So Far, So Good! The program is integrating and consolidating our use of several other programs. So far, BQE CORE is providing us real time status of projects in production and assisting us to tracking and distributing manpower. BQE CORE appears to be easy to use by staff and leadership. We are still learning the program and it's limitations, but it is already proving to provide leadership with project management information needed to better address production needs.

We use BQE to track daily work on individual projects and recently are tracking hours spent to better understand our percentage of budget used. Multiple employees are able to track time for various types of work, from construction projects to in-office work. Supervisors review timecards to ensure completeness and accuracy, which greatly reduces the time our payroll coordinator spends.

We use BQE CORE for our civil engineering company. It helps us track accurate hours for projects, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and larger time period reviews of our accounting status. The reports are easy to use and understand. The expense reporting is very well put together in order for us to properly reconcile all purchases.

  • Some changes and updates they make are not intuitive and there can be issues with a toggled setting that will effect the rest of a process you are working on.
  • The checks won't print more than 5 at a time for me currently though that may be a user error.

I think that BQE CORE is very well situated to help with time tracking for project specific companies. It is great and processing bills to pay and invoices that need to get sent out to clients. The ease of time tracking is great. The expense entry process is also easy and can be shared easily with a company to make sure everyone is on the same page.

My company uses BQE CORE to track timecards, input expenses, and print expense reports for billing. CORE allows for convenient time tracking for various projects our employees work on throughout the day. Our managers can then use the timecards to direct time and focus to different projects depending on how much time they see each person has spent on their projects. As an employee, CORE is relatively easy to use with a bit of training.

CORE is well suited for project based time keeping. As an architecture firm, our employees are often working on several projects during the day and the simplicity of just entering the number of hours worked streamlines the timecard process.

Somewhere CORE would not be well suited would be a case where the time when someone did something is as important as the amount of time worked. For example, if a company expensed lunch for the employee but only if the employee was working from 12:00 to 1:00.

I enter my daily time sheet and view project status. BQE CORE makes entering my time much easier and allows me to see how projects are tracking. The web interface is great, allowing me to work anywhere. One thing that could be better is the speed in sorting through projects as you enter them.

BQE CORE is well suited in daily time entering for multiple employees of a company. I have not run into any issues with limits in the number of projects per day that I use. It has nice reminder features as well as reporting features. Personally I have not had any issues with the software from a time entry standpoint.

My company uses BQE CORE for billing and workforce time entry in the architecture space. In general, I am an employee user that utilizes the software to enter time spent on various projects, and for that reason I find BQE CORE to be a straightforward approach to organize a multitude of projects with varying amounts of time - I find this particularly useful on a desktop application to interface, as I can see all my project numbers, time, days, etc. in one place.

We run BQE CORE as our main software for the company and house all project details, invoicing, our bookkeeper utilizes this software for our books, and we also use the massive reporting data to help make the financial decisions for our business.

BQE CORE is our entire Project Management, CRM, HR and Accounting software. Thus far BQE CORE has been great to work with and they address your problems and/or issues in a timely manner (usually same hour/day). They are constantly updating and improving their product and the best part is they listen to their customers via a community board. So, when I discover a function, they don't provide, I do feel heard when I address this. The one main draw back that I have found is that they are lacking on some fairly basic reporting and accounting functions as well as simple organization and contact solution functions (such as assigning a specific contact to a certain function). Fortunately, I do believe they are addressing concerns and needs. I do wish they had a handful of clients/customers who were permitted to beta test and provide feedback, I think it would go a long way, especially if they utilized individuals in accounting. Overall I am satisfied with the software and when the staff actually uses it properly all systems work properly.

Thus far my company utilizes CORE 100% for all processes, from project set up to invoicing, to general office payables, to time & expenses and fortunately we have had very little issues - BUT - we are hesitant because of some lack of accounting options to fully make the switch to no longer double check our reports via a more traditional accounting software such as QuickBooks. I would love to not have to do double the work and 100% rely on CORE. It's getting there and I do believe they listen to our concerns and suggestions and I am confident that with time it will be everything we need.

