Bridge has been a really wonderful platform for all types of learning management and career goals. It has changed the narrative in our operations from people begging to move up, to empowering our employees to have the conversations to set themselves up for success in their personal and professional lives.
  • Video learning
  • Learning tracking and management
  • 1 on 1 meetings
  • Discoverability for assigned items
  • Incentives for utilization of the software
  • Total year to date course [hours] review
Bridge is really good for medium to large size companies who might have their own education department. It's a wonderful suite of tools that allows people to learn everything they need for their job and even some helpful personal education as needed. Bridge is only as powerful as the people utilizing the software. If you don't have a person or team dedicated to creating training and keeping it up to date, you will find less people using it on a daily basis.

  • The ability to see who has and hasn't taken certain courses can ensure our compliance and safety standard.
  • Education goals our company has set help to ensure our employees utilize the software.
  • Using this in tandem with HR software is a complete package for HR.
I have not used many competing software to Bridge. Most other companies use and manage this training manually. This can cause a lot of headache. birddoghr is a software with a similar goal to Bridge, I found the user interface to be very hard to navigate and there is basically no discoverability in the knowledge library.

  • Ongoing support and training.
  • Advanced features.
  • Opportunities to expand and enhance use.
  • Feature edits are costly.

Bridge is used across our entire organization to deliver online learning to all team members. The focus of Bridge is to provide team members with an opportunity for practice in various business processes and software. We do not house knowledge in Bridge but rather the application of knowledge and certification in knowledge areas.
  • Bridge is able to accept any raw SCORM data and return that data in a report. This allows you to track detailed information about learner interactions in courses and report on those interactions.
  • The interface is simple and effective. People don't need a lot of help getting around Bridge and getting the information/training they need from the system.
  • Bridge's support is second to none. Anytime you need support or have a question, a support agent is ready and happy to help you find a great solution.
  • Bridge has an internal authoring tool that is very nice to have; however, it is weak in its ability to provide interactive learning. It is focused on a tell and test method.
  • Bridge is a little up and down with its speed of operation - some days it runs fast and clean and other days it's slow and clunky.
  • At one time, Bridge was doing bi-weekly updates to their platform to add functionality and lately, they have focused on other products, so the Learn product doesn't get the updates some of us have come to expect.
Bridge is very well suited to all online learning situations. I would recommend Bridge to anyone needing a learning management system simply because it is a robust system with the fewest issues of any system I have seen. All LMSs have their downfalls, but Bridge has by far the fewest.

  • Bridge has allowed us to get products to our audience quickly and effectively. There aren't hoops to jump through to get things published and going.
  • Bridge allows us to quickly and easily see who is taking training and who isn't. We can be compliant very easily.
  • Bridge allows us to get details on the performance of our learners so we can fill the gaps more effectively.
Bridge is more open and more compliant with modern technologies than other systems we looked into. Some of them wouldn't run SCORM 2004 (only 1.2). Others wouldn't give back the SCORM data we fed to the system. Bridge also had the simplest interface out of any of the systems we looked into.

We are using Bridge across the organization for compliance training, such as harassment prevention, and departmental training for topics that you can't purchase, like how to set up a bait tank. We like it because we are a 24/7/365 organization and it lets people do their training when it is convenient for them and their department. We have had many challenges in the past getting people together for live training programs. It is also very easy to use.
  • It is quick and easy to develop programs.
  • Easy for learners to utilize.
  • Easy for supervisors to manage.
  • We really like people being able to quickly register for live training.
  • Easily assign training to individuals and departments.
  • It would be helpful to have easier reporting features such as combining all aspects in one report - completed, still due and overdue - instead of separate reports..
  • Being able to assign permissions to individuals who may not be supervisors but responsible for training in their department.
It is great when you have a variety of shifts, people with a wide range of skill levels, and authors of training who don't have a lot of experience in developing programs.

  • More effective in getting training completed than bringing people in from all over town for live sessions.
Easier to use and didn't have all the bells and whistles that we didn't need.
  • We are still in the learning stage but see lots of potential for the future.

To support Bridge I find that patience is the most valuable. Even after almost three years people are saying they can't log in. When I ask them what they are using for their user name, 99% of the the time they are using their name instead of their six-digit employee ID number. Or, when a supervisor asks when the next orientation or first aid class will be and I have to remind them the full year of upcoming classes is in Bridge.
  • Simplicity
  • 24/7 availability
  • Ability to create our own courses. The courses we need most are ones like how to clean horse stall, how to set up a bait tank, how to do a dip net survey. They just aren't out there to purchase.
  • Simply train more authors who can create more courses and programs.
It has been very useful to our organization in getting compliance training complete. We have a 24/7/365 organization with some folks only working 2 days a week during the summer only, many work full-time jobs elsewhere and can't make weekday programs and facilities don't have to alter schedules to get mass numbers of people through training like you have to do with live training..

Being totally new to e-learning, I found this product very easy to learn and use.
Can't think of a thing.

Yes
Change management was a small part of the implementation and was well-handled
Sometimes your supervisors will be your biggest challenge.
  • Resistance to learning something new.
  • Supervisors taking time to learn how to use an LMS.
Our challenges were internal - nothing with Bridge. We had regular, productive meetings with our implementation representative.

Always timely and knowledgeable assistance. Very patient explaining answers to novice users.

  • Adding learners.
  • Setting up live training schedules.
  • Adding courses and programs.
  • Would like to see more flexibility on reporting.
  • Ability to assign roles to non-manager positions.
Even our folks who fought using it realized how easy it was once they took their first course.

Bridge is used to educate our customers. We sell a software product that we cannot hire enough support reps to answer the phone to support. We are using Bridge as a solution to our problem to lower support call volume.
  • Easy to navigate and use
  • Looks pretty- lots of white space
  • Focuses on the fundamentals- hosting and tracking learning content
  • Credly integration sucks- badges/leaderboards need to be in house. Seems like your two companies are at odds with each other
  • Credly badges are only available on the main account not for subaccounts
  • Not able to see groups of programs together to track learning progress. That is wonky- I get it- a group of courses is a program. You can't group programs together and call it something (like a curriculum)? So this grouping functionality can only happen on one level? Pretty lame

  • We need more data to determine
We also evaluated KMI and Accord LMS.

We selected Bridge because it appears to get the fundamentals right. All of the other LMSs overwhelmed us with the quantity of functionality instead of the quality of functionality. We ended up going with Bridge because it appears to do a few basic things really really well
  • It is performing as expected - we haven't had any pleasant surprises

Customers who use our products. Insurance agents actually

I need technical people who like learning process. Content development is huge but also administrative skills needed to keep things running.
  • Training our customers how to use our products better so we can lower the support call volume
  • Internal training for new hires
  • Nothing else
  • ...
  • Internal training that isn't new hire training- recursive training for underperforming empoyees
  • Onboarding a new client involves some work on the clients end. This training could be used to host courses for them that show them how to do their part in the onboarding process. There are certain things only they can do to convert their existing data over to our systems. These courses would help show them how to do that
  • thats it

Pretty likely because Bridge is a good product that will probably meet our needs. However now that I am more familiar with what the LMS can/can't do I will probably be a better shopper to see if there is another LMS that can fill the gaps that this one has
