Reviews
(51-75 of 77)BrightEdge - Great for getting started
- Visual representations. Clients love seeing the graphs and it makes it easy for non SEO people to understand what needs to be done.
- Tracking large sets of data. BrightEdge allowed us to see hundreds of keywords, in different kw groups, and compare across a site.
- Track multiple clients. BrightEdge made it easy for us to track different accounts and clients without getting data confused.
- The recommendations are very basic (shorten meta title, change h1 to include a particular word, even when it's already optimized)
- It doesn't understand clouds of keywords, so you have to input each variation of each word yourself and waste tracking space (since kw tracking is limited)
BrightEdge Review
- BrightEdge keeps up with the ever-changing algorithm updates by the major search engines.
- BrightEdge is easy to use and the interface is rather intuitive.
- BrightEdge offers helpful and actionable recommendations for all types of site optimization.
- BrightEdge's documentation can be lacking. Some of the new changes take a lot of tinkering around or practice before you can understand how to implement them.
- BrightEdge's support at times can be slow or take days to respond. It is easier to go through a rep than the support line to get a question answered or a change implemented.
- BrightEdge, thus far, doesn't integrate with Google's Universal Analytics and is spotty with Site Catalyst, tools that our clients use.
BrightEdge - SEO reporting at its finest
- Tracking your rankings weekly
- Comparing your rankings with your competitors
- Providing detailed reporting on your SEO progress, rankings and Share of Voice
- Outlining potential SEO problems and recommending solutions
- The recommendations that are delivered are very basic and fundamental
- The product focuses mainly on your ranks and structural SEO components and does not provide the most in-depth look at back-links or other potential issues such as duplicate content
- Reporting: it provides great visual reporting and a weekly snapshot of your overall SEO health and to track the progress of you SEO campaigning efforts such as: earned media, content marketing, website changes etc.
- Competition Insight: It gives you a weekly update on your competition and lets you know how you stack up compared to your competitors
BrightEdge and SEO Success
- Great customer service and training.
- Forward thinking new iterations of the platform (social and landing pages).
- Their annual conference helps customers get insight into case studies and how other businesses are using BrightEdge.
- The benefit of content, search and social integration is hard to measure, continued efforts towards development to grow integrated features would be great.
- Would like to be able to turn off recommendations some times to push the learning and actionable insights that come from understanding the business and making strategic decisions about next steps.
- The share of voice charts only show the keywords and competitors the user has defined, would like to see a more holistic definition of share of voice (like what we see in comScore).
BrightEdge helps identify areas of opportunity.
- Search Engine Optimization
- Keyword Discovery
- Search Traffic Analysis
- Their platform is definitely not something that a novice could pick up without some assistance from their team.
- It's not immediately obvious what all of the tools do, and how best they can be leveraged to direct action.
Brightedge: Informed SEO Tools
- It provides insights as to how your optimization efforts stand up against competitor terms and shows you your "share of voice" as it is called within the program.
- Provides a platform for anybody to go in and understand where there are opportunities for SEO improvement.
- Some of our clients are older legacy clients and are still accustomed to receiving SERP reports, so it fills that need as well.
- Sometimes the user interface has proven to be less than intuitive for some of our analysts, and has made them hesitant to fully adopt the program.
- Some of the new product additions, like the integration with Google Webmaster Tools, was extremely difficult to implement, seeing that we had to try to do it for over 100 different websites.
- Setting up dashboards and reports is time consuming initially, but is a nice feature once in place.
- BrightEdge is a very robust tool which allows for analysis across many websites at once.
- I particularly like that this tool provides recommendations on how to increase your SEO presence at a very detailed level
- It's very easy and intuitive to create and download reports
- We've had to undergo several internal training courses to get everyone up-to-speed on how to use all of BrightEdge's features. It is not the most user-friendly system if you've had no prior exposure to it.
- Ease of use and setup
- Tons of SEO and marketing data interpreted in an easy to understand manner
- Very comprehensive
- Covers mobile, social, technical aspects in addition to SEO
- Site Audit tool
User Friendly Platform
- Quality metrics on keyword ranking
- Graphing and reporting
- Dashboard is easy to drive and understand
- None right now I can think of
BrightEdge review
- Keyword performance and rankings chart. The charts made it very easy to present to a broader team.
- Page level recommendations.
- Competitive insights.
- Ability to sort by customized time.
- Tabs that are not intuitive, some of them could be blended into the others- need a lengthy training to understand.
- Could improve upon the backlinks information
Ben's Review
- User interface provides data we need to create reports
- Navigation is user friendly
- Charts provide enough data
- Their team is working to improve customer service
- Linking module can be improved.
- Page level reporting should include historical data.
BrightEdge is a Smart Choice for Large Scale Operations
- Find opportunities from competitors
- Research new keywords to track and optimize for
- Pair keywords and pages for in-depth recommendations
- General recommendations a bit too broad
- Can be annoying when you try to add keywords and you run out of room in your account. You have to go back and delete. A simple swap would be more efficient
BrightEdge helps to understand web presence and performance
- I have been working with back links and I like how BrightEdge allows me to see who our competitors are linking to.
- I have used keyword discovery to gain insight into top competitor's keywords.
- I also like the fact that dashboard reporting is so easy to customize for our changing needs.
- I would like help with sorting back links according to country codes. I haven't discovered how to do this.
BrightEdge is good.
- Frequent updates and feature improvement
- Resource and blog access - loads of knowledge passed on by the BE team
- Shifting from keyword focus to something more page-centric.