I use BQE CORE to enter my daily time spent working on projects for different clients. The system is used to report and track employees' time so that our company can invoice/bill our clients for the work performed. A feature that we are excited about using is the ability to enter available hours on specific activities for clients before entering our time to ensure that we do not bill for hours over what is available.

  • When I add time, the user functionality could be improved by removing the content bubble after entering the hours. It forces me to select "Done" again after I've already entered my hours and moved out of the cell and sort of follows my mouse around the screen.
BQE CORE is great for reporting and tracking time specific to projects/clients. It organizes the projects well. I'm not sure if the site would be useful for companies that are only adding hours and not descriptions of daily time.

BQE CORE has greatly benefited our small engineering firm over the past six months, streamlining our time tracking, expense reporting, project management, and invoicing processes. We previously tracked time and expenses manually so upgrading to a software where it's more automated has really proven useful for our company. While there was an initial learning curve, we quickly adapted, and the software now operates smoothly. We have not encountered major issues, and the responsive support team and helpful training resources have been invaluable.

This business management software is overall pretty great, particularly how it integrates timekeeping with project management, invoicing, and accounting all in one place. The user interface is clunky and takes some getting used to. This is a great tool to keep track of billable and non-billable hours that employees are working so that businesses can charge their clients accurately for work performed. Also allows for a good review of the type of work you have been doing for your clients and can easily call out any adhoc work not specified within the contract.

My company uses BQE CORE for keeping track of timesheets and billing. There is a learning curve and it took some getting used to at the beginning, but after a few weeks, everything went smoothly. I haven't experienced any major issues with the software. The support team is very responsive. We are in the Accounting/Finance industry. This is a very appropriate software for companies who pay hourly employees or companies who have contracts with clients to perform work. It allows one to easily view billable hours worked on various projects.

Interior Design firm. Great for tracking time and overview of project budget spent, invoiced, etc. Good customer service and training. Reports are a bit complicated to figure out how to get the data you are looking for. Could be more user-friendly but not too bad once you learn it. Allocations forecasting feature still need work to be useful. Would love to see a procurement and specification functionality added to the program so we can streamline our invoicing process. We currently need to use another program for this portion of our business.

Allocations allow me to assign hours to employees but the forecasting aspect does not update with only remaining hours as employees have spent them. In other words - I can see the estimated average hours they should spend per week when I enter it but can't see an updated average hours per week as my employees spend the hours. If they spend 50% of the hours in week one of 4, weeks 2-4 should update to show 16% average per week instead of 25% average for the remaining weeks.

We use BQE Core mainly to track basic project information - clients, project descriptions, due date - and for invoicing. We also use some of the report features to track employee utilization, project budgets and profitability.

BQE CORE has some missing elements that we have had to supplement with other apps and integrations. We currently use another program for project management and another for more detailed accounting. Sometimes, we get great service an problems are solved quickly. Other times the issue is not properly identified, and a band-aid solution is provided.

We use BQE Core as our Project Management, Time / Expense Tracker, Billing / Invoicing, and for Accounting. Every new project we receive to work on, goes into Core. We have been expanding our uses into dashboard usage to share with our team, Monthly automatically reporting, and KPI tracking. We are able to understand our financial metrics as well as our means of cash with reconciling from our bank as well. The only thing we aren't using or probably don't have a huge interest in yet is the CRM / Sales tools. We have been told multiple times by CORE employees, for a small company, we are pretty robust in our use of CORE and the project management tools. Something incredibly important to a small design studio is making sure we are managing the resources given to us effectively on the said project. Keeping budgets, allocations of hours, and our expenses in line for our projects is so key. Being able to filter through projects and understand how we are doing from a macro scale to a micro scale of a certain phase has been a big focus as of late.

