Creating new projects using templates has been a tremendous time saver. The ability to easily track expenses and billable hours per project phase has made invoicing through BQE CORE a breeze. BQE CORE also integrates well with QuickBooks Desktop.

We use BQE to track daily work on individual projects and recently are tracking hours spent to better understand our percentage of budget used. Multiple employees are able to track time for various types of work, from construction projects to in-office work. Supervisors review timecards to ensure completeness and accuracy, which greatly reduces the time our payroll coordinator spends.

Simple and easy to use as needed with the ability to be more complex. At the base and introductory level, BQE CORE is simple and easy to use. There are very few distractions, and it is easy to train people on how to enter their time. However, CORE can still provide more complex reports and viewable widgets for those who like to monitor different information.

I have been using BQE Software for almost 4 years now. I have been reguarly logging hours and expenses as part of my daily work. I really love the app version in which I can snap a picture on the go from my receipt and toss the receipt away immediatelly. It has saved me tons of time of collecting receipts and then balancing my credit card account. As comparison, colleagues that travel as much as I do can spend up to 7-8 hours per month to review receipts, link them to credit cards, and then pulg them in. I don`t spend any extra time. <br>Tracking billable hours is also pretty easy and there are couple of options to do so for each personality from using project timers that you can play and pause to straight old-fashined type of plug-in. Overall, I am very happy of this software.

  • It`s pretty easy to keep track of project time making sure I have logged time for all work hours.

BQE is great for companies to keep track of the productivity, hours spend on jobs, and expenses made on projects. Our admin team is able to process expenses and file for reimbursment on regular basis which is very important for any business.
I don`t use many of the features unfortunatelly. I use the system only to the extent requested of me. Nevertherelss, it`s important for me that those features are easy to use.

I use BQE Core for Billing and Accounting. As a firm it is also used for project management. We have also recently added on the CRM. About 6 months ago, we were ready to jump ship from CORE to somewhere else like Deltek because of all the issues we were having. However, with the new CEO and sticking through many changes that were rolled out by CORE, it is now much better and we are much happier with the system. There are still glitches that continue to happen, but we are also filtering through those that are spurred on by our own user error/practices that were not helpful and when it is an issue with CORE where we need to call up and have someone help, there is always someone who can help fix whatever the problem may be. Changes are still happening and we patiently await some of those to make this an even better platform for efficiency in communication, invoicing, and project management.

We run BQE CORE as our main software for the company and house all project details, invoicing, our bookkeeper utilizes this software for our books, and we also use the massive reporting data to help make the financial decisions for our business.

BQE CORE is our entire Project Management, CRM, HR and Accounting software. Thus far BQE CORE has been great to work with and they address your problems and/or issues in a timely manner (usually same hour/day). They are constantly updating and improving their product and the best part is they listen to their customers via a community board. So, when I discover a function, they don't provide, I do feel heard when I address this. The one main draw back that I have found is that they are lacking on some fairly basic reporting and accounting functions as well as simple organization and contact solution functions (such as assigning a specific contact to a certain function). Fortunately, I do believe they are addressing concerns and needs. I do wish they had a handful of clients/customers who were permitted to beta test and provide feedback, I think it would go a long way, especially if they utilized individuals in accounting. Overall I am satisfied with the software and when the staff actually uses it properly all systems work properly.

Thus far my company utilizes CORE 100% for all processes, from project set up to invoicing, to general office payables, to time & expenses and fortunately we have had very little issues - BUT - we are hesitant because of some lack of accounting options to fully make the switch to no longer double check our reports via a more traditional accounting software such as QuickBooks. I would love to not have to do double the work and 100% rely on CORE. It's getting there and I do believe they listen to our concerns and suggestions and I am confident that with time it will be everything we need.

