files.
  • Integration with Slack would be great.
Box is good for managing the files to be shared with teammates or clients. It allows downloading files with a simple click from the provided link. Has easy-to-use navigation throughout the interface and website. The user-friendliness is great for Box.

Getting everyone on the same page with one place to work together easily on our most important content. Our organization depends on collaboration between lots of people, from teammates to customers to partners and vendors. Making it easy for individuals and teams both inside and outside our organization to do their best work.
  • Best-of-breed app integration.
  • Simplified workflow.
  • Seamless collaboration.
  • Data transfer with link to any user is not available like Dropbox and pricing is a little higher compared to Google Drive and lacks more features as a collaboration tool.
  • Sometimes there are some syncing issues in the background. Many of our employees face issues while using it from their smartphones.
  • During uploading feels like it's slower, by comparing other similar service providers it's definitely slower.
Box is a great option for file storage, file sharing, data collaboration works. For official works, we use Box without any hassle, it provides me the choice to control the access of files to individuals. It's used for sharing files within my department but also with other departments and organizations (e.g. external users that we cooperate with). We can share various documentation files between employees e.g. including process descriptions and other usages. With external users, we share procedures on how to use specific services and what are our internal processes.
  • Sharing large files which should not be sent via email.
  • Sharing documents with external users.
  • Sharing applications with external users.
  • Speed of access.
  • Options to grant permissions to external users.
It's great for sharing large files when not all potential users need them immediately. Also, it is good to share specific files with external users - e.g. documentation or some applications that third-party companies need to use but it is not safe enough to send via regular email service.

We are using Box to enable secure access to files on mobile devices and increase mobility of employees. Box has empowered employees to easily create secure and collaborative workspaces with external parties. It encouraged tighter collaboration between employees and it is now possible to upload files and communicate faster with clients, improving the level of service provided to the clients. Box saves time and eliminated the need to search for emails and attachments.
  • Box offers robust access permissions and audit trails to ensure we protect our content
  • Easy and secure access to information on any device across departments and with external parties
  • Enables immediate teamwork even on our phones
  • Increases employee mobility
  • I honestly do not have any complaint about Box at this time, I would just recommend observing proper file naming
The whole company believed in the mobile-first philosophy, and we wanted to provide this same mobility to all our employees and we didn't want employees to continue relying on unsecured forms of file sharing, such as USB drives and email attachments, and that led to the implementation of Box as our secure file sharing platform. Box is the solution that allowed employees to share files and collaborate freely but also met our strict compliance needs.

Box fulfilled communication needs and the ability to share multiple file types with project teams and vendors outside the company. Marketing teams access presentations and marketing collateral during meetings with clients without the need to download those materials ahead of time. Most times we are under pressure to gather numbers from a variety of sources and unite them into one document, Box helped us connect data from different sources, connect dots from region to region, and from device to device.
  • Enabled collaboration and file sharing efficiency while keeping data safe
  • High mobile productivity and time-intensive document management
  • Constant communication with internal and external collaborators
  • It cost me a huge amount of time to group all the files and export the list
  • Some files did not display in alphanumerical order despite being numbered
  • Better to be sure of the exact location of a file to make searching of the file easy
Box is the perfect platform to enable secure collaboration even in mobile environments while integrating with existing applications. We deployed Box as the primary platform for managing and collaborating on content. Despite requiring more time to learn than other legacies on-premise content management solutions, Box enabled more efficient and secure access to content on desktops and mobile devices.

Its the tool I use to sync files between my computer and the cloud to make them available whenever needed and to make sure they are never outdated. Any changes I make to files in one device are reflected on all other devices. Streamlines the file sharing process throughout the different offices no matter how far they are physically.
  • Multiple people can do concurrent edits and revisions to a document
  • Reduces the risk and potential loss of data caused by leakage
  • Real-time file synchronization between my computer and the Box server
  • Defining permission settings for different file viewers
  • Bigger files take much time to sync to the server
  • No option to re-order sync management
  • More filters per column to get a particular file
Something tremendous I noted about Box is files are accessed at LAN speed without being constrained by internet bandwidth when sharing with a colleague in the same office. It allows us to access all our files without consuming the storage space of office PC. When syncing huge files to the server its better to split them

I use Box for file sharing and inviting other collaborators to create Word documents, spreadsheets, and presentations, as well as for collaborating on these documents in real-time. It is packed with oodles of features and options for file storage, syncing, and collaboration. Box backs up entire hard drives and systems. By simply clicking on files and folders then tabbing over to ''details'' I can view their sync status on my account.
  • Collaborating with other colleagues on marketing projects
  • Team management and controlling access to files and folders
  • Managing cloud storage data
  • Grouping documents into folders
  • High price tag for small businesses
  • Box notes are not quite as good as note-taking apps
  • No link download limits
I can easily create and edit documents then assign a general or approval task to any file with comments. Three of its four plans come with unlimited storage, making it the only cloud storage service offering that much space. However, it can still be expensive for small businesses.

Box is fantastic if you'd like a strong, secure option for working with data within an organization. It's especially appropriate if you get the Microsoft Office add-on, so you can have multiple individuals editing documents within Box live. It's also well-suited for data that needs a high level of security.

We primarily use the Box app for asset management with Clients who prefer to use this platform. We also use it for audio file storage and playback on training from within our organization.
  • Audio playback
  • Image and PDF hosting
  • I know it's not a primary focus, but using the Box app for audio playback can be a little finicky.
Box is great for asset management. We have seen success with plenty of our clients and our implementation of it with them has not been difficult. Overall, the learning curve is very low. If you're looking to just store images, I would recommend a different cloud storage service.

BOX is a good product used for file and data sharing. It's a very easy and portable tool used to keep and share big files which can't be sent over emails.

If you are worried about you data you can back up on the cloud BOX.
  • File and data sharing via a URL.
  • Data storage over cloud.
  • File synchronization with your PC.
  • It has cross platform usage so can be used on all OS including Windows and Mac.
  • You need premium version in case you have to upload large files.
  • Mobile application edition is not that user friendly.
  • Internet connection is required to access the files.
  • Support could be a bit better.
It's well suited if you want to quickly send large file to someone else via URL link although using it as a storage is a bit difficult as you need a good and robust internet connection.

Photo sharing can be a hassle due to lack of metadata.