BQE CORE is well suited for someone that wants to overpay to keep track of time, invoicing, and standard financial metrics. BQE CORE has the opportunity to be a really robust operating system for an architectural practice that wants to understand how projects are going, how they can improve as a studio, and move forward in providing great impact to their clients, all the while, spending less time in a boring software that no architect wants to use. BQE CORE can feel like a necessary thing for a studio to be managing growth well. But it also can be a lot of fun, intuitive, and exciting for an architect that just wants to be an architect. It can be a learning tool. However, it's too clunky, it isn't flexible, only reactive, and backwards looking for KPIs. To integrate with interesting equations of how a firm can look at project success, turn it into a dashboard for the entire studio, that would be fun. The banking cloud feed is one of the worst I have experienced. The lack of reporting customization is awful. And the amount of redundant information that has to be put into a project that you actually want to have phases in, track your allocations, and manage it, is entirely too cumbersome. BQE Core has an AWESOME foundation. But to build the proverbial house, we gotta care about the craft.

I am using BQE CORE every week to keep track of time that I have worked on for each project. I think that it is very well organized and I find that it is really easy to use to fill in your weekly time sheet. It simplifies hourly reports for project managers,

BQE CORE has been a great addition for us. I am now able to keep better track of Accounting of the business and per project than with my previous software. Also, CORE has allowed employees to directly input their time sheet into the program rather than double entry as before. The software was brought online way ahead of schedule and that has allowed us to better track project performance. I also love all the training that is available on specific areas of the program.

I am a professional engineer by trade. Once I found out that CORE was designed by Arch/Engineer, then I knew it was probably right for me. It definitely makes an engineer able to think like an accountant.

I use CORE as project tracking tool, specifically to help with resource allocation across all of my company's projects. CORE can break down resource allocation across projects, people, or engineering disciplines, and this allows our discipline leads to track and forecast the utilization of their team members across a selected time frame. This insight is critical in ensuring our teams are not overworked and feeds into business decisions regarding hiring for additional positions.

  • System has some bugs which make filtering via groups useless on some screens
CORE is well suited for time entry and reporting across employee groups and projects. CORE can generate many useful reports, however the customization and filtering of these reports isn't exactly intuitive. It can be difficult to get the reports to show the data you want, and there is no way to remove data fields from a report or create a custom report.

Customer Service is excellent. Invoicing is great. Report function is cumbersome & more complex than it needs to be. Depending on how you search data can be inconsistent. For example, when data is pulled it can be organized by job number, other times by name. But then you can't pull data by just the job numbers (so why have them?). In my opinion, dashboard has inconsistencies with the billing amount vs income vs hours. Fee schedules can't be changed easily.

We use BQE CORE for all time and expense tracking, client billing, and general accounting. Migration from another BQE product was a challenge. I feel they could have made this easier on the client by being more organized and arranging an reasonable and transparent timeline to know what to expect during and post-migration. Our training wasn't scheduled until the migration of the data was complete. At which time they had none of their regular trainers available for weeks, and a Senior Staff Member had to step in to get us rolling with the new product. There were several issues discovered during the first 6 months that we are still waiting for a resolution. Their customer service is friendly and available, but the follow through and time to resolution is in need of improvement.

I was looking for a project management, time management and accounting program for the firm. In our field there aren't a lot of programs that do all of those for a small firm, we were able to choose what modules were needed for our office. They were previously using manual invoices and time tracking, and no general project management. We are now able to not only track time, but use the data to help forecast our business and prepare better proposals. Invoicing is streamlined and easy.

At first, like any new software, it was difficult to follow, but then when we figured out how to load all of our information it was much easier. Most of the HR and billing reports are easy but not all the time what we are looking for.

  • Easy for accounting to run weekly reports and there are many of them
  • Accounting sometimes looks for ways to run reports that aren't available