I used BQE CORE to enter my time at the end of each workday, specific to the particular projects that I was assigned. Also, I used BQE Core to bill for specific tasks associated with a particular project that I worked on. BQE Core helped my company, Earth Environmental and Civil, organize which employees worked on a specific project or project by the hour. Also, BQE Core provided a way for my company, Earth Environmental and Civil, to see if one particular employee spent too much, too little, or an appropriate amount of time working on a specific project. Of course, this was dependent on that project's billable budget and whether we could bill time to that particular project at that given point in time. Whenever an issue came up with BQE Core, such as projects suddenly not being billable or a glitch with BQE Core itself, BQE Core could always be counted on to solve the problem promptly (usually within a few hours). BQE Core was an excellent company to work with and for Earth Environmental and Civil to use for billing purposes, as they always responded to any emails or questions on time as well.

Interior Design firm. Great for tracking time and overview of project budget spent, invoiced, etc. Good customer service and training. Reports are a bit complicated to figure out how to get the data you are looking for. Could be more user-friendly but not too bad once you learn it. Allocations forecasting feature still need work to be useful. Would love to see a procurement and specification functionality added to the program so we can streamline our invoicing process. We currently need to use another program for this portion of our business.

Allocations allow me to assign hours to employees but the forecasting aspect does not update with only remaining hours as employees have spent them. In other words - I can see the estimated average hours they should spend per week when I enter it but can't see an updated average hours per week as my employees spend the hours. If they spend 50% of the hours in week one of 4, weeks 2-4 should update to show 16% average per week instead of 25% average for the remaining weeks.

I mainly use BQE Core for logging the tasks that I set out to complete for the day. In order to receive pay, the accounting department reviews my time entries and deems them an appropriate use of time. So, BQE core serves to to easily verify one's productivity levels in a quantifiable and straight-forward way.

BQE CORE has been a great addition for us. I am now able to keep better track of Accounting of the business and per project than with my previous software. Also, CORE has allowed employees to directly input their time sheet into the program rather than double entry as before. The software was brought online way ahead of schedule and that has allowed us to better track project performance. I also love all the training that is available on specific areas of the program.

Our highest use and priority are for invoicing. The program allows us to move time round and adjust rates as needed. It's great for record keeping and tracking expenses, payments and invoice history. It has room for improvement, especially the search features, but BQE Core is frequently making improvements. It could be faster. Customer support is always available and helps me with any questions I have and with ways to use the program better. I would recommend this product for any business billing on a timely basis.

We use BQE Core for time and expense tracking, as well as project management services. As many of our projects are billed on an hourly basis, it is imperative that we are able to track our time accurately and quickly. BQE makes this a very easy and simplified process. Being able to assign to-do's is also a good way of ensuring everyone stays on track with a project and that nothing falls through the cracks. BQE Core has been a very valuable tool for our team.

At first, like any new software, it was difficult to follow, but then when we figured out how to load all of our information it was much easier. Most of the HR and billing reports are easy but not all the time what we are looking for.

We use BQE to organize, review, and send invoices to clients, see our productivity with projects with cost rates versus bill rates, and we especially use the reports to get information for clients, townships, and engineers to keep track of their projects. This product addresses our itemized invoice issue that we previously had - we got the software in order to get a more detailed report/invoice than what anything else could offer.

Was looking for a time & hourly billing management as well as lead tracking/bill hour to that nonchargeable endeavor integrated system. After a ton of research and free trials, found BQE Core with their CRM package (considered but did not purchase their Accounting package as the base package had what I needed for invoicing and expenses). Hourly billing had to allow extended phasing and add on of additional services/contracts, under the amin client number, but also with different contract approaches for each phase or sub-project. Also had to be able to change rate by year and somewhat by project or project phase. BQE Core anticipates all of this.
  • Preset automated reporting, so that you don't have to create (wrong) reports
  • Time input from any device and any location
  • Tracking for non billable marketing as well as billables
  • Startup training is available (& you need it so that you get off to a great start)
  • A report that shows the key setups for a project that can be glanced over quickly to assure it is correct
  • A way to set a new start date for the dashboards and data set, or a way to default old bad data to a default so reports run without bad data showing up.
Use it as a sole proprietor, initially just for time tracking, then adding invoicing, then CRM, then expenses. All experiences and products were good/spot on, especially the preset reports, not having to create them was fantastic. Issue I had was that due to not committing to learning the full suite (and some quick improper setups) rearward looking data usually had errors and faults, which took time to fix. Wish the training was pushed to me a bit more, and I had set aside the time to set up my standard project types completely. Highly suggest you do this and the software will work well for you. FYI, non-chargeable is a s big a management effort in my company as chargeables, and this software treats the management of them just as importantly, as it should be.

