Dashboards are an amazing quick view of an overall snapshot of what is going on. I love the ability to customize and set up multiple dashboards for Accounting, HR, Project Management, etc. The ability to fine-tune a time period is one of the best features. Time Sheets are easy to use for staff with minimal training.
  • Invoice Collections within Billing is a great tool because of the ability to take notes and track contact.
  • Invoices are professional looking and easy for our clients to understand the overall progress within each phase of their project.
  • Dashboards are the best tool EVER!
  • The Contact List feature within Clients setup is the perfect way to track multiple project managers within a large company that also has multiple contracts with us.
Cons
  • It would be great to click on a dashboard area and drill down into an actual report.
  • I'd like to be able to customize what reports I see within Time Card > More > View Reports, set up a memorized report, and then access it from there while also being able to reset date parameters.
  • I'd like the ability to further customize payroll settings. Under Global Settings > MASTER INFORMATION > Employee information > TIME OFF > I like that I can re-name 4 fields of the Activity Items, but I need more and my name does not transfer to some of the reports I use.
  • When emailing invoices, I would like the choice to send from more than one email address. For example, my Project Coordinator creates and sends out invoices to clients so her email signature is used. I, send out reminders under the Collections area but I need to replace her signature with mine every time. It would be nice to be able to choose more than one "signature" to send from.
  • It would be great if you could have a "most used" section for reports. Needing to sift through 200 reports and read/decipher all the descriptions it a giant time sucker.
There are too many reports to choose from and no previews to see what you will get. I inevitably end up with an 84-page tome. The filters need to be revamped to help drill down.

Creating new projects using templates has been a tremendous time saver. The ability to easily track expenses and billable hours per project phase has made invoicing through BQE CORE a breeze. BQE CORE also integrates well with QuickBooks Desktop.

BQE CORE is a great project management software for our Architectural firm. Being able to easily run time detail reports on a project and/or specific phase within a project has proven to be invaluable to our team.

We use BQE for project management as well as time tracking, timekeeping and time entries. Mainly, though, we use it for project management in the accounting department. It's a great program for being able to separate projects into individual tasks and bill accordingly. The interface is easy to use and quite intuitive.

Cons
  • Searching for a project can be difficult, and times out quickly
  • I'd appreciate more options in terms of how to search
  • There was an update to the platform which made it easier to use and addressed any other concerns
This program is fantastic for keeping track of time spent on projects, time worked overall, and for project management. It's a good tool to use when performing accounting tasks, although I wouldn't recommend it next to anything liker QuickBooks. But as a basic time tracker it's tops. Enjoy using it!

We utilize BQE Core to track hours, manage projects, and organize our work. The ease of use and access we have to monitor our utilization is amazing; the ability to compile reports from time entry memos makes project closeout a breeze. Specifically, BQE Core is just a massive time saver and the additional widgets allow for monitoring of individual employee metrics (utilization rates, budget, etc.) which has really been an eye-opener.

Cons
  • Increased Compatibility with 3rd Party Software (BQE Core has already improved on this in the year that we have utilized it).
BQE Core has made project tracking and closeout a breeze. By far its greatest application is in time tracking and report generation; it also does a fantastic job at monitoring individual and group performance metrics, which helps in realizing what areas can and should be improved upon during project work. Overall, if your company manages several projects at once between multiple employees, BQE Core does a fantastic job in providing for organizational time management.

My company uses BQE CORE to track billable hours to clients as well as non-billable hours (PTO, company events, etc.) that are spent during each work week. We previously did not have a program/system that showed us a breakdown of how our hours were being utilized but the pie charts in this software definitely solve that issue for us and help to visualize how my time is being spent.

Cons
  • User interface could be easier to navigate
  • Speed of program (lags when inputting time)
  • Time sometimes disappears and I have to put the time in again
I love that you are able to submit PTO requests directly to your manager or director for approval. It's also helpful that it keeps track of all the PTO time you have used and unused throughout the year. This definitely eliminates the hassle of having to go to accounting to know the balance of your PTO hours.