- More canned summations would be welcome. Sometimes you look at the data provided and don't realize what you might be missing or what exactly the data's communicating.
BrightEdge is a no-brainer.
- Identifies competitive data, tactics, results.
- Easily displays recommendations which can be prioritized based on expected impact.
- Managers can assign tasks to team members.
- It would be great to find data on GoogleMaps for Local SEO.
BrightEdge Goes Above and Beyond as an SEO Platform
- BrightEdge allows us to monitor the competition specified, allowing us to find their strengths (keywords, backlinks, etc.) and use that to further our clients' success.
- The platform also allows us insight into opportunities we may have but do not know about, with the Share of Voice tool and Keyword Discovery and SEO Performance tools.
- The dashboards are easy to manipulate and easy to understand allowing you (and the client) to see data in multiple ways, plus there is no limit to the dashboards created.
- Wide variety of Search Engines to choose from - Global vs. Local, Desktop vs. Tablet or Mobile, Google vs. Bing, etc.
- The local search engines available are based on demand, therefore they are not available for every location and sometimes not even available in certain states.
- While the Events tab allows you to add Events to any account, going back and finding events is not easy to do as there is no "Search" functionality.
- The "Save As" functionality in dashboards does not always copy the dashboard exactly, and will default some charts.
BrightEdge did more for us than any SEO firm ever did.
- The Recommendations were particularly useful for me, since I was the Content Producer at Walker. The insights were critical to the development of new content.
- The Analysis / Share of Voice module was great for understanding how our efforts stack up against our strongest competitors. This helped us better prioritize our work and tighten our focus.
- The Reports and customizable desktops were very useful in explaining the work the Online department does, and most importantly, the link between our SEO efforts and online lead generation. It helps validate our work!
- Streamline functionality for completing tasks. Sorry, that's my only complaint.
I really liked having bi-weekly phone meetings with our BrightEdge rep, but because of our different levels of usage, it probably would have been more helpful to tailor those meetings to specific users.
BrightEdge Review
- BrightEdge continually adds new features along with new educational tutorials. This keeps the product fresh and dynamic.
- BrightEdge allows users to easily create and assign tasks so that team members can easily work together on a project.
- The recommendations section provides easy-to-understand instructions for improving the performance of key terms and pages.
- The pricing for the product is a not entirely straightforward so it is difficult to compare the price of this product to competing products.
- The sales team is somewhat pushy.
- accurately and timely present ranks of keywords over a spectrum of period for our global clients
- The depth of the data and how it was able to compare different sets at the same time going back 2 years
- all the data is shown in an easy-to-understand method and it doesn't take long to master the navigation and admin
- Doesn't support multiple logins at the same time, it limited our ease to access
Brightedge Review Jan 2014
- Site Audit
- Keyword Reporting
- Social Signals
- Annotation correlation- let me inscribe the work I do and overlay it with every data point so whenever i pull reports for date range I can know what has or has not been done
A Quick Review of BrightEdge
- Analyses
- Keyword monitoring
- Chart and layout templates
- User Interface
- User's guide
- Accuracy (sometimes the product is a bit off)
It's the best digital marketing tool in the market!
- Ranking separation bar (1-10, 10-20) etc.
- Weekly Ranking Reports
- I honestly didn't see any.
- The Competitive Analysis features increased productivity by eliminating the manual process of performing a competitive analysis.
- The competitor monitoring reports are not just data dumps and instead dashboard can be configured to display competitor data and visualizations.
- Usability. One of the main strengths of BrightEdge is its usability. The platform is intuitive for any level of SEO expertise and its clean UI provides a great user experience.
- The SEO recommendations aren't advanced or innovative but are derived from webmaster guidelines and SEO best practices. Don't get me wrong, SEO fundamentals are essential for long term success but you would expect more out of an "enterprise" SEO platform.
- While BrightEdge does integrate with 3rd party APIs, it is limited. For example, SiteCatalyst was integrated but very few metrics were accessible and none of the reports were interactive.
- BrightEdge only keeps historical data for active keywords and competitors. It would be very useful to be able to archive and import historical data.
Brightedge one of the most reliable SEO Platform solution for managing large scale SEO campaigns and projects.
- Ability to optimize for multiple keywords per page
- Track thousands of keywords at large scale
- Ability to geotarget rank in the top markets
- User interface could need some work
- Ability to pull reports and parse data needs improvement
A very efficient tool for powerful SEO insights
- All keywords are easy to sort within specific groups, and one keyword can apply to multiple groups without an extra cost.
- Keyword and page recommendations are a nice place to go to in order to pull insights for people new to SEO and do not know where to begin.
- Template dashboards allow for easy creation of reporting tools that are created specifically for a job role (i.e. CEO, CMO) - allowing the most important KPIs to be pulled for reporting purposes at any time.
- When comparing data week over week, the time frames clear whenever a different group needs to be examined for the same time frame. Keeping these weeks static will increase efficiencies when comparing multiple keyword groups across the same time frame.
- The new page reporting that was created in response to (not provide) can be improved. Often times, agency reporting is provided on a monthly basis, whereas estimated visits and revenue are generated on a weekly basis. Adding an option to pull in monthly data would be extremely helpful, or will at least encourage my team to use this feature more.
- More feedback for the new page reporting - I don't feel I can trust the estimated visits from keyword rankings. Allowing synchronization for ClearSaleling and other larger platforms as well as the option to compare page metrics with keyword rankings will make BrightEdge the ultimate SEO tool.