  • Training - it can be expensive, so maybe they could think about group training to help small businesses afford it.
We previously used ArchiOffice and were looking for a software program that would give us greater visibility into how we are doing from a project perspective, and BQE Core does this. It is really easy for staff to enter their time - either in the office or in a mobile situation - and the ability to convert timed work into a time entry is great. Core treats each phase of a project as its own project, and I wish you could bypass this feature as it would work better for us if each phase added up, and then all numbers added up to the Parent Phase.

BQE Core has worked extremely well for our small company. I particularly like the option that BQE Core will accept credit card payments and deposit them directly into our checking account. The only minor issues I have with BQE Core are that sometimes the credit card payments are off (+/- $0.50) from what was invoiced and that makes reconciling our books a little difficult.

BQE Core is used at my company as a way to track hours and request time off. It is a helpful tool to organize the projects we are working on by specifying the part of the design process that we are currently working on and what we did for that task.
  • Organizing projects
  • Allowing specific tasks to be imputed
  • Requesting time off
  • Making notifications more obvious
  • Simplifying some of the details in columns of time inputting
  • Some glitches when filling in time and a new box does not add up to add another line
I believe that the Core BQE system is a good way track hours, billable and non billable, organize projects, and manage time off.

Using CORE to invoice our clients has freed up so much of my time I'm afraid I could have streamlined myself out of a job. Billing previews that used to take days are now done in hours. The time to create invoices and submit them for approval takes about 25% of the time before CORE. Easy to learn and a breeze to use.

Changing to BQE Core from the previous program is a major upgrade. They have so much going on in the background, providing project information that is invaluable in keeping projects within budget. I still have a lot to learn to benefit from all the features. I do not speak accounting but I appreciate those at BQE Core that do.

It is apparent that BQE Core was set up with design firms in mind. We do both architecture and structural design and have done for more than 30 years. Being a designer, I do not speak accounting very well. Even though I have been in business for so long. I believe that including a non-accountant in preparation of training materials would benefit many of your non-accountant customers.

We utilize BQE Core on a daily basis for time card entry, project management, and invoicing. We find that utilizing these functions helps keep us on track for compliance. We also record budgets and monitor them to stay ahead of any billing issues. We have also reached out and taken advantage of the custom reports option.
  • They are very good at responding to any inquiries we may have.
  • They are good at understanding our needs and implementing any custom options.
  • The security features that are able to be implemented with each employee is impressive.
  • There is a function for everything when it comes to sorting and filtering specific reports and how to get every bit of information possible.
  • The payment and invoice screens could go hand in hand.
  • The statements option leaves a little to be desired.
  • Classes and trainings could be readily available.
This is a great option for a small business that needs some guidance. I was not familiar with QBE Core prior to working for a civil engineer but it is very easy to learn and it can be utilized by anyone . There are a ton of training scenarios and helpful hints if you do not know the answer to something.

  • Bill quick is a perfect solution to create invoices and be able to bill many different attorneys on different projects.
  • Works well for our QMS as well.
  • It takes some time to learn the software, the tech support team was great in getting me up and running. If you want additional reports they have a custom report group but their cost is a bit high to modify reports. It looks a bit complicated but actually, it is easy to use.
Running a practice and staying financially solvent is key with a way to measure progress with tasks, time, and fees. CORE does this and in a way, architects can understand it since it is designed by architects. However, it tries to cover all variations on running a firm and while appreciable, it can be confusing with too many choices to search and select from. The flexibility is a plus once you reach out to customer service (live24/7/365) and they kindly walk you through a solution.
